  • the server air-intake is on the front, So is'nt the airflow wasted blowing on the side

  • Very nice!! ;-)

  • Oh never mind! I'm sorry. I didn't see where it said exhaust. Sorry, PowerbyCiscoIBM.

  • I hope that's not cold air, as it will cause condensation.

  • how about a new chimney cabinet?

  • Great idea that willmove some air around.

  • What was your temperature before and after this? I'm having a similar issue cooling my home rack.

  • @bthunderw My room temps were about 78f-80f and that was with the AC blowing. Not very good, as I only had 3 servers running (x346's). When the remaining servers were turned on, the temp shot up to about 86 degrees. Since then I have come up with a better method of cooling which allows me to turn on all my servers at cooler temps. Video of that should be coming soon.

  • Hard to sleep?

  • Fantastic setup, well organized and clean. Great Job!

  • What is the operating system you have running on them?

  • @esucceur I run mostly linux

  • Thats amazing

  • Wow!!! I love the way you have this setup. The cable management is immaculate and everything clean. What exactly do you have running on the servers?

  • @esucceur Thanks, I am currently using these servers for web app testing and a little hosting. I also did a couple more mods recently and should have the videos up soon.

  • @esucceur Yeah I agree, that cable management is pristine, must have take a while but DEFINITELY worth it, makes the case look nice and has better airflow.
