  • What was the speed limit on that road? It looks like another "I must get in front of this cyclist, even when hes doing the speed limit, then sit at this red light" moment.

  • As you stated, that cycle lane is no way compulsory! No way would I ever choose to ride in the cycle lane at these speeds! Cycle lane is always full of crap and obviously where 95% of potholes are! Just commented to say "You oughta be on a fucking bus" = hilarious!

  • "..you gotta be in the F...g bus." Love your comment at the end!! HAHA

  • That's the road towards Frenchay isn't it? Where it's national speed limit from the top of the hill?

  • I'd have used the entire contents of my airzound in her lughole whilst she's sat at the lights, for simply using the horn on me down the hill!

  • @clonard Why? Point me in the direction of the sectionof the Highway Code that says I must use the cycle lane. The recommended advised maximum speed for a cycle lane/path is 18mph, as I mentioned in the clip I was doing 35 mph.

  • @clonard at nearly 40mph? The only "stupid cunt" here is you, for suggesting that. Just thinking that pins you down as a very inexperienced and stupid road user indeed.

  • @clonard No thanks, not when I can do 30 Mph on a road bike down a hill. The lanes are typically full of detritus, glass and used needles. At that kind of speed you need to be in the road. If you actually got on a bike and had a look at the UK highway code you'd know this.

  • @clonard It's the duty of the overtaking vehicle to ensure the move is completed safely. Frankly if she can't overtake a cyclist doing (presumably) under the speed limit for that stretch of road in a correct and safe manner (see HWC rule 163) by using the opposite lane then she should have either waited behind. IMHO anything over 30mph warrrants using primary. In this instance she just showed she is incapable of driving considerately or even being polite.

  • Well if you two ain't from Brizzol I'll eat my hat. :-)

  • you should of said,, i have more right to be using the road then you, my bike cost more then your car does ,, that would of shut her up lol

  • Playing devils advocate for a moment, it maybe that she learned to drive when there was no such thing as a cycle lane.

Maybe she just doesn't understand the rules (or or lack of) for cycle lanes, and thinks 'If there's a cycle lane, the cyclist MUST use it'

I noticed several overhanging branches/shrubs over that cycle lane too.

Another reason to not be using it.

  • Good attitude, I'd end up shouting "STUPID CUNT" or something alone those lines...

  • Again another demo from a cyclist who is just as selfish a most road users. Learn to ride with more consideration for all road users idiot

  • TBH I won't take that honk personally. A horn simply warn other road users about your presensce. So all she did was just saying "Look. I'm here!". Don't confront her until she decides to have a word with you. At the end of the day, you can't convince everyone cyclist can use the "car lane". It's a car culture.

But when she said I don't care. Then I'd say, " You don't care(about that narrow lane)? OK, I don't either."

  • What a stupid, ignorant old bat.

What makes her think she has the right to compromise your safety just so she can park her nissen hut at the lights 2 seconds sooner?

  • If you hadn't been selfishly taking up the whole road, she would have arrived at the red light with plenty of time to sit and read her copy of "Bella"

I hope you're proud of yourself!

  • @SheffieldTiger I am thinking that she could have sent at least two text messages, with time to spare!!! ; > )

  • She's unhappy with her life, depressed and frustrated, so she uses her car as a weapon against people she feels, wrongly, are breaking rules. The advice in the HC is not to use cycle lanes at speeds over 12mph. It's depressing there are stupid, ignorant and dangerous drivers like this woman but you'll probably not encounter her again, she has to get on with her miserable existence for the rest of her squalid life.

  • I never swear at old ladies

  • Christ, we wonder why some kids have bad attitudes; you only need look at the parents & grandparents I guess?

  • People might argue with you and remove their subscription, but I agree with you on this full on, you should have told her to look how far she got. your safety is the number 1 priority and you have every right to be in the primary position since you easily kept the speed limit. I subscribed!

  • @italnkicbxr Congratulations! Now you have joined all the other spineless, me-too plonkers. Using so much road has its responsibilities. Like keeping up with the traffic! Those who can't; use the cycle lane provided. Or berate older women drivers because they might have broken a nail on their brake lever. Get over yourselves! 40mph was our _average_ speed when we were teenagers draughting buses and lorries between cities. I had a coach driver tell me off for doing 55 mph along the bypass!

  • @Tricyklist Congratulations! You have made a complete fool of yourself... again. You obviously seem to want everyone to know how awesome, dangerous, and tough you are. You just seem more Napolean to me. If you want to travel in the bike lane at blinding speed risking hitting debris or the curb then by all means, but dont call people spineless just because they want to remain safe. You may not be a teenager anymore, but you sure do still act like one, on the road and online. Cheers.

  • @italnkicbxr Have you considered an anger management course? In Denmark we ride behind the white line, when provided. Before you start off on some racist rant I'm British and spent most of my cycling life avoiding idiots because no bicycle lanes were provided in the UK. The twisted tirades produced by this biased video are an embarrassment to cyclists everywhere. All actions have consequences. Even riding in the middle of the road due to a lack of skill. Danes trash the British at road skills.

  • @Tricyklist PM sent

  • What a stupid old C**T! They should bring out yearly driving tests then we will see how smug car drivers are...

  • Well, you just completely lost my sympathy as a fellow cyclist. You were using a hell of a lot of road and she overtook when there was no oncoming traffic. Where do you usually fit your "Extra Wide Load" notice on your bike? Where are your flashing orange lights and police escort? I would have been _behind_ that white line on the _left_ on my trike. If there's room for a Higgins trike there's room for a bike! I'm now removing my subscription.

  • Comment removed

  • @Tricyklist There might be sufficient room for your trike, but certainly not to do it safely. No need to hug the edge of the road, and it'd be stupid at that speed.

  • @Tricyklist don't forget to take your ball home with you too

  • @SheffieldTiger Well, if I take my ball home I still have two. But, what the hell are you going to play with?

  • What an obnoxious scumbag. Somebody is going to give her a smack if she carries on like that. How can she justify smug aggressive superiority while driving a clapped out Micra and clutching a pink pound shop steering wheel cover? Handled very polite BTW RV2.

  • At the lights her two passenger side wheels are in said cycle lane....

  • Just goes to show the education system was no better in the old days - probably worse.

"Granny" though ? - I reckon she's about my age - but unfortunately hasn't taken enough exercise ...

  • that`s a lovely fast ride on that hill, shame about the stupid woman

  • Middle of the road? Nope, middle of the lane, Dearie.

  • I'm glad they let the mental patients out once in a while but should they really be driving cars? ;)

  • Can't understand her attitude. PMS?

  • @mycommutetowork Granny have PMS?

  • what a charming miserable person lol

  • your in the middle road too, your point being driver?

  • there's a motorway you went over, go and use that mrs toad

  • So I am guessing that that line that she stopped on at :39, she would still expect a cyclist to get through on.

And then gives you the old two finger salute, what a nice lady!
