  • Khan has a glass jaw(good frame with above avg.skills), and came close to losing, but now that he has hooked up with Alex Arzia (milkshake man) looks like he is drinking the magic and has a lot more endurance. The saga continues on that note!

  • hahaha dis guy loks like lester from soulmen lol

  • i would have been frustrated 2 if i had two grown men grabbing my arms all the time

  • Good analysis.

Khan needs to learn to not cover up like that or atleast move when he getting uppercutted

  • cortez helped maidana! never a proper warning for his dirty fighting punches back of the head.. he only deducted a point coz he hit cortez!

tell me how he helped khaan in the 10th round ??

  • lool you didn't kno maidana hit that hard. 31 fights, lost 2, out of the 29 he won 27 by knockout.

  • @dels323 nope I didn't know, now I know, only seen 2 of his fights before Amir Khan

  • Dead on Bro!

  • maidana had his elbows down after, and he was leavin his face open the entire time, temptin amir to hit em

  • I respect everything you say cause its your opinion...everybody is entitled to one...but I disagree with you when you said Khan has no defense...First off he fights with his hands high which puts him in position to pick off or block alot of punches...He goes into that two guard shell when necessary...He needs to learn how to clinch sometime...and have more head movement...but he did duck and dodge alot of Maidana's wild punches...He has defense but it needs improvement in some areas

  • I had Ortiz winning by the knockdowns. Lamont didn't recover from the knockdowns and start out boxing Ortiz until about round 6. Maybe it started at the end of 5 if u want (i don't remember). So from about 6-8 he was out boxing Ortiz. In about round 9, that slowed down for Lamont, and I scored it a draw. Ortiz had a big round 10. That's what I saw anyway.

  • hell yeah cortez gave khan the win ortiz got robbed

  • Khan won the fight but Maidana won the battle.

  • everybody watch 3:56 LOL

  • @shamzillah bradley is another paulie malignaggi with a little bit of more pop in his fists, rememab he hasnt KOed any1 in almost 4 years. bradley can only outbox him, but then again khan has never been outboxed just overpowered.

  • Man, i thought it was just me..I mean, my prediction was for Ahmir Khan to win a decision, but Joe Cortez WTF!! Freddy Roaches team mustv'e put the fear of God in Cortez before the fight. He DEFINATLEY protected Ahmir. .. i didnt agree with the point deduction either, he didint even make contact with Ahmir with the elbow. Shouldve gave him a warning. Props to Ahmir for proving that he in fact does have a chin, his superior conditioning paid off. Maidana is a beast as well. great fight!

  • I like both of those fighters, it was a fun fight to watch, hopefully the winner fights Bradley/Alexander. Even the losers bracket of that, Maidana vs. whoever would be cool. That bantam weight tourney on ShowTime was cool too, junior welters are doing the same thing, even if not official

  • tbh i didnt see cortez helping khan jus seperating them when they got tnagled like any ref does, plus it helped maidana gave him more room to swing for him.

  • @maju786

In the CRUCIAL round 10, there were 2 moments where Maidana could have crushed Khan and got a knockdown (not necessarily a knock out, but still) where Cortez broke them up for no reason. One moment came when Khan turned his back to Maidana which saw Maidana land a few punches on the break. I guess Cortez didn't want Khan being caught off guard.

The second was when Khan basically sank down to grab Maidana's waist. With 2 free hands, Maidana could have jacked Khan up than.

  • @JDezi4 khan had to get taken to hospital because he got hit on back of the head too many times, maidana kept on hittin him, so of course the ref would break them up and since when does maidana finish guys from the inside, most of his KOs have come from over right hand, only inside KO i can think of is cayo with a body shot

  • @maju786

No doubt Maidana is dirty, but if u turn around in a boxing match, and the guy hits u behind the head, that's ur fault.

  • @shamzillah but can bradley KO khan??? no, he can only outbox him.

  • @BIGGIEBOY26 Yeah I believe if Bayless was in there that night, Khan would have gotten dropped.

  • completely agree about the cortez thing, if it wasnt for cortez maidanna wouldve gotten khan out of there in that 10th round

  • Cortez stepped in every time Maidana had Khan wobbled late in that fight, I totally agree, you have biased Khan fans who are making and excuses and pretending like they didn't see it but COME ON! Cortez bailed Khan out A FEW TIMES

that is not to take anything away from Khan's win but lets not pretend like Cortez didn't step in a few times when it was totally unnecessary, even Maidana was looking at Cortez like "WTF???"

  • oh yeah and as for the Ortiz fight...Ortiz just don't have "IT", his defense is HORRIBLE and he lacks boxing skills, he has some power and he has some speed but it is nothing in between, he gets murders by any of the top 140 lbs fighters RIGHT NOW!

Peterson has some very good BOXING SKILLS but he is CLUMSY and lacks Power, but Peterson proved that he is not a easy fight and if you don't bring your best...he might beat you

  • u saw cortez helping khan out smh

  • @ Gameino

khan was holding the whole fight, and ran the championship rounds off. When he gets touched earlier by someone who can slip a punch and give one, he wont look so good even earlier in the fight. If maidana can throw over that jab, wow, these crafty mothers at 140 are gonna rip him on the chin for sure. At least we got some good matchups coming at 140, and most of the guys arent top rank, so thats a thumbs up. I have a big feeling khan will fight ortiz since he's so easy to hit.

  • Khan kept getting hit with those overhand rights man..but big ups for Khan for surviving and getting his boxing skills through this fight

  • Cortez dont like inside fighters.

  • That Maidana is one scary dood..the guy will just keep comin' and mix things up..keep gettin' up and keep comin' with those bombs..he's got SERIOUS potential..the man cuts the ring pretty well for being flatfooted..very useful for an infighter like Maidana..man kinda reminds me of Aaron Pryor..take a shot to give a SHOT..a serious shot..just needs some footwork and he'll dominate light welterweight..that footwork will help him with openings for those bombs and get into that inside game faster

  • If I was Khan, I would have kept trying to land that left hook to the body of maidana. I don't understand why Khan stopped aiming for that spot because that shot to the body seriously hurt maidana. Khan also shows that he is wide open for uppercuts. I give khan credit for showing heart because he was in big trouble in the 10th round.

  • 3:56 LMFAO

  • dont sweat it dude boxing is one of those sports their will always be differences between fans unless their is a big KO i saw some times cortez was getting in maidans way but he still had his chances and wasnt able to do it, both fighters were warriors fight of the year for sure i was buzzing thru the whole fight didnt even care about the UFC last night AMIR KING KHAN has got me interested in boxing again cant wait for his next fight. Takecare peace out.

  • dude watch the tape again maidana was out of breath alot, he fought like a warrior but he coudlnt finsh the job he had enough chances dont let the whole cortez thing get in the way of your thinking

  • @akahitman007 I'm watching it now, and it wasn't only in the 10 round homie, you need to watch the fight bro, again

  • @Gambeino no you missed something

  • @Gambeino watch the 11th round please , when i heard cortez was apparently helping amir out which i didn't realize throughout the fight, he broke them up becasue amir was clinching him in a headlock so then he broke them up amir clinched again, just the same technique to which waldamir uses to stop boxer, give amir credit maan, thats and excuse passed around which Midana dident even know about. but yh nice video :)

  • @Gambeino oh if thats the case then floyds a pussy too and doesnt deserve to be called p4p great cos he had cortez for the hatton fight and hatton isnt half of what maidana is in terms of power..

  • @Ronz93 huh? no sure what your talking about.

  • Maidana could not Ko amir not cortez holding him back amir is on tough dude and he and freddie need to watch the tapes really carefully.

  • @akahitman007 yo, I'm not in the arguing business, if you didn't see it, you didn't see it

  • @Gambeino u all about the arguing business, unless ur wrong that is!!!

  • @Gambeino I hope you do the prediction to tim bradley vs devon alexander

  • @akahitman007 amir has a glass jaw and he needs to learn how to move his head he stands up like a stick and he needs to learn how to block

  • @akahitman007 the problem wit Cortez is that he thinks that the fans come to see him , Cortez robbed Midana of knock out by getting in the way everytime Miadana was about to land the knock out punch was about to finish Khan , Cortez would get in the way. and he also should have gave Maidana a warning before he took away that point from him. Khan is still suspect as fighter but i had Khan winning by the skin of his teeth, I think Berto or Bradley would beat Khan ass

  • dude get out of here the ref was helping amir, khan took thoses shots clean, madaina had enough time in round 10 to finish khan but he couldnt, that knockdown in round 1 hurt madaina really hard and he was hurting all fight, he had no stamina left thats why he lost the fight and didnt KO amir, still amir won and he and roach need to watch the video really carefully.

  • @akahitman007 I don't know what fight you were watching, the fight I was watching the ref was helping.LOL

  • @Gambeino i new khan would win but he should of knocked him out with those body shots i agree he should of continued to the body but maidana is tough as hell most likely khan will fight the winner of bradley vs alexander and i think maidana should fight the loser of that fight or judah, ortiz or malignaggi.

  • marcos Maidiana won ref was hating in the 10th khan is image put him in the ring wit maywayther school time

  • nice black speedo cap there!

  • cortez was def helping him out but this isnt new he always favors the mover and goes agianst the brawler..khan hung in thier respect to both guys

  • I GUESS I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO SEEN THAT SHIT,, JOE CORTEZ WAS HELPIN KHAN OUT CUZ HE DIDN'T LIKE HOW MAIDANA TOLD HIS ASS TO GIVE HIM SUM SPACE HAHA!!!! I THINK JOE CORTEZ IS A HORRIBLE REF I NEVER LIKED HIM....THE ONLY GOOD REF IN BOXING IN MY EYES IS KENNY BAYLESS HE IS THE BEST AND I DON'T SEE ANY REF THAT COMPARES

  • THE LAMONT PETERSON FIGHT I AGREE WAS A DRAW BUT THAT ONE JUDGE DID HAVE THE FIGHT FUCKED UP HAVIN LAMONT UP BY 2 AFTER HE GOT KNOCKED DOWN,, THAT DIDN'T MAKE SENSE

  • Having watched your videos for a while, your view on boxing and boxers is very very similar to mine. You obviously like boxers that BOX, who don’t just head-hunt and who have an equally good defense as offence.

I don't know whether you have heard about someone called James DeGale who fights at super-mid? Beijing Olympic gold medalist? He looks the real deal, silky skills, fast, flashy, cocky. It looks as if he could be something really REALLY special.

Watch a few vids if you can!

  • Khans defense is fine it's maidana relentless attack and knowledge of cutting the ring off that's what was frustrating khan I personally feel khan is too talented to settle for roaches training he has the gifts and is very young y'all are completely disrespecting maidanas credibility.dude was looking like marvin hagler last night his hand speed ain't the best but he doesn't need it he has a chin great timing and knowledge off cuting the ring off that's how he was landing so much.

  • All four fights last night were great fights

Ortiz should have won by a few points

Khan looked sharp as ne1 I ever seen in the first 1/2 of the fight then afetr he got tagged, he edged it out for the last few rds. Both fighters were saved by the bell...Maidana in the first or second (cant remember which), and Khan got saved by the bell in the 10th

  • Cortez isnt a very good ref. check out may vs hatton. Cortez kept seperating them for no reason.

  • Roughtactics said the same thing he thought the ref helped Amir Khan out in the 10th

  • Yes, Khan could've thrown more body shots but that means he would be dropping his hands to leave his chin wide open which is always dangerous when you fight a big puncher like Maidana who may not be the fastest guy but has good timing. So it's not without risk when you go to the body. Khan is good. He is going to enjoy his reach and height advantage but it's going to be fun to watch him against the other lions because his defense is very leaky.

  • @blindthief his hand speed did it the first time, he can't make it obvious

  • @Gambeino Right, but Maidana also hurt Khan in the 10th I believe and turned his legs into jello momentarily. Had Maidana landed that shot in the earlier rounds he might've had more gas to finish Khan. Would've, could've...should've...can be applied to both guys. But that's what I love about Boxing.

  • What's up, Game. Enjoy your videos. Keep doing your thing.

  • agree 100% about cortez

  • howdy gambeino

  • I was disappointed with Khan in the last three rounds. I felt that he should have let his hands go, when he was retreating, I know he was hurt but, but damn, throw the jab, to keep madiana at bay.

Cortez was helping him. Personally if I was the ref I would ask Khan do want to fight, or do you want to taunt madiana.

  • khans got a long 2 go n alot of improvements 2 make! i dont think he's got what it takes 2 dominate the divison, he gets hit way 2 much, a fast boxer puncher would destroy this guy!

  • Good analysis man. Shit was exciting last night. Boxing is ending 2010 on a high note! Khan better watch the tape immediately. Dude made some obvious mistakes and def needs work like u said on his defense and inside fighting. But the huge potential is there to see. Let's see what kind of adjustments he makes in the future. Peace!

  • roach seemed concerned like he thought khan would be ko'd

  • @truBoxingfan well yh maidana is a big puncher,

  • @truBoxingfan I didn't know you made video's subbed

  • @Gambeino o 4 sho my dude yeah bout to start editing

  • @Gambeino same thing you said about the referee helping kahn same thing we were thinking in my house...spot on

  • I love how maidana handled himself after the announcement he just said he felt he won said he'll like a rematch and kept it moving on larry merchant white old racist hating ass in the middle of his slow ass interview

  • @vidz06 how could maidana feel he won the fight when khan won the first 9 rds, boxingscene just released their punch stats and clearly show khan pout powered maidana for the first 9 rds and lost the last three rounds.

  • And just to expose something I am anti freddie roach his team and the crazed hype behind him he had no answer for maidana uppercut or never had a specific strategy or advice once amir stopped looking good.WHY bcuz his training is indeed overrated he wasnt confident nor had the right gameplan cortez ruling and amirs running kept him from a ko loss

  • @vidz06

I agree lol. Even Jim Lampley mentioned that Roach NOT ONCE alerted Khan that he was being hit with consistent uppercuts, nor how to stop from being hit by them. But then again, if Roach knew how to stop uppercuts, Pacquiao wouldn't get hit with so many. Roach is an offense first trainer, as 99% of trainers are. This is what makes the defense that Floyd has so special. Cortez certainly helped Khan, but I don't think Maidana was in shape to go a hard 12 rounds. He should've got the KO.

  • ur froch pprediction was terrible bro!!!, khan vs maidana 1 of the gr8est fites ever, khan will beat bradley and may, said this since last year!

  • @McVeighBeats WHAT MAY AS IN MAYWEATHER I HOPE NOT YOUR CRAZY IF THAT'S SO...................

  • For the record amir khan does not have a weak chin its clear especially after the punishment he received.bcuz you get ko'd doesn't mean you have a weak chin this is boxing. And cortez style of ref last night did indeed save amir there we're even moments I seen amir look at cortez with a fearful look on his face as if he saying save me please.he boxed half and RAN NOT BOX BUT RAN the second half apart from the kd and the point taken I had maidana winning

  • @vidz06 HA! it's weak Marco couldn't finish the job because he started running and holding his arm. he was saved that fight. prescott is faster the marcos and thats how he finished khan when he had him hurt.

  • Gamb:

How do you think Amir's chin will hold up at the elite level once he's fighting guys with power along with ACCURACY, TIMING, and SPEED to go with it?

  • @LeadLeftLeon

That's exactly what I was thinking lol. They're actually talking about Khan fighting Floyd smdh. Floyd will torture that dude. Khan has fast hands but he makes alot of mistakes. His defense is terrible, his balance is poor when he's chasing someone, and he leaves his chin up when he throws combinations. I believe that he will be hurt if he fights Bradley because Bradley throws those same wide hooks that Maidana throws, plus he has that head which he will butt Khan with.

  • I was waiting on this!!

  • goota give credit to amir khan for the first 5 rounds. he didnt put a single foot wrong. but yeah he does need to improve alot on his defence. tbh i dont hink khan will put up with with likes of mayweather. hes juts not at that level.

  • i think Khan was on that a-side meth or cocaine he should of been knocked out but yet he beat his gloves threw his hand up like pacman does he's on the power pellets.

  • @toneykospeter Get out of here with that lame as shat you casual.

  • Khan vs Maidana was a great fight. Really enjoyed it. Questions were answered about Khan and I think that's great for his career development. Not too impressed with Roach's gameplan, as seemingly there was no tactics to create openings to the body. Having a fighter with Khan's physical attributes, you should be able to take advantage of slow fighters like Maidana through a good gameplan, though in Maidana's defense, he looked a bit faster than he usually is.

  • @southstaronline agreed although khan through his career notoriously veers off gameplan, every fan was screaming 'go to the body' after he floored him. i think amir would beat him everytime, but fuck a rematch, maidana would shorten his career with every fight - he's a beast
