Here is what I got from some forums. This episode was more than meets the eye and is filled with symbolism.

The monster was supposed to represent crime/evil. Always present, camouflaged, always changing, never permanently defeated.

Slade robot: A reminder that Slade is still out there and the need for the superheros.

Terra: to bring closure to the fans and Beast Boy. (If it was her) She now would finally have a stable, controllable life w/o fighting all the time.

@baggedyman (cont.) I believe in her final battle she said "I don't want to fight anymore." That would be one reason to not identify herself as Terra. Also, this would be the reason for the title of the episode, she has changed from an uncontrollable force, to a subtle school girl. The Terra BB once knew is "just a memory."

Also, mart of season 5 was about Beast Boy maturing. As you could see him taking the lead in Titans Together and Homecoming episodes.

I love teen titans, there's lots of rumours that there's a new movie, season, spin off show etc but I don't think it's true. Anyway I'd rather have a new season but with all the same actors and story writers and everything as to not ruin good ol tt. :') now they have rubbish shows on cn like chowder. It was the best show on cn with so much more thought and creativity put into it. Grrr warner bros, it's a cliff hanger to end on but I guess a very meanigful episode to end on too.

Huh? The cartoon is a free story, basically completly seperate form the comics. Meaning, ''Things Change'' is the last episode ever released. There is a comic continuation thats also unrelated to the TT comics, but it says nothing about it either. I have no idea where you heard that but i assure you it's wrong xD

Dunno who's telling you this stuff, but whoever it is seemes to have mixed up the cartoon and the comics. The original comics (that are completly seperate from the cartoon and sucks ass according to me) do have a character similar to Terra called ''Tara'' whom ''Terra'' is based on. ''Tara'' is evil, she dies, then a ''future her'' from an alternative timeline travels back in time. She dies, then a clone of HER comes back with no memories. She later dies as well. TERRA never dies nor is cloned.

i like Teen Titans, not because of the action, but the meaning for each and every episode. this may feel unfinished, but it taught me and hopefully all of you that no matter how much you love something.... you sometimes have to let it go.. saying good bye means saying "hi" to something different.... this was a such meaningful show and i absolutely love it

It is Terra but it's not the same Terra, if u read the old comics u will know that if Terra dies then another one is born, Terra means Earth, as long as the Earth is alive Terra can never go away, she can die but she's reincarnated later on,yea it is Terra BUT it's not the same Terra that we knew from earlier of the series.
