Obviously someone like this shouldn't be allowed to run a freakin ferret shelter. She thinks she's a doctor too and does autopsies on peoples' dead ferrets. My vet can't stand her. Obviously we keep as far away from this creature as humanly possible.

Had to have a ferret of mine put to sleep, read the pamphlet on saying goodbye to a pet, everyone does it in their own way. This ladies way, I would agree, seems heartless. My way, if I loose a ferret in winter, I will carefully wrap and preserve it in the freezer. When warmer weather permits, go camping and build a funeral pyre, the cleansing fire honoring the memory of my friend that once inhabited that husk. Then Ill name another piece in the armory in honor of the fallen ferret friend.

I appreciate that she's running a ferret rescue organization. What displeases me is the idea that I would be handed back the ashes from someone else's ferret. I paid extra for a private cremation...I want MY ferret's ashes back.

I have a ton of animals and these small "sick" things matter ... shes not being insensitive ... shes being reasonable .... think about things before you write crap off as being one thing or another ... really ....

I truly love my pet, so I'm going to give it to some lady I hardly know after it dies so she can store the body in a freezer and then once the freezer is full of the corpses of my friends' dead pets she can have them all cremated together and I'll get fractions of the ashes. Some mine, some my friends' pets'. This is how very *truly* (There's no 'e') I love my pet.

the funny thing is, every time my bro and sis get a pet, i end up taking care of it, i mean, i like animals, but you'd think that someone should learn to take care of their own pet, they got the pets, and they only pay attention to them for LESS than 10 mins a day, if they're not gonna take care or pay attention to their own pets, they should give them to an owner who will..........

i wish i had a ferret.... man my sister had 3 pets, and my bro had 2, and my parents always say no when i ask for a pet, its either they dont want me 2 be a spoiled brat like my older bro and little sis, or they hate me for sumthin, but i'll just go with they dont want me 2 be a spoiled brat (P.S. ive never had a single pet) :(

i can understand the idea of mass-cremation for ferrets, but to divide up the ashes? i thought the whole point was that they dont care about the ashes. if they did, wouldnt they have it done individually? really i think this pbs documentary did more harm than good in regards to making all us ferret owners look like inbred psychos with no basic logic' oh hell, somebody get me some ferret ashes!

I appreciate that she's running a ferret rescue organization. What displeases me is the idea that I would be handed back the ashes from someone else's ferret. I paid extra for a private cremation...I want MY ferret's ashes back.
That aside, though, kudos to her for helping. Ferrets get a bad rap, so it's nice to see people out there taking care of them.
