  • WFT is this shit, First your voice is pissing me off second you know shit, I can her to find out from a professional how to turn on your UPnP not to fucking listen, copy some music. you and your video are gay, enjoy the my dislike

  • dude you didnt even give an introduction you just skipped ahead

  • Shut up man you amazing

  • What the hell are you doing?

  • how do you do this on the new wmp

  • Just make sure the Default Gateway is 192.168.1.1 or similar to other routers that it will say "Upnp available"

  • My nat is working it is on nat 1, but my upnp says it's not availible, what is happening can someone tell me??

  • I connected to UPnP by doing nothing.. it just worked then after a few days it stopped working.

  • @againsturlaw sometimes you can connect without doing this, if it connects and disconnects randomly though, than try following these steps.

  • @ps3slimkid how do you do this with the newest windows media player??

  • gaaaaay!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice work mate

  • @demonshadowss Thanks!

  • Interesting..

    Are you sure?

I'm having an issue with my PS3 not detecting UPNP, but Media Sharing works..

    How's that?

UPNP is enabled in the router and in the Ps3.. Still not detecting it.

  • @Legacy9x your ports are most likely not forwarded properly so the PS3 can't detect UPnP even though it is enabled and working.

  • @ps3slimkid

Would you know what ports I would need to forward in order to have UPNP enabled?

  • @Legacy9x try forwarding these ports:

    10070 - 10080 TCP

    10070 - 10070 UDP

    6000 - 6999 UDP

this should make sure that you're NAT is type 1 or 2 and should get it to reconize that UPnP is enabled.

  • This is for Media Sharing, not UPNP.

  • @Legacy9x This is UPnP, UPnP is a medium for media sharing, as well as sharing files.

  • man da only problem i have is when my camera is on in a chat room my ps3 signs out by it self....? help me

  • @DAYDAYGOON45 that sounds like you don't have the rights ports forwarded on your router, search how to forward ports on google how to forward ports on your router type.

  • Okay can somebody please help me?

i have enabled upnp everything is ok there stays nat type 2....

but after 1 day i start my ps3 there stays nat type 3 again...

    Please help

  • @SoccerTVMiMo try checking your firewall settings, also, try accessing your routers settings and make sure you're forwarding all the ps3's ports or else put it in a DMZ

  • @ps3slimkid Do i need to forward ports? because i did that many times and there was no change, then i turned upnp on then it was 2, but as you see it turns back to 3 again it is really annoying lol, and i dont think my router has a DMZ? i'm using a Thomson TG787v router..

  • @SoccerTVMiMo it should help to have all the ps3's ports forwarded so make sure you haven't missed any, i'm not sure about the router, i've never used one before, i'm using a Belking wireless N router. Try checking your user manual for DMZ or check online.

  • wth does music have to do with enabling upnp..what will it acctivate with good music on??

  • So I can have any type of media in my computer and stream that to a ps3 at full HD?

Do I have to convert the media to some format or the upnp server in my computer would do that?

  • you can stream pretty much anything such as movies, music and pictures. as long as it's a format the PS3 supports, (which is a ton of formats) you shouldn't have any problem, but if you use a program like ps3 media server, that will convert for you.

  • my ps3 doesnt show up when i go to media sharing, i just have one box that says allow media sharing.

  • are you connected to the same network on both the computer and ps3? and is UPnP enabled on the network?

  • No no and... NO. UPnP is not streaming media. UPnP is Universal Plug n' Play which that means you can connect a device that needs a Port to be enabled and the Router haven't forward the Port. The UPnP does this, automaticaly allows the device to connect through the Port. (First the UPnP forwards the Port and then allows you). To stream media you don't need the UPnP enabled and it doesn't need to be signed in onto the PSN. Also your videos need to be on 1080p in order to play them on 1080p.

  • technically, you are right, but, you are also wrong at the same time, you can use UPnP to stream from your computer, and I didn't say you have to be signed in, just connected to the same network as your computer or whatever you're connecting to. And i didn't say you needed UPnP to stream Media, I just said it's useful for it.

  • I mean you if you don't have UPnP enabled doesn't matter! You can stream your media without or with the UPnP. Also yeah, you said you have to sign it to be on the same network. 0:44. Anyway, doesn't matter, someone will read the comments and understand whats the point.

  • what I meant by sign in is to connect to the wireless network

  • No need to Sign In if you want to Connect to the WiFi. The PS3 searches and tries to connect to your WiFi every 1 - 5 seconds! Try checking that yourself. Just head to the Network Settings and check the Status. After, turn off your Router and you'll see that is disconnected. Turn back on the Router and look as fast as you can to the PS3 Signal Strenght Screen. You'll see that it'll connect as fast it can!

  • that is if your setting are set to do that, I don't have mine set to connect automatically, so I have to connect manually, (by that I mean going to network settings or signing in.)

  • but thats all you UPnP does? it allows you to stream media? or does it do anything for your connection

  • pretty much, it doesn't affect your network at all.

  • ok cheers m8 :)

  • your welcome

    Happy Gaming!

  • is it important to have u upnp available on ya ps3 plz? and whats it do apart from let u play music?

  • well it depends on what you want, using UPnP you can transfer music, photos and videos to you ps3 from your computer for free, so it's great if you want to put that stuff on yuor ps3.
