@chevys10lord I thought about doing it that way but I would rather have it automated since we take alot of road trips in this truck and I didn't want to risk forgetting to turn it on at one point.
@TheBeerBox80 they way it is hooked up is when the key is off its off but when it is running it is on but you have the choice to turn it off when it is running so there is no risk forgetting
im trying to convert my 93 to electric fan as well but can you tell me which wire or color wire you tapped in too thats will start the fan when the ignition is on. thanks
your eletric fan conversion is a great idea but i have 1 question to ask you . the way you have it setup does your battery voltage drop when you trun it on ? also how many amps is your alternator to be able to run it?
@bgmike4130 I don't see a drop in amperage when I am driving, I usually don't notice when it comes on. As far as the alternator I am not sure, it is stock.
I have heard that when you take off the mechanical fan its possible for the water pump seals/bearings to wear out much quicker because they are designed to have the fan pulling on the shaft. Have you had any trouble with your water pump since installing the electric fan?? Thanks
Freaking awesome job man. I'm going to attempt this on my 1968 Camaro. Not good with electronics so I hope your video help me out. At least I have a good idea now how to do it.
I wish you were my neighbor lol. My brother did a sh*tty job on my dual fans and now my truck over heats...
