iv got it with two cars but the game isnt realistic in it you let the throttle drop and it doesnt so you cant get your speed down low enough to powerover for the next corner suggestions im using skyline and rx7newest one?

the game is realistic, its the closest game for the ps2/ps3 to real life. Hopefully GT5 isnt a disapointment the new demo is promising. So far GT4 is the only game that applies the Logitech dual froce pro realisticaly, that wheel changes the game completely. Bieng able to feel the physics not just seeing them.

You're highly skilled, but you're wasting your time. GT4 is a great game, but as far as driving feel goes, I hate to say it, but it plainely sucks. Drifting as well. Wanna drift, get Race Driver: GRID.

I'd have to seriosly disagree with that. While I am a big fan of Race Driver series alot of people have found the simulation part of the game very lacking. I think TOCA 3 was better. GT4's use of the Logitech DFP wheel is simply unmatched. I still havent found a game that responds realistic. If I cant take what I know works in real life and do it in a game than its not good enough. GT4 is the only one that comes close, even with its flaws.

It's realistic, yes, and the gameplay part of it I really like, and you can feel it's made by real professionals, but it could have a better driving feel, I you know what I mean. The most dramatic thing about it is the music! I hope they improve that on the 5.

for FF's there realy isn't a proper way to drift. E brake and severe understeer aids are all that will work and even then its still kind of awkward. Its a shame there isn't a Mcy D's tray option for the rear tires because that works excellent in real life.

hey, i like to drft with 4 WD car's on GT4 and i use the Mine's Skyline and tune it to 814 hp and orginal tires i say u all can dirst with it! try it! and have fun :)

i drift the 2000 ford svt mustaing, it was my first, i've got it set up with the super charger and tweaked all my stuff to where i feel comfortable the most. i do agree that muscle cars are a good start, but you need to also understand the point of drifting. and if it's a passion shoot for it.

If you use the steering wheel, does the wheel have to be Logitech G25? i got an older Logitech wheel from 2003. Can you drift good with an older wheel which doesnt go 900 degrees on the both sides? By the way, it has F1-style shift paddles.

I Drift With the Chevy Chevelle SS 452 '70

and all i do is 1:No Driving Aids, 2:Sports Soft Tires/Comfort Tires, 2:Faint, Initiate Drift(With Emergency Brakes),Counter steer(with the Accelerate Button all the way Down) and straiten. I guess all i need to practice is listening on you more and I Have to say the U turn at 2:26-2:32 and 4:05-4:10 is the hardest Corner is Trial Mountian

ok, i have a logitec driving wheel, and i can get good drifts with the 4WD niesan skylines (sometimes), but when i try with FR cars, i loose it. I go into the turn and start to drift, so i counter steer and turn the wheel the whole way, but my car wont straiten out...it just keeps pointing farther into the curve and i crash. Anybody have any suggestions? and what do you mean by lsd tires?

Before I can answer why that happens, tell me what car you are using and what as been done with it. You shouldn't have to countersteer the whole way if you have good throttle control. Having to much power for the tires you chose could be the problem. As for what I meant by just having a lsd and the right tires, it's all you need to drift an FR. Example 240sx with 1.5 lsd and comfort tires will drift fine.

im using a Camaro SS 60 something and all i edit the car is the following, i make sure i have no driving aids, and i make my tires racing soft but i didnt know you could use comfort tires.and i think when your turning are you using Normle Brakes or emergency brakes? it works with emergency with me fine

I think too much power is my problem. I was using a S13 with economy tires and something like 400hp. but i also tried the camaro with no engine upgrades and economy tires and it didn't work too well...but as you say that is a difficult car. thanks for responding so fast

Try the S13 with 300 hp and road tires. It will be harder to start a drift and if you get fustrated use the e-brake. But you will see you wont be going in circles any more. For economy tires on a s13 you wouldn't wan't more than 180 hp.

I'll say this once again these aren't near my best. I wanted a natural run, with mistakes so I can explain why it did what it did. These were made with 1 or two laps with a practicaly stock muscle car. I'd like to see you match that.

Lsd isn't the tires its the car's rear end. Tires are the simulation tires, economy, comfort and road tires and for high HP I use sport tires.

That realy depends on your style. Just about any FR can drift but they all have thier own characteristics in drift, which is why I recomend trying as many FR's as you can. The best car for me is a 240sx.

Its a little harder because the wheel offers two advantages over the controller. The motorized force feed back allow you to feel what the tires are doing and the wheel has smoother control. I can drift with both fluently but I can do better with the wheel.
