This looks like a really good game, but I have one concern: Why do you take over every city when you capture the capital? Is there a way to turn that off? I understand capturing all the surrounding buildings when it's city is capured, but to completely take over an entire country when it's capital gets taken seems unrealistic and worse, unbalanced.

@every116 you can set the victory conditions to whatever you want. It can be captire every city or 70% territory, etc. Here its set on taking the capital. To get to the capital however is not as easy as it seems in this video. It takes a lot of resources to wage a successful war, and it takes good economy, defense and management.

@WarlordofSatrae yes and no , i find the Colossus more important ,there`s 50 more ppl that u can get by building it adding that when u have terra cotta army and ur population is maximum it can be very annoing if you wanna train some soldiers cuz terra cota is keep making infantry and you gotta kill them every time in order to make what u want

bro, you probably already know this, but in the begining when you make ur farms and what not, if you click shift then build the farms u dont have to keep clicking on the building icon, i can just make 5 farms rigth away, hard to explain but im sure you get it :D

lawl. I was a small country sandwiched between 2 big countries(both declared war on me and one invaded me) I split up my army and took half of it and invaded the country to my left. (Japan)

I Took one of their major cities over,and then sent reinforcements. I then made a peace treaty + alliance with them, and used them to help me push back the invaders from the other country that declared war to my right.

Basically, ownage.

I always go 2 refineries and at least 7 wells. That seems the best way to gather oil. Most of the time I have 2 refineries and 10 wells. It's overproduction I know, but if you lose wells to the enemy you have back ups. Overproduction and inefficiency is not bad if you keep losing buildings to the enemy. Also, on sparse water maps such as Great Lakes, a navy is not very important except to cover openings in your territory. However a good navy can really expand your empire.
