you do realize thats a common missconception,for example the ford explorer,with a 4.6l v8 offers better 0-60 time,better fuel economy then a land rover lr3 with its 4.4l v8
yes... but the Jaguar V8 isnt quite state of the art it self... And you cant deny the fact that american muscle engines in general are under engineered.... Tho ... sometimes simpler is better.
And on a big SUV/ offroader I'll gladly take the diesel engine anyday instead of the big petrol because it delivers similar if not more torque wich can handle the big weight.
not bad for a midsized suv with an engine displacment size smaller than a milk jug!!

I would gladly take this twin turbo diesel milk jug over any 7 liter american petrol guzzler that manages to produce a "whoping" ..... 300 bhp
