@sky9s Thats fair, people have different eyes etc. The reflection doesen't bother me at all, and you can only hear the fan in the foot when your computer is turned off. I think the colors are epic on mine. :-) I agree that the 3D is more a gadget, it's different whether you get sick from using 3D in generel or not. It is an expensive monitor so you have to be satisfied with it. :-) I know that i CAN'T live without 120Hz I get insane to play without it!
@sky9s It is because it's the monitor that "makes" the 3D. Compared to Nvidia's 3D solution where it's the graphic cards that makes the 3D. Thats why it needs a fan... the heart of the monitor is in the foot. :) I can't hear mine because my PC is OC'ed alot, and the case fans run on 100% at all times. ;)
@HiTechGreek Thx for the comment, you must either use DVI or DP (Displayport) to get 120Hz. Since this monitor got a DP port and a HDMI port, you must use DP to get 120Hz.
Maybe my monitor is just throwing it off, but the colors of the LG look more natural. The jungle at 3:08 looks darker on the LG (which is probably more accurate) versus the bright saturated green of the Samsung. The doors at 3:56 also look like a more natural shade of brown. All the greys look slightly green on the Samsung. It's most noticeable in your Skyrim footage. On the other hand, those are excellent viewing angles for a TN panel. Are these factory default settings, or custom?
@Biozeminade Yea the colors on the Samsung in the video is a bit crazy. :-) It's before I calibrated the monitor it's more natural looking now. But in general I really love the Samsung monitor, sometimes it's almost like its 3D because the colors pop like crazy in some situation... ;-)
Can you get 120h using HDMI with this monitor, and why is the 950d monitors so much more expinsive? also does it have 2d-3d conversion? because i want to get one of the two monitors, but i like the look of the 750 much much more than the ugly look of the 950d. Also i've been reading about problems with the fan in the base not working and the base over heating and or getting very warm, is this true?
This is an underrated series only because there is a huge war between IPS and TN. Clearly IPS has better viewing angles, but the TN displays have just as good picture. Plus the gloss on this thing make colors come to life :)
by the way my question is: since i'm looking for a monitor (of that quality) to use my xbox and to also record video directly on my mac for reviews etc (with hauppage device) you think it's possible to do that without the composite? i mean there is a way to let you see what you play in another pc ? i didn't see many ports
second question : there is a only 2d version that is cheaper perhaps? cos i don't care about 3d really
@Halfnerds Thanks for the comment. I don't know if the hauppage device can be used with the monitor since I never have owned one. The monitor has 1 HDMI, 1 Displayport, power input and a input for sound. :) You can buy the Samsung S23A700D, which is a cheaper version it has 3D and 120HZ. But you can only get it in 23".
First off thanks for the reply. I'm trying to decide between this one and a acer. The only real thing I like about this one is the conversion 2d to 3d but it sounds like it's not worth it, is that accurate? Also is the display port as good as a DVI?
@dragonsangel7777 If you buy a monitor for the 3D buy a Nvidia capable monitor (Acer etc.) If you want the best 2D / 120Hz experience go for the Samsung. The 2D to 3D is a fun feature to have since you can get everything displayed in 3D. Don't know if DP is as good as DVI, people say that displayport is the new input that will take over.

@dragonsangel7777 Yes I tried hooking it up to my PS3. The 3D works right away when you use the 2D to 3D conversion. The 3D is decent I couldn't play with 3D enabled even though is a prettey nice future to have. :)
Nice vid and great looking monitor. Cna you tell me how many hdmi ports it has and if they support 3D. Also does the 3D really pop or just kinda. Is the 2D to 3D conversion really worth it, I mean how far does it pop?
@aldani0920 Thx for the comment. The monitor only has 1 HDMI port. When you turn on 3D you can see it pop, but Nvidias solution is still a bit better when it comes to games. The 2D to 3D conversion is a pretty nice future, but you see more ghosting and such when using this mode. I don't think the monitor is worth it IF you only care about the 3D. Then I would by a Nvidia ready monitor. But If you care about 2D, the Samsung is a beast and at this point I would not consider any other monitor.
@rubarusher I tried hooking it up to my PS3 and gaming on it was superb. Didn't notice any ghosting or input lag etc. So it's good for console gaming too. :)
@crazycamz13 I'm sorry if you already have reset the monitor, I don't know what else to do. I have never heard of your problem, I would definitely call the place you bought it from and get them to fix it or replace it.

@Daveze0920 It's very good for gaming! Best gaming monitor I have ever owned. I don't notice any inputlag etc. After I changed from the LG W2363D also a 120Hz monitor it's just a 23" inch monitor. I bought this monitor and I sent back it.
The screen is like a mirror (glossy) and this is very disturbing when the light is lit.
There is a very noisy fan in the foot of the monitor.
The foot is always hot and the fan is always on even in 2d.
The white is washed-out even after calibration.
The colors are not good even after calibration.
The 3D is a gadget, that flashes very strong and gives headaches.
I paid 43€ to UPS to back it to Pixmania.fr because my old Samsung px2370 is better.

@PaoXeR My computer has only 2 fans at very low speed (cpu and gpu ).
Gpu is underclock for less heat (with msi Afterburner).
My computer is completely silent even in game.
I can assure you that the fan in the foot of the monitor made more noise that my cpu fan or gpu fan!!!
But i agree with you only if you have a noisy computer you can't hear the fan in the monitor.
I bought 8 LCD monitor in my life and it is the first time i saw a fan in a monitor !!!
