hate to say it, cos I think Bailey has a great voice, but this performance does fall slightly flat on some notes. Alanis version is a better performance
I hate to say it also,but,please check Alanis's vocal again, in the first verse she is flat in the first verse and very flat in the first link. I would not have mentioned it as these things happen when you are given bad foldback and therefore cannot hear yourself. There is also the pressure of a live performance. I hope neither Alanis or Bailey have an audience of you at anytime.
I agree with you that it could be down to a foldback issue, I know it can be near impossible if you cant hear yourself on stage, ive performed live, and I know how nerves can get the better of you
I see bands and performers all the time and yeah I left a slight critique of her performance, but with respect I also included how I admire Tzuke and praised her voice. But in my opinion, she was not hitting the notes as well as Alanis
I too love Alanis's performance, I would never have pointed out the pitching on her performance had you not posted your first message. Please go to Bailey Tzuke "Uninvited" special podcast...maybe you can spot tuning problems there.
i came accross this video the other day on tv. apparently the studio version is some kind of remix/dance beat track. havent heard that and dont want to. this is hauntingly beautiful

yeah its with the Freemasons, one of whom was behind Phats and Small, so it has a similar funky style to it.
