@MrBatch73 Quick question, Jesus indeed did say, "It is finished," which means only by His Blood is the work of salvation finished, Jesus made salvation possible, He is the Lamb of God, and by His Blood only sins can be forgiven. This does not mean just by saying "I believe in Jesus" and thats all to go to heaven. Matt. 7:21 makes it clear this isnt enough. In the OT a lamb was sacrificed by a sinner and a priest and then sins were forgiven. Jesus is the Lamb that we have sins forgiven eternally

Can this show be anymore unfair toward the priest? The protestant gets 90% of the show to talk and pull out tons of quotes out of every period of time without providing the context. Then the priest gets about 5 minutes to patch up 2 of the 20 misunderstandings of the protestant.

Did Jesus not connect sanctification with entering the kingdom? I tend to think that all of humanity is in purgatory presently - and that eventually all of humanity will enter heaven - which will be created in this solar system. Obeying the church, attending church, taking the sacraments, paying tithe, buying indulgences, praying for dead relatives, etc - will not get anyone into heaven. No one changed what was in the Bible, it was there even in the Vulgate, however it was in Latin therefore only the priests could understand and not the people. How unfair was that? John Wycliffe then decided to translate the Bible for everyone to read it. The apocrypha was removed because it did not agree with the rest of the scriptures.

I'm Lutheran. I reject Rome's doctrine of justification completely. That said, the show is so skewed against Fr. Pacwa as to be a disgrace. Was Martin only able to argue against Pacwa by not allowing him to speak?
Just because the Protestant guy looks scary, we should not say the show is bias. If it's the case, there will be no show. Now don't listen to anyone's interputation of the bible, follow Christ,love him completely, don't follow theologies of Churches. Follow the life of Jesus. Pray only to him not to saints. Follow his good examples(not amazing miracles although it's possible with Faith as mention in the Bible). So love Christ alone and follow him instead of anyone, or any organization.

Follow Christ, do not follow a religion. Jesus Christ came to die for our sins not to set up a religion but rather to set up a RELATIONSHIP between you and him. Go to Christ, follow Christ, Love Christ, Worship ONLY Christ and learn about his life and the word of God.
That may be all well and good, but my point still stands that the Catholic priest was set against by the host. Now I don't even like the Catholic church (See my videos! and I'll prove it) but still the debate should have been set on neutral ground to make it fair.
I believe the Priest has to correct himself on two things... First, the mention of fire is correct, BUT the fire he may be referring to is the fire baptism which is mentioned in Matthew 3:11. This fire is the presence of God in the last days which matches with 1 Cor 3:13. (Our God is a consuming fire this is the purging, his presence.) Next, Jesus says nothing about being cleansed first before entering the kingdom for he mentioned in John that one must be born again to enter the kingdom of God.

There is a grave difference between ACCEPTING and EXCEPTING. To except is to exclude, to accept is to include; the details matter. If you are referring to the death of Protestants, it is doubtful that Protestants are actually fully Christian. Killing, nonetheless, is wrong; Protestants are not innocent of this crime either.

One thing you don't seem to get is the difference between EXCEPT and ACCEPT. Of course we as Catholics accept the Holy Spirit; we receive the Holy Spirit at Confirmation. Have you ever asked someone to pray for you? This is intercession. If you believe in the afterlife, then there should be no difference between asking a dead person or a living person to pray for you.

The Holy Spirit guides the Catholic Church alone. We hear God's voice in the defenses of His Church through Fr. Pacwa, SJ. Furthermore, the Holy Spirit does not dwell within Mr. Martin since he is neither confirmed, nor chrismated.
I would say Catholic Theology is heresy not Dr. Martin. Dr. Martin speak bibically while Pacwa brings added doctrines that contradict the Word of God. Jesus never taught Purgatory, Immaculate conception of Mary...all idolatrous & pagan beliefs.

Actually the Sacraments are of Christ, therefore we partake in the essence of Christ for our justification by doing things He commanded based on faith in Him. This is how faith and works are organically linked. "Truly, Truly, I say to you, unless you Eat the Flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you." John Ch. 6

Well then I guess you need to take Romans 2:4-8 out of your bible along with Matt 25. Read them. What you don't understand is that the grace Christ earned on the Cross 2000 years ago works in our lives so as Paul says "it is not I that live but he lives in me". First of all I've seen alot of protestants asked questions like this and miss the boat as well. Tell me, does everyone have to be a theologian to be saved. I don't know how the 24 answered and won't take your word for it but certainly Jesus sacrifice would be tied in with my answer. I don't see how you can leave works out of the equation reading Rom 2:4-6 and Matt 25 the sheep and the goats. The key however is our works as a Christian are God working in and through us (eph 3:20-21).

Nope, there is no secret knowledge in Catholicism. It's all open for all to see. Check out the Catechism. And we do not believe the Pope recieves ANY new revelation. He only interprets what God has already given.
When I was a kid catholics could not eat meat,only fish on Friday.Did the Pope change that? Why where you not allowed to eat meat on Friday in the first place?
The PRACTICE of eating meat is not doctrine. Rather it is a means of the magesterium caring for the souls of people, asking them to do some form of mortification or penance. You do agree I hope that fasting is a good thing. Doctrine does not change and practice does. There have been easements to this rule but we are not supposed to eat meat on friday in general. As to why? Not eating meat is a form of fasting, denying a good for spiritual reasons.

The cleansing is done then the sanctification begins. There are other passages as well. I don't know of any protestant denomination that doesn't believe sanctification to be a process.
To enter heaven one must first have all sin forgiven. But when we sin we develope tendancies toward sin and attachements to it. These attachements must be purged away. Also we have caused disorder in the world and some of this disorder by God's grace in an equal fashion must be repaired.
Is this just another setup for you so that I can present things that are truly in the Bible and you can assert your own opinions and undermine what is in scripture? Or do you truly want to know. I would think you guys would be happy that a Catholic reads the Bible. I would think if he pointed out something you had missed you would be happy. @MrBatch73 Quick question, Jesus indeed did say, "It is finished," which means only by His Blood is the work of salvation finished, Jesus made salvation possible, He is the Lamb of God, and by His Blood only sins can be forgiven. This does not mean just by saying "I believe in Jesus" and thats all to go to heaven. Matt. 7:21 makes it clear this isnt enough. In the OT a lamb was sacrificed by a sinner and a priest and then sins were forgiven. Jesus is the Lamb that we have sins forgiven eternally

Did Jesus not connect sanctification with entering the kingdom? I tend to think that all of humanity is in purgatory presently - and that eventually all of humanity will enter heaven - which will be created in this solar system. Obeying the church, attending church, taking the sacraments, paying tithe, buying indulgences, praying for dead relatives, etc - will not get anyone into heaven. The church should not be Salvation4Sale. This mess needs to be cleaned up - NOW.

@michael61778 The Roman Catholic Church again did not give us our Bibles. For before the Latin Vulgate was the Greek Septuagint and Hebrew scriptures. No one changed what was in the Bible, it was there even in the Vulgate, however it was in Latin therefore only the priests could understand and not the people. How unfair was that? John Wycliffe then decided to translate the Bible for everyone to read it. The apocrypha was removed because it did not agree with the rest of the scriptures.

It does not make sense to me that you can have faith in Jesus as our savior and then live life as you please. Dr Walter Martin's church started in 1517 and was founded by Martin Luther. The Catholic church was founded by Jesus Christ before he was crucified. The bible is clear that the Holy Spirit would be with his church. That clears it up for me. 2000 years or 500 years. Well, I disagree with you. Just because they call it something at a specific date does not mean that it is not the same church. The church was an infant until 313AD. It was in the process of growing.

Now don't listen to anyone's interputation of the bible, follow Christ,love him completely, don't follow theologies of Churches. Follow the life of Jesus. Pray only to him not to saints. I believe the Priest has to correct himself on two things... First, the mention of fire is correct, BUT the fire he may be referring to is the fire baptism which is mentioned in Matthew 3:11. This fire is the presence of God in the last days which matches with 1 Cor 3:13. (Our God is a consuming fire this is the purging, his presence.) Next, Jesus says nothing about being cleansed first before entering the kingdom for he mentioned in John that one must be born again to enter the kingdom of God.

God gave me, a cold-hearted sinner the gift of life. I knew not that I even was a sinner and damned to destruction because of my sins - So I can not claim that my faith is my own - rather it is the gift of God by grace.

Christians who are orthodox are part of the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church. Mr. Martin is part of none of these. A heretic is someone who publicly denies the teaching of the Church, that is exactly what Mr. Martin does. Furthermore, to "except the Holy Spirit" is a sin.

One of your problems is spelling. One ought to ACCEPT the Holy Spirit, EXCEPTING Him is sinful. (Also, PEDESTAL, not "pedistole.") Furthermore, there is only one Church, the Catholic Church; all others, though retaining some truth, do not maintain the fullness of faith.

There is a grave difference between ACCEPTING and EXCEPTING. To except is to exclude, to accept is to include; the details matter. If you are referring to the death of Protestants, it is doubtful that Protestants are actually fully Christian. Killing, nonetheless, is wrong; Protestants are not innocent of this crime either.

One thing you don't seem to get is the difference between EXCEPT and ACCEPT. Of course we as Catholics accept the Holy Spirit; we receive the Holy Spirit at Confirmation. Have you ever asked someone to pray for you? This is intercession. If you believe in the afterlife, then there should be no difference between asking a dead person or a living person to pray for you.

The Holy Spirit guides the Catholic Church alone. We hear God's voice in the defenses of His Church through Fr. Pacwa, SJ. Furthermore, the Holy Spirit does not dwell within Mr. Martin since he is neither confirmed, nor chrismated.

In christianity, a cult is a person or group that claims to be in harmony with christianity and then deny Christ. All cults deny Christ as the only way to God or deny his deity or both. Catholicism is a cult because it teaches that Mary is equal with Christ as co-redeemer,co-mediator etc, when the scripture says there is only one, and that is the Lord Jesus.

The opponent Jesus was refering to is your brother or neighbor, if there any dispute or difference between you and your brother, you both should get together and resolve the conflict before it ends up in court. He wasn't refering to the devil in that context in Matt 5:26.

Jesus used the same word for accuser as for devil. that word prison is also the same word they used for "dead".
Phil. 2:10 - every knee bends to Jesus, in heaven, on earth, and "under the earth" which is the realm of the righteous dead, or purgatory.
Baruch 3:4 - Baruch asks the Lord to hear the prayers of the dead of Israel. Prayers for the dead are unnecessary in heaven and unnecessary in hell. These dead are in purgatory.
The souls in purgatory r being purified by Christ merits.

Hell doesn't yet exist, hell is the lake of fire that is going to destroy the unrighteous ones in final judgement. There is no such thing as purgatory,when you die your spirit goes back to God, and the flesh goes back in the dust( eccl 12:7). There is no more atonement for your sins after you die.You people must wake up and see that you're caught under a great deception.

Well then I guess you need to take Romans 2:4-8 out of your bible along with Matt 25. Read them. What you don't understand is that the grace Christ earned on the Cross 2000 years ago works in our lives so as Paul says "it is not I that live but he lives in me". As eph 3:20-21 says all praise and glory be to him.

First of all I've seen alot of protestants asked questions like this and miss the boat as well. Tell me, does everyone have to be a theologian to be saved. I don't know how the 24 answered and won't take your word for it but certainly Jesus sacrifice would be tied in with my answer. I don't see how you can leave works out of the equation reading Rom 2:4-6 and Matt 25 the sheep and the goats. The key however is our works as a Christian are God working in and through us (eph 3:20-21).

The PRACTICE of eating meat is not doctrine. Rather it is a means of the magesterium caring for the souls of people, asking them to do some form of mortification or penance. You do agree I hope that fasting is a good thing. Doctrine does not change and practice does. There have been easements to this rule but we are not supposed to eat meat on friday in general. As to why? Not eating meat is a form of fasting, denying a good for spiritual reasons.

To enter heaven one must first have all sin forgiven. But when we sin we develope tendancies toward sin and attachements to it. These attachements must be purged away. Also we have caused disorder in the world and some of this disorder by God's grace in an equal fashion must be repaired.

Indeed we are saved once and for all and now born again baptized by the Holy SPirit and his workmanship. He Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our Faith . Hebrews 12. He lives in us he will complete what he started. How much we submit to him is how well he can work through us to spread the Gospel message and tender to believers and unbelievers in the Spirit .

What are you talking about? The theif? It is not I that has the problem with the bus crash because I don't believe in imputed righteousness. I believe in infused righteousness. That's why. Infused rightnessness says that we ARE made clean, i.e. rigtheous. That rigtheousness get's tarnished as we sin later. But at the moment of baptism we are made clean.
