The music was composed by Petr Hapka, but I don't think that there exists any soundtrack. But the movie is available on DVD. Without English subtitles, unfortunately. (Pokud jsi Slovenka, tak ti to určitě vadit nebude, pochopitelně.)

A good reminder of why we abolished corporal punishment in schools in the UK. Was this in the 1970s? I expect the Czechs did too. It was wide open to abuse of every kind, creating that mentality that teachers were Gods to be obeyed whatever they demanded.

Vždycky, když sleduji tento skvělý film, napadne mě, že bych chtěl žít v laskavém světě toho příběhu. Navštívil jsem některá místa, kde se film natáčel - Dómské náměstí v Litoměřicích nebo bývalé nádražíčko v nedalekém Levíně. Z nádraží je chalupa, trať zrušena a koleje vytrhány. Zajímalo by mě, kde je vyloupená občanská záložna. Tu jsem nenašel.

I can translate it for you. Teacher punishes Tomas for his beeing late. Tomas comes up with an excuse that he has been late cuz he had to beat up a boy who insulted his girlfriend. teacher: do you know what im about to do? Tomas: Beat me up? Teacher: Do you know why? Tomas: Since you are taller and stronger.....
