A lot of airports still only use one jetway for A340's, A330's, B777's etc. even if 2 jetways are available. As far as I know, only A380's and B747's always use 2 jetways if available.
I dont think I've seen a BA 777 in ages, but I sometimes get a bit mixed up with 767s and 777s, but I think that 777s have much much bigger engines and sometimes at Heathrow I see Asian airliners come in and I think most of them are 777s, now I've confused myself. Why dont you watch my video of a BA either 777 or 767 landing right over head at Heathrow.
I worked myselef on the ramp at LAX. Ground crew is 7 people, wich is never happens always is someone missing. How do they know? It is simple, usualy they have the same gate, if it's not then before the flight ask a dispatch they also have for crew offload list so we're now how many containers(LD3) on that plane, and how many cargo pallets(LD8)On 777-200 usualy 5 LD8 pallets, on 777-300 it can be 7 or 8 pallets as same as airbus 340-600.
Did you notice how many people meet this plane? It's like 20 of them on the ground. Same with Lufthansa. On the same afternoon I filmed it taxi in as well. Video around here somewhere.
its a 747 NOW!!!!

@Aviationnation10
Yes, airplanes from 767 up have the option of using two jetways, but sometimes, only one is used.
