  • I like the video. Good job!

  • I remember when they said becuz i live in denmark. They said that near christmas there wouldn't come snow. But snow came and it was snowing for like 3 months! And also in january it was snowing in england!

  • winter will always be around. its already cooling down and were in aug.2010

  • 9/11, climate change, Obama.....when are people going to stop trusting the damn media??? Don't buy into every TRICK you see on TV. And don't turn your cheek to what you DON'T see on TV.

  • Great video!

  • Before getting 'homogenized', temperatures in Darwin were falling at 0.7 Celcius per century but after the homogenization, they were warming at 1.2 Celcius per century. And the adjustment that they made was OVER TWO DEGREES per century when those guys adjust, they dont mess around. And the adjustment is an odd shape, . . . climbing roughly to stop at 2.4C.

The GHCN adjusts the temperature data. Heres what they say in An Overview of the GHCN Database: (Google the answer)

  • this is a poor AGW video.

Is there better video somewhere proving AGW?

  • @FreeAgain2 It is explained in simplest words, like for a 5-year old.

  • Glaciers and snowpack on mountains are disappearing--FACT

This is a key source of drinking water for millions around the world--FACT

The spring warmup is coming sooner each year--FACT

Forest fires are burning hotter and more severely because of drier conditions out west, a trend that has been growing for about a decade--FACT

As governor Sarah Palin called climate change a real threat and called on her state to take action because it was most at risk--FACT (& flip flop).

  • this winter has been one of the worst in memory -- Fact.

  • No it hasn't, but in any case, global warming doesn't mean we won't still have winter.

You can't disprove any of the facts I listed, can you?

  • lol so global warming makes winter worse? oh wait that's right... we don't know what it is anymore, so we call it climate change. how silly of me.

  • Yes, global warming can make winter worse.

  • lol and fire and freeze water.

  • @JAROSLAVAGINA "Weather-monitoring stations in the Lower 48 have been logging record daily highs in temperature at twice the pace of record lows. Yet more evidence of climate warming."

Search Google for "Record chills are falling, but in number only"

  • watch the denialists profile- A WEAPON - whooa!

    :-D always the same potato-heads...

  • yes always the same potato heads capable of complete logical and scientific thought. unlike the climate zealots who think that by "praying harder" (reducing co2 emissions) the Climate will forgive them and the earth's global temperatures will fluctuate no more.

please... if you can't add any intelligent discussion to the debate, try to keep your mouth closed. the polar bears will appreciate the lack of additional hot air.

  • memory? what about history? These are why others think people like you are retarded.

  • 25 year history sir. please see the link above i provided. (and i'm the one whose "retarded")

  • @JAROSLAVAGINA In which country? :)

  • as to your comment of "number only" the author of said article wrote before this winter had gotten fully underway.

i.e. i live in central texas. we've had 4 snows this year. the yearly average is one half snows a year.

earlier this winter, temperatures dropped down to about 13 degrees. why don't you google that and see when the last time it happened.

again, fire doesn't freeze water. hotter global temperatures = warmer winters.

  • @JAROSLAVAGINA This winter is just weather variable, which sometimes happens. But climate change is not "sometimes".

  • you are correct actually. climate change is all of the time. further proof that "climate change" is not man made.

your going to have to do better than that if you want to keep this debate going.

  • @JAROSLAVAGINA Yea, Texas is the center of the world... Why do not mention Vancouver, with "Record warm temperatures and heavy rains". "Research gathered over a 50-year period showed that the snow season in winters in B.C. are getting shorter by between four and five weeks, with warmer temperatures overall". (January 29, 2010 CBC, "Climate change blamed for Olympic snow shortage")

Or that this January was "warmest January in the 32-year satellite-based data record".

    Etc.

  • so if we had a weather station in Vancouver and a weather station here in texas what would the statistical mean average show for global temps? no change?

Fair enough, texas isn't the center of the world. how about the north eastern portion of the united states? wasn't the capital shut down?

as you posted earlier this winter is "just a weather variable". does that hold true for canada as well?

  • Different sources of information about global climate shows that climate is changing and temperature is rising.

Yes, capital was shut down. Because of alot of snow. As it was predicted - this is one of the consequences of climate change.

  • actually, it was predicted that global temps (a.k.a. world wide) would be increasing constantly due to increasing co2 levels. and that the recent drop off in global temps over this decade do not match the climate models.

do you disagree with this statement?

  • There are short-time temperature fluctuations, what you can see through all existing record. But global temps are increasing, constantly going up.

Last decade is warmest on record and 2009 is warmest on record.
