My parents were in the military and I am now. There are times that it comes in handy for major expenses but as far as quality it's horrible. I have had and have heard nothing but horror stories of botched Surgeries and MalPractice.

What if the issues you have had with the system were from lack of funding? Where better funding would lead to better care and better pay for doctors. As far as dealing with major expenses, that would have probably helped the people who have had to file from bankruptcy as a result of overwhelming medical bills. I think so many of the governments money issues are symptoms of a broken health care system.
