My snare basket has broken during a gig.I emailed them and sent the pictures of the snare basket. They never replied and never taken care of my situation. It's impossible to reach the customer service.I have the warranty for the product but cannot replace the snare basket. It's a nice kit but the company doesn't care what customers say.Try something else instead of buying this kit..

all u ppl starting up that stupid war about "nu metal" vs "heavy metal" and crap like slipknot vs iron maden...ur idiots metal is metal is metal from classic metal like sabbath to nu metal like slipknot to hardcore like norma jean so go shut the fuck up i mean seriously and most nu metal bands name heavy metal bands as theyre main inspiration so all im saying is if the bands like each other and play together why the hell are the fans being so fucking stupid
Honestly, this set gets a lot of bad press about just being a beginner's kit, whilst if you get the whole set in one box, you will quickly find the Stock cymbals simply there as value and they rlly do not sound great, however, as soon as you get this thing micced and replace the tin cans with some Custom A Zildijians, for example, this is both a practical and nice sounding kit (:
Thank you for a good demo. I´m thinking of buying this kit and you made me want it more. And I don´t care if it was metal or punk. It was music and it was good playing and fun!
Right you lot - i hat e metal and i hate punk so it doesn't matter if it's genre specific - all I'm doing is demostrating the possible vesitilty of this kit. I understand that you all think i'm not a metal drummer but equally i' not a punk drummer either - I do loads of seesions and teaching anyway I don@t have to justifiy my playing to you bunch of c###s
ha i hate those guys that are absolutely sure that slipknot INVENTED metal. or that they REVOLUTIONIZED metal. they didn't really do much of anything... besides get joey jordison famous.
That's how metal singers (Iron Maiden, Manowar and Judas Priest) sound... Slipknot doesn't sound like that because is NU metal..: ANd shouldn't be called metal anyway...
ummm...not really. I think the main difference between them, is the sound of the snare and bass drum. They don't have the "thickness" of sound...that the regular drums have. I'd rather decide to by flat toms seperately, but not the whole drum set
I'd really like to get my first drumset, and start getting into drumming. Would this be a good start? Or would I be better off to fork out some extra dough, and get something a little nicer?
this is good for beginners and people that dont got alot of room
so yes this would be good but if you go on musiciansfriend dot com you'll see that they offer two models go for the one with the better cymbals its like 140 more but tis worth it
Hello all - in response to your comments about this groove. the idea is to demostrate that all styles be they generic or authentic are palyable on these drums, thats all. I'm not intending to define a drumming style per sa. Check out some Maiden and tell me thats not metal. Thanks for all the kind comment tho.
I just bought it man...very impressed. I highly suggest getting some dampening gels or Remo rings to make some of the excess ringing go away. Other than that, very good drum set.
sorry what sounds like punk,,,, are you of your nut, as a drummer for 15 years (guitarist for 3) i would never have played this beat in a punk band, true the definition of metal now seems to be double pedals and such, but what about in the early 80's when a lot of metal bands didn't use double pedals.
All of these people who are scrutinizing this video for "not being metal drumming" and stating that it needs double bass and blast beats should realize something: metal is a BROAD genre, it doesn't need those elements to qualify as being such and I've definitely heard those beats used in metal bands before.
