she's matured a heck of a lot. In the first sort of pretty baby days and even after, her interviews has her speaking so young, so shy and so ill at ease with attention. She seemed as reserved as a can of bake beans. But you see her now, so so confident and that just adds to her beauty.
Before reading "Down Came the Rain", little did I care on Shields' career or personality. However, having faced similar demons myself, hearing this candid openness from her hoping to both educate and enlighten people (even Tom "Know it all" Cruise) on an often misunderstood, dangerous condition only makes me think the world of her. Count me in as a Brooke Shields fan for life! Thanks Brooke for all you have done raising awareness on mental health crises! Remain an inspiration for everyone
@cajayson8301 Read the book as well and it was an incredible eye opener and it showed us how serious PPD is. She was very brave to discuss this with the world.
@WatchVenusSpa Shields emotionally captivates readers from page one (sometimes in ways even established writers are unable to do), save for SOME Scientologists ;)
What Tom Cruise didn't say is that he thinks psychiatric drugs 'only mask the problem' because we are all in fact haunted by the negative souls of ancient aliens murdered in volcano's.
@Ramissand She sure does -- from a protracted PHARMA lifestyle, which has resulted in amplification of already somewhat expressed masculine Hungarian features–DNA that in her case percolated to the fore, first noticeable from her mid-teens, with the onset of an utterly enormous crocodilian jawbone and protruding brow bone ... which, as fairy-man unwittingly referenced ... has resulted in her decidedly Neanderthal aka Sweet Transvestite .. err .. Rocky Horror aping; that aptly sums it up: NEXT
Battle with post-portem depression??? It's natural. You shouldn't be taking pills to battle depression after someone dies, for example. It's natural. You don't fuck with your brain and health so that you can get over something that is a natural feeling.
I can't believe that Tom would had said that. He doesn't understand a depression like that, you just have to get throug that to know it. So insensitive, and the worst part is that I like soooo much Tom. But I totally support Brooke.

It is only us who have experienced this horrible state who can speak about it and advise others. I hope no one will ever experience this again.

I'm very skeptical of drugs, but Brooke is speaking from knowing, Tom from wanting to know.

Brooke is much more intelligent and likable than Tom. She has class -- and he is an ass.
