Trying to kill tank's commander shooting to you by top mg is just silly, if you kill this guy tank remaining as threat because can use main gun or coax to kill you. Shoting to tank with gun is silly too ;) for tanks you have vikhrs for ifv's and apc's are AP rounds for infantry and unarmored vehicles are HE rounds you can also use the unguided rockets if you are dangerous close and KGMU or bombs of you are suicider.

I have black shark (bought and paid for). You said something about surround? I don't get Black Shark surround on my system and I have a great sound system.

I play Arma 2 Operation arrowhead and get surround perfectly. Do you know whats up with that?n Great vid by the way... Black Shark f***** rocks.

You were attacking the tank with "High explosive cannon rounds" they are extremely ineffective against armoured targets. They'll only take out soft targets like trucks hummvee's and things alike.

What were the specs of your computer when you recorded this video? Gfx card, cpu, ram, dx9/dx10, etc. Looks pretty good in the vid. What resolution were you running at? Thanks btw, your vids have helped me decide to get this game.

gah! One more question: in the mission editor, how can I make it so that my helicopter is on the ground and off. It keeps making me have it hovering above the ground slightly. I want to try starting it up, and i think you are using mission editor, but i cant make it so that its on the ground!

Create a helicopter over an airfiled, then have your helicopter set to "Take off from ramp/parking" or "take off from runway", when you take off from the ramp, or parking area, your engines and power are off, when you take off from the runway the shark is fully flashed up and ready for take off.

You can have multiple AI helicopter taking off from the ramp with you if you want, just add them in as well. Yup, i am using the editor, that was a custom mission i created.

Man, my graphics don't look quite that good. I've got the default setting to HIGH for graphics, my graphics card is pretty good, but it still doesn't look this good. What am I doing wrong?

Use Windows 7 Ultamate, 32 or 64 but, preferably 64bit, have at least 4GB of DDR 2 or better, and the vid card should have at least 512mb of ram and be PCI-Express.

If you have a store bought system, with a pre-installed version of window vista or 7 or whatever, you should realy think about getting yourself the windows 7 dvd and formatting your pc, erasing all that BS store but software. You won't be dissapointed.

@KittyRokher Give us details like what is your CPU and whats your Videocard? What model and stuff, when people say My graphics card is good, it was probably good when you bought it, graphics cards are usually obselete within a year after its release.

Back when I posted that comment, I didn't know much about computers lol. Now, I know all about mine. I've got an Intel Dual Core processor (not sure which model) at 2.5GH, and my graphics card is an old nVidia nForce 9800 or something along those lines. I'm going out tomorrow and buying an ATI 5770 or possibly a 5850.

Just amazing game, did a few missions tonight.  Was quite funny trying to avoid a stinger but was too low to the ground and hit the power lines. I highly recommend this game to anyone with an interest in flight sims. But just be warned the complexity is amazing.

Yes the dynamic campaign is awsome... and crazy hard on realistic.

By the way, realistic settings is the only way to play this sim, with all enemy units with a skill level of "Excellent".

Actually, the campaign isn't dynamic as it is all scripted. But the outcome of each mission will affect the scripting of the campaign.

Tremendous game, amazing graphics. Hopefully the xpacks will bring in a real dynamic campaign. This game is the future of flight sims.

Well, you can in a way control the forces. When you create a "Custom Mission" You can have units attack whatever you want, go where you want and have them react or respond to certain things that develope in the sim.

Now keep in mind, to make a preemo custom mission, it takes alot of thought and beer.....

No, I think the only helicoptor you can fly is the KA-50 Black Shark; hence the name.

I wouldn't format for any old game, but Black Shark i wasn't sure about how it would run, so i decided to wipe the hard drive to rule out any old programs etc from interfearing with it.

Formating every month would be insane.

Can't say enough about the shark though..... fantastic.

It's worth buying for sure,

If you know how to format your pc, format it using windows vista ultamate, get your windows updates, install your sound and vid drivers, then install black shark.

I find it works the smoothest after a fresh format. Now some people get worried to format their pc, but it realy is a good thing to learn, as it kills all viruses and spyware and instals your OS fresh...

Sure, that's a great idea... if you only have 1 game to install and no other programs. When you have like 20 games and tons of other stuff, formatting your PC every month for the perceived speed boost is not a sensible option.

Im downloading this right now the game was on hold while the makers worked on an A-10 simulator for the pentagon. So i know it will be realistic. The makers of the real KA-50 gave the sim makers all the help they needed.

Ya your stick should work just fine, i'm using an old school "but still very good" Microsoft sidewinder 2, and it automaticlly detected it and is superb.

I'm not sure if your download will resume where it left off, i have high speed cable 15/mb/sec and the download was done in about 1.5 hours. I'm sure it will be fine, and at least pick up where it left off. I orderd the russian hard copy and it never showed up, but the english download works perfect

It's a study sim, the manual is a trillion and a half pages long but it is the best sim I've ever used. It has full TrackIR support (I highly recommend TrackIR 4 Pro, I can't fly without it) and you can assign any button or key to any function. Also it supports multiple joysticks.

As far as it being hard to fly, it's a realistic attack helicopter sim so I guess yes. There's a game mode which makes it simpler, but I've never tried it. To me, the fun is figuring out sim mode :D
