A country with mixed religions may need another solution. As i stated this solution is not perfect, but it can reduce a lot of tensions. The general principle is: 1.live with people (or in a country) who shares your believes. 2. respect each other's cultures and believes (especially when you visit that country). 3. do business if you want to. 4. stay out of each other's politics. 5. If you can not compromise with other cultures or religions, stay people who has the same culture and religion.
The problem with that is that we simply do not live in an insular world. Culture will travell across borders even if people do not. The introduction of a cultural artifact will afect the culture of those who receive it and change it. It is not easy to stay out of each others politics if then you have to deal with those displaced by persecution of their own regimes. Even economical migrants are, unknowingly, voting with their feet abandoning societies that do not provide for their basic needs.

If you visit a muslims countries for business or pleasure, you must make some adaptations or changes to respect muslim's culture and religion. Same goes for when a muslim, when you visit non-muslim countries, you need to make some adaptations or changes to respect the culture and religion of that countries. If anyone feels that he/she can not compromise for whatever reason. The solution is simple, stay in your country. Very logical.
Muslims should live in a countries where majority of population are muslims. Non-muslims should live in countries where majority are non-muslims. Living somewhere else based on economic opportunities just create potential frictions. In an ideal society, we can all respect each other's religious believes. Well, that is just not going to happen. I think you are correct. But you have to look at the true reasons for invading Iran. At that point we would control a vast majority of oil in the world.
That said, I don't think we should be going in there. Instead we should take a few hundred billion of the military budget and put it into research to find alternatives to oil and coal and to push adoption of solar, wind, wave, etc.
Well maybe not a few hundred billion, but a good amount to help out medical and technological research would definitely be welcomed. Hopefully Bush won't do something stupid like go into Iran though. 5 years is enough. I was against the war in Iraq, so I just say we set some bench marks, help the Iraqi government a little until they are decently stable, and get the hell out.
What I mean is that we shouldn't have gone into Iraq in the first place, but now that we have we can't just abandon them to an even worse chaos. Leaving them with a half finished government would be worse then helping them out. For them anyway. For us, kinda worse in terms of the economy.

The general principle is: 1.live with people (or in a country) who shares your believes. 2. respect each other's cultures and believes (especially when you visit that country). 3. do business if you want to. 4. stay out of each other's politics. 5. If you can not compromise with other cultures or religions, stay people who has the same culture and religion.

The problem with that is that we simply do not live in an insular world. Culture will travell across borders even if people do not. The introduction of a cultural artifact will afect the culture of those who receive it and change it. It is not easy to stay out of each others politics if then you have to deal with those displaced by persecution of their own regimes. Even economical migrants are, unknowingly, voting with their feet abandoning societies that do not provide for their basic needs.

When i go to my friend's house, i respect his rules. when my friend enter my house, he has to respect my rules. If you don't like someone else's house rules, simple solution is to just bloody stay home, don't visit that house. This is most likely not a perfect solution, but you have to agree that it will reduce a lot of tensions. This also apply to other religions as well, not just muslim and christians. I am just using these two as an example.

I think you are correct. But you have to look at the true reasons for invading Iran. At that point we would control a vast majority of oil in the world.
That said, I don't think we should be going in there. Instead we should take a few hundred billion of the military budget and put it into research to find alternatives to oil and coal and to push adoption of solar, wind, wave, etc.

Despite of all the deaths u hear in Iraq almost every day,I think it is right to say that their lives are much better before the US came to save them from Saddam and the terror within the country.

There are many Nations in need and we don't lift a finger or bat an eye. the Iraqis don't want us over there, many say the country was better under Saddam, less crime and 600,000 or more Countryman.

I love the part about starting the war to spread freedom... There is nothing that screams out freedom like a Boot on your neck... Yes its oil and Dollars and paying back people who got him elected is why we are attacking everyone we come across..

Interesting theory. Yet you leave out the most obvious reason, Israel. Iran like Iraq is in the same geographical region, both countries are enemies to Israel. Israel has decided that they are to be overthrown and that regime change is in order, the problem for the U.S. is that we have to do the Fighting.
