Is it really that hard to found 10$ /h job? 70% of the people in US still have jobs is that not enough to keep others working even in underemployed jobs ? In Ottawa under table construction will pay 15$ if you have experience.

@Alexiscom1 There is most likely a glut of construction workers in that area. The mexicans drive down labor prices. Nobody is building. Banks are not doing much upkeep on foreclosures. Renters use skilled labor to fix up a place to rent it out again. Otherwise everyone has cut back on using skilled labor. A bunch of houses are underwater so they don't even bother with upgrading or maintenance on them knowing most likely they will go to foreclosure.
