@SUPERplaid4 I did. I poked a hole in the top and the bottom and tried to blow out the insides, but it cracked on the bottom so I smashed it and threw it away.
@Palivizumab I saw a book on decorated egg-making, once. I recall an image of a hypodermic syringe. I think it was supposed to suck the insides of the egg out with, or something. I suppose it could be used to squirt extra water inside, too, to help loosen all the internal contents up. Hmm. Maybe a glass drill could be used to make a slightly larger hole? I have seen emu eggs all engraved to make sports trophies with, but that's illegal, nowadays. I guess turkey eggs would be a good size to try!!
@Palivizumab I think I read one can get salmonella, or something, from blowing on unboiled eggs. I guess they come out of a hen's bottom. Maybe wash 'em in disinfectant first?
@zuditaka salmonella is not as common as people think, most eggs even raw wont give you salmonella unless there very old. Also you cant blow a boiled egg.
@kinseren LOL Yeah, I know a boiled egg can't be blown. I think I saw an egg-blowing vid on YouTube where salmonella was mentioned. Well, it's soon Easter Egg time, so have fun with your chicks! I hope you get out the food dyes and decorate some pretty eggs!
@kinseren I thought of that, too, but I wondered if they could be dyed in various pastel colours, first--food dyes, of course. Hey! If you've got various breeds of chickens, you don't have to worry as they may come in all shades from white to pink to brown. And don't you have Araucana chickens in America that lay BLUE eggs? I'd love to see those decorated!!!! Maybe make some "marbled tea eggs" for Easter. They look very pretty, too, once peeled!
@zuditaka actually I do have chickens that lay all those colors including blue and green,we get pink and brown as well, and some of our ducks lay black and a weird olive green. the marbled idea sounds AWESOME! I'll post a vid of my eggs around easter when I decorate them!
@kinseren Just go to Google Images and type in "marbled tea eggs". They look so very pretty and taste nice too. You can use strong black tea to do this with, but I know someone who uses soya sauce to stain them with. It might be fun to try food dyes, or red beet or blueberry juice, too. Turmeric for yellow? Lucky you, having so many natural colours--not like the plain ones in our local supermarket! Happy egg decorating! Google "decorated eggs", too, in Google images for more lovely pictures!
Thanks for sharing. I love doodling with pen and ink. After a while it becomes a cognitive process and is quite relaxing. Whenever I'm stuck, I watch your videos. They are truly inspiring. Thanks again.
That's amazing!!!!! Did you have to wear jeweler's specs to do that with? I'm sure the Faberge decorated egg people would employ you. It's great the way you execute your ideas so very confidently. I'm sure a lot of people would buy your work. Like, if this was half an opal, or cameo stone, or whatever, instead of an egg, it could be set in a jewelry metal backing thing and worn about as a necklace. It's the sort of classy stuff you'd see in the department stores I can't afford to shop at!!
so beautiful

Did you make this up as you went along, or did you have it pictured in your head at the start?
I love it!

@RangerNightshade while his art is very nice, the truth is making even a modest living on art is very hard to achieve.
@Palivizumab Btw nice work again.
