Deer Vehicle Accident has gone up as the result of hunting. DNR provides wildlife killers with deer for their killing pleasure. Here this is from the PA Game commission.

PA is a big wildlife killing state and DVA related death has DOUBLED in the past 15 years.
DVAs have not gone up becuase of hunting. DVAs happen at night when no hunters are in the woods. The reason DVAs have double in the past 15 years is because less people are huntig. We need to support hunting to get hunter numbers up to manage the deer herd. the DNRs goals are to maintain a healthy herd that can make it through the winter months.

You obviously dont know anything about deer. They are most active during the sunset and sunrise hours.This is when they are out feeding and up on their feet. When they are on their feet walking around and feeding they are more likely to cross a road and possibly get hit. Deer birth control will not work. There is no funding for it. Why used the expensive deer birth control, when bullets are a much cheaper alternative. Hunting is the best solution. Its fun and it provides the dnr money.

DOW eithanized her but then I heard from another source they shot her. Either way the deer suffered and died because of DOW late response for it got infected. They could have tranquilized her early and removed the arrow but that was too much for them I guess. Deer to DOW is "only" an object for "sports".

As deer are so tame today due to too many people feeding them in their yards, the deer probably walked up to the boy and the boy shot him with his suppose "toy bow". People should spend more time with their kids. A hunter with bow training would never take that shot.

I know of no wildlife agency that uses that. In my state, hunting is there to regulate game herd numbers. We utilize the meat (and its the law). Of course, now that we have canadian wolves, I guess I won't be able to hunt anymore because their are few elk and deer left in the areas the wolves now colonize. This kind of action brings a bad taste to my mouth and causes me to hesitate stating that I am hunting. Its the stupid actions from one person that gives every one else in that group a bad rap. If we were to ban anything it would be stupidity and lack of responsibility. Look, this was an accident. The video asks why the hunter didn't give chase; depending on the area he was hunting in and how much blood the deer was losing that might have been difficult. And as far as consuming meat goes, humans have done it since the beginning of humanity. It's in our nature and it's good for us, nutritionally anyway. It doesn't make us monsters it makes us creatures, like every other living thing that eats meat.

The major advantage of archery hunting versus firearms is safety for other PEOPLE in relatively heavily populated areas. Stray arrows won't travel miles to injure others, as bullets can. Remember people's safety is more important than what happens to any deer. Remember also, just because you don't like it, bowhunting is valued for its tradition and long heritage in this country.

Abolish bow hunting? I believe bow hunting by someone who practices regularly and is confident in their ability is more humane that gun hunting for the simple fact that the wound channel is large from impact through exit. A bullet enters small and expands and if it does exit the hole is just a little bigger. Blood loss is much quicker with a arrow than a bullet thus the deer dies quicker. Miss doe was not shot by a hunter she was shot by a dumb ass.

Deer Vehicle Accident has gone up as the result of hunting. DNR provides wildlife killers with deer for their killing pleasure. Here this is from the PA Game commission.
"We strive to maintain a deer herd that each year that can provide quality sport to more than a million hunters."
PA is a big wildlife killing state and DVA related death has DOUBLED in the past 15 years.

DVAs have not gone up becuase of hunting. DVAs happen at night when no hunters are in the woods. The reason DVAs have double in the past 15 years is because less people are huntig. We need to support hunting to get hunter numbers up to manage the deer herd. the DNRs goals are to maintain a healthy herd that can make it through the winter months.

You obviously dont know anything about deer. They are most active during the sunset and sunrise hours.This is when they are out feeding and up on their feet. When they are on their feet walking around and feeding they are more likely to cross a road and possibly get hit. Deer birth control will not work. There is no funding for it. Why used the expensive deer birth control, when bullets are a much cheaper alternative. Hunting is the best solution. Its fun and it provides the dnr money.

Bowhunting is actually one of the quickest and painless ways to die. Would you rather see them starve to death due to overpopulation? Have you ever seen a sick deer chased down and eaten alive by coyotes? I have, and trust me I would much rather be shot with an arrow through the lungs. That is the reason why she called up the wildlife Agencies or DOW to get their ass out to her house and tranquiler to try and remove the arrow and save her life. Have you watched the video and read about her desperation to help the deer? She needed evidence of deer horrific wound to make public aware of what bow'hunting' does to our forest creatures that is why she took the photos.

My observation on bowkillers video on youtube. 90% of the deer death is not "quick" and some I see die a horribel scream of death and thrashing in the leaves after being hit and the 'hunters' just video tapes it and do nothing! Actually I think I have seen one video of a deer hit and go down fast but still who knows if the deer did not feel the pain.

I would say that that deer was shot by some kid whose dad gave him a bow for christmas. As deer are so tame today due to too many people feeding them in their yards, the deer probably walked up to the boy and the boy shot him with his suppose "toy bow". People should spend more time with their kids. A hunter with bow training would never take that shot.

I know of no wildlife agency that uses that. In my state, hunting is there to regulate game herd numbers. We utilize the meat (and its the law). Of course, now that we have canadian wolves, I guess I won't be able to hunt anymore because their are few elk and deer left in the areas the wolves now colonize. Still think its more humaine to shoot with a gun or bow than a wolf slowly killing them. Maybe you should show a video of an elk who was crippled by a wolf and got away......
