The whole movie is great -- a gem to be sure! Its best scene, imo, is where Lars gives CPR to the teddy bear. Kelli Garner (Margot) acted that scene so well, I'm surprised the Academy didn't give her an award nomination for her performance.

The Screenplay is pretty good, Ryan Gosling is probably one of the best actors today.

Anti-sex family-values religious fundamentalist propaganda to insinuate their ideology among the liberal indy-film-loving public making an "outrageous" "original" yet "heartwarming" comedy about a man and his rubber girlfriend. Lars goes to church, so we are assured from the get-go that he has no sexual thoughts about his rubber friend. Church? Sex? Google words like Christian church sex scandal. This country is headed for a right-wing religious future. They have us exactly where they want us.
