  • Is Ken Morse the only Rostrum Camera operator working in British TV?

  • my bad to try explaining anything to you ok! caught me i confess the earth is flat if that's what you wanted to hear! if conspiracy is what you understood Venus project is about

  • Who put those funny looking rockets aroung Saint Sophia cathedral?

  • @Dodo251 who is living in fantasy is yet to uncover. but i assume you say all these speculations by meeting so many people from so many different countries ! well in order to delight you go watch zeitegeist documentary series . finally criticizing other cultures for what they did in the way you do, doesnt make you better than them, so yes you called yourself no worthy of the name "human".also i never denied all the bad things the turks did or said they are better than Byzantines.

  • @TheDeviljohngr Oh, a zeitgeist buffoon. Now I know what I'm dealing with here. So long.

  • @Dodo251 you never dealt with anything, cause never listened to what i said! if you despise the zeitgeist idea cause it destroys the myths you have been "taught" ( it is important here to understand that you blindly accept everything you have been told to believe in from your environment , and never investigated for yourself to see if its correct) then you are worthy no more for a serious conversation

  • @TheDeviljohngr When I confront a typical conspiracy nut like you, I drop the entire argument. Have a nice life.

  • In he previous vid it was said the marble blocks were held together by iron rods. Just wondering....Had they lost the knowledge of Concrete by this time???

  • I wish Russia and the Baltic states would brutally retake Constantinople back from the heathens of the Middle East, since they share the faith of Byzantium. Every time I see the crescent moon on top of the Hagia Sophia, I cringe. The Muslims couldn't even build their own separate monuments, they stole the engineering marvels of Christianity by erecting their own blasphemous symbols. It's time for a righteous holy war; 1.) Against Judaism, 2.) Islam. Take back Jerusalem and Constantinople.

  • @theone1087 the byzantine architecture is inspired from eastern architecture, domes and arcs are middle eastean architecture, the columns in greek monuments are taken from ancient Egypt architecture, greece "civilisation" was taken from Egypt...Europeans and greeks took their latin alphabet from pheonician middleastern alphabet...christianity is a middleastern religion, judaism and islam are too, western europeans progressed thanks to muslims of andalucia and sicily..CIVILISATION is MIDDLEASTERN

  • @MoroccanBoy2011 That is true, civilization in that region is Middle Eastern and thus the "Cradle of Civilization. Also mathematics, our numerical system (0-9) and all European languages (Sanskrit) are descended from India. Although India is not "Middle-Eastern," it's a testament to how "recent" and relevant "White-European Civilization is. While the Vedas were logically formating Sanskrit and the Egyptians building the pyramids, the Britons, Germans, Gaelic (Gaul) were living like savages.

  • @theone1087 About the architecture you should know that column goes is a base structure that is used in the Greek buildings since the Minoan era wich is the same age as the far ancient Egypt and middle eastern civilizations. Plus the column was used in ancient greek architecture and traveled all the world through Alexander the Great. Romans inherit all architecture from greece. Byzantin Empire used all the knowledge could reach and for that all the world should be thankfull.

  • @theone1087 Civilisation is not the buildings. Civilization is the deep meanings that were born with philosophy and passed to all science. All these eanings are still expresed in greek words cause that was the language they were created. Ofcourse in the M.East many tings and thoughts could have started but it was in ancient Greece that these simple acts of everyday life were elevated into art, science and philosophy and passed to the rest of the world.

  • @MoroccanBoy2011 Sorry my friend but you need to study deeper... "Europeans and Greeks took their..." Latin Alphabet is a Greek Alphabet and greek Alphabet has only a few in common with the Phoenician you mention. Actually Greek n Phoenician alphabets propably were developed in the same era. But greek has a uniqueness that is the fact that you read what you see and you mean what you say (+ it has vowels).

  • @ELLINOPAIS And to end this in Sicily were Greeks and the andalusians you mention are much latter to be considered. Roman Empire stood on Greek civilization, Byzantium stood on Greek knowledge (+ language spoken) and ofcourse the European thinking (after 1453 is based on the same greek ideals - even though materialism now is the main way of life) Friendly yours.

  • @theone1087 because of people like you so many people died for their different beliefs . take your fanaticism and leave the building you idiot! there is no cristian or muslim we are all people that leave on planet earth, get over it!

  • @TheDeviljohngr Illiterate idiot. There are Christians and there are Muslims, whether you like it or not. Unfortunately, the latter can't live in peace with the former so they decide to blow them up and cut their heads off. It were Christians who built all the marvels of the Byzantine empire, not fucking smelly Turks, and Christians SHOULD reclaim them. Get educated.

  • @Dodo251 i thought a while if i should answer to your stupid and arrogant comment, but let be. First of all educated doesnt mean anything at all, cause having learned so much crap as you did doesnt make you more open minded and clever. its not how much you learn, but if what you learn is true and correct!

  • @Dodo251 so for above mentioned you should better check and investigate some matters further not that you have learned from your crappy and politicized education system.(and this stands for all the countries). and about how cut whose heads , dont be sure byzantines were angels! if you are greek check what the word byzantism stands for!eventually i dont vote for any culture but the humans as one, cause humans are one and same, whoever thinks the contrary he isnt open minded and just.

  • @TheDeviljohngr I'm not Greek. But I sure as hell realize the fact that most of the "Turkish" architecture is in fact Greek, only usurped. I also recognize the fact that it were Turks that roamed, pillaged, slaughtered and raped on the Balkan peninsula throughout 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th century. You can live in your fantasy land where we're all same and everything's fine but you'll soon enough realize that there are "people" unworthy of being called human who would kill you in a heartbeat.

  • @Dodo251 also you should realize that there werent any conquerors throughout history that didnt roamed, pillaged, slaughtered and raped! there are countless references, and what you fanatics give for solution is another war, crusade etc thats it people keep being arrogant and stupid thats the way humanity will definitely perish by its own hand.

P.S. Alexander the great thought persians were barabrians, but when he reached Babylon he realized the contrary, or should i say alexander the slaughter?

  • May the holly wisdom and devine love of our Christ the Savior guides you forever !

  • No wonder that Tsar Ivan III. and Orthodox Patriarchs of Grand duchy of Moscow, named Moscow as the third Rome.

Third Rome, as the Christian and spiritual ancesstor of Byzantium.

  • No wonder that Grand Prince Vladimir of Kiev the ruler of all Rus people has chosen the Greek Orthodox Christianity as Kievan-Rus religion.

When his messengers and diplomats came back from Byzantium, they thought that they have been in the heaven on earth.

  • I love the ending, that the Emperor and his doomed defenders prayed in the Church of Holy Wisdom - the Crown of their City and Empire - before going to what they knew would be certain death. It must have given them the courage and the fortitude to walk into certain death with clarity of purpose and a sense of immense patriotic pride.

  • @edinscot56789 Too bad they died so willingly believing such a thing.

I'm sure the Empire would have fared just as well if they were Epicurean instead of cultists. But imagine the lengths they would have gone to to avoid death in war... Or us.

  • @edinscot56789 Archieves say that most pooped in their pants and all hided in the church which made it easier for the turks to round them up.

  • @erdal0 Well, I was talking about the soldiers, not the general populace. But I imagine most people would've either tried to escape or hid in their holy places.

  • The Byzantine will rise again. Turks are not Europeans, no matter what the EU says.

  • @alexpetro27 You're right, but the Turks had a hell of a time trying to take the City. You'd have a hell of a time trying to take it back!

  • @alexpetro27 are you an american or WASP ?

  • @alexpetro27 @lova6lovo dont forget 1921

  • @alexpetro27 Ironically, the Turks do not see themselves as Europeans, the Turkish government might be interested in joining the EU, most of the population are not.

  • And there came the mongol turks who had never ever seen a building in their life and decided that every beautiful thing must be destroyed!

  • Not for a long time, arkadash...

  • @Kadir69

Problem with your comment is that it is a reminder of oppression and admission of guilt. In saying what you did will bring no sympathy for yours when payback (soon) comes around. We in the West are all growing tired of this artificial state called Turkey.

  • thats why instanbul could not continue to make the world prosper and the middle ages came. Because your barbarian millions of turks ancenstor destroy it lol. Are you proud you are a turk? lol I would kill myself if i was turk

  • @MuttinMan.You Should kill yourself. Period. Are you proud you're a jerk?

  • @AkaMouTinn shame u greek and ask european union for money ahhaahah

  • The Empire is eternal: It is to last as long as the world.

    •The emperor

    •The church

    •The senate

    •The army

    •The people

Long live the Byzantium Empire and the Greek tradicion.Greetings from Chile.

  • @escudero. You hit the nail on the head; Christianity, as personified in the Greek Orthodox Church has, and will continue to flourish regardless of the endless 'Pope Bashing' that Rome has to deal with from it's own people. Constantine knew what he was doing in establishing the Eastern Capital. Islam could not exist without an enemy to justify it's actions-it being a religion of Conquest-pillage & booty. Rome will ever lament the Great Schism.

  • @slideharp1 Oh please, yes Islam is big of fueds, matyrdom and spreading the faith by the sword but don't tell me that Christianity is any different. The world would be better off without all three semetic religions.

  • @anvilofcrom MARTYRDOM???!!!, There is nosuch thing as a muslim Martyr. The Martyrs were Christians who proved their faith, when they were challenged to Recant it, by saying NO. They - following the fate of Jesus Christ - were made to SUFFER unspeakable Tortures designed to Make them recant their faith in Christ. This has nothing to do with mohammed and his followers whose Empire was spread by Imposiition. No-one is afraid to die A muslim blowing himself up in one mighty flash is Not martyrdom.

  • @slideharp1 Like I said. All three religions of the book are toilet paper.

  • @anvilofcrom But you Didn't say that. And no-one Cares what you think anyway - your Entire Life is dogshit, so you Need a lot of toilet paper.

  • @slideharp1 Here we go! arguing on the internet is retarded. You wouldn't be religious by any chance, would you?

  • @anvilofcrom Yes, arguing on the Internet is retarded. Why, then, would you send me a post right out of nowhere, trying to start an argument with me?. Don't you know how Stupid that is??. Now stop trying to Prove how retarded you are and stop sending me moronic, argumentative posts. Also, WTF are you even Doing on this channel?.

  • @slideharp1 But I'm not arguing with you. Just trying to see where you're coming from and why you'd cast such nasty epithets my way...

  • @anvilofcrom Do Not throw Red Herrings at me - you Are trying to start an argument with me. "just trying to see where I'm coming from?" no, you're not. Why would it be of any interest to you?. If you want to see where I'm coming from, go visit my channel - It's crystal-clear and will tell you everything you need to know about WICF. Then you won't feel the desire to send me any more of these messages. Off with you, now....

  • @slideharp1 You have a problem with my opinion about the three main semetic religions so you insulted me. I just wanted to know if you' are a Christian since you're obviously not a Muslim which would explain the hostility so I asked you which resulted in more hostility. I'll just assume you're a Christian and move on...I can't be bothered checking out your page.

  • @anvilofcrom I don't have a problem with Any of your idiotic opinions about Anything as they don't touch my life - even tho' you Want them to for some reason. Assume Whatever You Want. I'm not interested. All that matters is that you Move On. Seeya.

  • @anvilofcrom ...And don't forget to find a Bible to wipe your ass with.

  • @slideharp1 Hey, I keep one right next to the toilet bowl along with a Quaran and all 5 books of the Torah...that's all they're good for.

  • @anvilofcrom Then you're a deeply-disturbed sad-sack. Most sane people use toilet paper.

  • @escudero83 Uhhhh...Constantinople fell in 1453...Byzantium doesn't exist anymore, what planet are you living on?

  • Luckily this Beautiful Building wasn't destroyed, even the enemies were in awe of this Artistic Masterpiece.

  • They destroyed almost all the mosaics and the icons, indeed.

  • typic turgays only blahh blahhh blahhh hahahahaha ama ikseres ti sou perimeni akoma....you can talk but when the time come...YOU WILL FIGHT BITCH???

  • the Turks should pay this they are scam we the Greeks had the greatest empire ever. here the western civilization begun. we were preoccupied with weak christianity as the turds moved in and took our lands / glory to Armenia slay the turk

  • So what happend in the Balkan war?

What also did the Greeks by themselves acheive in 1925? Why did you cry for western help and intervention? Serbia has had practice and knows how to fight so called Janns and Mudjaheidins all to easy.Armenians Serbs Romanians Bulgarians Poles Ukraine White Russia and the Russians all have not taken their eyes of Constantinople and their passion and faith for it is worth more than 40 trillion Jannisaries.Barbarians like Turks will not be around to long. Tik Toc

  • ORTODOX !!!!!!!!!

  • i live in washington my dad is one of the head miltary generals in the USA and he says if Obama keeps pulling more troops from iraq we will be like Rome fight for control of arms i fear that the last great hope off freedom is soon to end.

  • Luttwark an analysists and advisor to the US military has already stated the US should look to hoe the Byzantines did buissness and turn away from Roman ideology. The article can be found on the foreign policy website.

  • the Greeks do not forget, the Greeks will be back...

οι Ελληνες δέν ξεχνούν,οι Έλληνες θα επιστρέψουν...

  • And the Serbs will be on their right flank.

  • And Armenians on the left flank :)

  • and all orthodox in the world

  • We will take back our holy land from the turks and we will take down all the elongated needle shaped minarets that look as if they are imprisoning our sacred sanctuaries.

  • Well said! Its such a tragedy to see Turkish detritus swarming over one of the great centres of the West.

  • @lova6lovo poli kala to les tha epistrepsume alimono tous ti tha jini

  • John Romer is a masterful wordsmith. What a great show! On another note, I wonder if Washington might suffer the same fate as Rome one day. Having to move the seat of power further out West

    to a new Constantinople?. :O

  • fuckin TURKS mother fuckers, they fucked up everything, stupid fuckers

  • Turkic Mongoloid scum!

  • ah byzantium, you have to weep for what once was, lost forever to dreams and ruins ...

  • still, disgrace has done. the city itself should be greek heritage aswell as anatolia. in 1918 the turks killed approximily 1 million greeks approximily in anatolia. there was even an greek invasion in 1922, where the greek army reached all the way to ankara. but they got chased out because of the lack of the allied (british) support which was promised. if constantinoupolis (istanbul) was greek nowadays, many byzantine art and treasure and buildings were preserved. its sad..

  • What was lost will be found again......

Too many have tha spirit it will happen...

  • You right, like gaastra.

  • thank you for a wonderful video portraying a masterful Cathedral which Belongs to Jesus Christ. IXTHIS.

  • among the magnificent palaces thetres race-courses,baths,and triumphal columns arose the new churches;the larger of these built in 532-537 was the agia sophia one of the most splenndid churches in the world

  • I think EVERYONE needs to know about the story of Byzantium. I have only heard of it now in university and in canada nobody knows about or understands this beautiful legacy.

The music in this doc is amazing!

  • I was obviously born in the wrong time period. I knew I was a misfit - Byzantium would have been my paradise on earth. Could Constantinople be the beginning of the 1,000 year kingdom of Revelation 20 that is given to the saints to reign with Jesus? Praise Jesus for the new heaven and earth!

  • If the Bible has any literary truth (and I personally don't believe any of that jewish fairy tale), Constantinople would surely be that 1000 year kingdom.

  • Εὐχαριστῶ πολύ!

    תודה רבה

  • This entire series is magnficent. I truly hope the rest can be posted..

  • Awesome doc...thanks for posting!!! Any plans to post the rest?

  • nope unfortunately i only have this part.

  • You can buy the entire 4 part series on ebay if you truely want it. Thats where I bought my set.

  • Wow!
