  • what's the difference between the Peter Green PU'S and Burstbuckers?

  • Real good stuff dude, liking the out of phase tone. Switching between your lead and bass pickups between different licks could really add some versatility to the sound, kinda Gary Moore Style.

    Keep up the good work!

  • that sounds exactly like Peter Green, amazing, did you do the magnet trick or the wiring mod?

  • Awesome tone and playing..keep the vids coming...!

  • Yeah really sounds like Peter Green, oh man sweeet tone and playing.. love your vibratos.. I've also tried a LP with the Peter Green set up, and I loved it.. but then I'm a huge fan of Paul Kossoff's playing so I haven't done anything to my LP.. wish I could see the flame on this Les Paul of yours clearer :) great video!

  • Way to play that LP!!! Ure the man!!!

  • great pickin' as usual, dan. when you're tweaking the tone knobs early in the vid, the tone variation almost sounds as if you're flipping the tone selector switch. very cool!

  • Yes... I know what you mean!! Thank you squank!!

  • Killer playing as usual. Marshall's are not known for being so clean. Must be the JBL's. BTW, BB was Peter Green's biggest influence and you can hear it in almost all his playing. You've really done a great job of incorporating their vibe into your playing!

  • Thanks karmadave...for some reason I can play an amp with a lot of gain and make it sound clean...haha....I don't know why. But this amp had a lot of crunch going on...but not a lot of gain...if you know what I mean? The JBL make a diff. for sure.

  • Yes sir that 2204 and 02 were made for each other!!

  • would you care to elaborate on that professor?

  • The amp is tooo LOUD! LOL!! Great playing man, seems your more into teh Marshalls?? I prefer Fender, My old Fender is still broke.. thats why its all a bit quiet on my channel!

  • I like them both the same Mark...just different moods...the Deluxe is waiting for a new baffle as the original got smashed in a car wreck....luckily the amp is fine. Thanks bro!!!

  • The tone and playing is ON baby! Clear and crisp articulation, yet smooth and warm. Fantastic playing as always. Excellent video Dan! Take care, Trina

  • Beautiful tone man.

Question: how do you go about copping licks? That first one had BB King written all over it :P Do you slow songs down and get them note for note or what? I'm 10 months into playing and I wanted to know how you went about learning when you were fairly new to the guitar.

  • First of all...thank you. I don't really ever learn solos note for note....I try to get the correct lead in notes and maybe the framework....but then I just try to absorb the vibe...and then put my heart into it....and it usually comes out allright. I'm 48 now and I didn't have any of the cool recording and digital software available now. I used to just put on the record and play it over and over etc. BB King is a huge influence..that particular song is Peter Green's..called "if you be my baby".

  • that thing screams Greeny! nice job Dan

  • cool.
