Look, Big business will always try to bribe governments to act in their favour, lobbying is an unavoidable evil. The government has to make concessions for these types of necessary evils.
Political Liberty is the single most society advancing force that we know, but humans are fallible - so are governments, and people must realise that pure libertarianism is unobtainable. Most politicians realise this.
I think this video needs to spread, explains beautifully the basics of liberty. We, all of us, can only be TRULY free when we have a society based on MUTUAL CONSENT & each person having right to life, liberty & property.

What if there is a large body of fresh water on the property that is controlled by a property owner. Could that person deny another's right to life and refuse to give them water?
Those people got that land because of their political influence. (you say it yourself, "were given")
And if there were water on that land, the owner is free to do with it what he want. (in respect to nature) If it's a river, you are not allowed to change the running of water. (cause then you infringe on someone else's rights)
I believe in a limited government, a government who assures the liberty of it's civilians and gives services a private sector can't. (and that aren't many)
I believe everyone has rights, also other organism than humans. Imo humans are not entitled to the full world, but that's another discussion.
