  • We dont have the diesel model in the US so i cant comment on how good that is, the only model i like is the srt8 one and even that is cheaply, mismatched combination of plastics inside. The Grand Cherokee has the lowest consumer ratings and reliability rankings in the US. You will definetley need to rebuild or replace the transmission at 110,000 miles on the models in the US.

  • Jason my boy, you really are a little half whited. It's a Jeep, unlike an X5. It is built for off road, people who buy Jeeps really do go off road. It can't be as good on road as a solely designed on road X5. I own this model myself and find the interior more attractive in the Grand than say Pajero or Prado (off road cars of the same class that if you knew what you where talking about you would of done the comparison too) but that's just me. You should remove the Ferrari handbrake from your ass.

  • Bugger off Pinochio, this car is awesome. The 3.0crd is a mercedes with 510nm of torque and a merc gearbox to match. This guy shits me to know end.

  • @scruffynerfherder90 shits me to know end? WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE? GO TO FUCKING SCHOOL BEFORE POSTING COMMENTS!

  • jeeps fuckin awesome

  • When you review a car you should at least point out a reasonable amount of positives instead of all negatives...

    I love the Grand Cherokee!

  • Im British, and I love my Grand Cherokee too.. The 3.0 Mercedes Diesel is truly fantastic in a Jeep....

I Do think the dash board has bad plastics though, even compared with a 1997 ZJ Grand Cherokee!!

FOR THE RECORD, ITS ROAD HANDLING MAKES LIGHT WORK OF THE BRITISH COUNTRYSIDE WITH SPIRITED PROGRESS.

ALSO, it will corner better than ANY OTHER SUV I've driven that HAS a PROPER OFF ROAD DRIVE TRAIN SETUP!!!

So BMW and such like, don't comment - they're a oversized estate (station wagon).

  • that guy has no idea what he is talking about they are great cars

  • it's good but it's plastic ;p

  • Well maybe if this bastard wasn't sitting so close to the steering wheel, his knee wouldn't be "bashing" the dashboard!

  • I completely agree, Im 6'4" and I have no problems what so ever, and my 5.7l 05 GC compared to my lexus rx300, well . . . I love the jeep 10x as much.

  • This guy is so full of shit! I had a 1997, 1999 and now have a 2005 Jeep fully loaded and love it!

  • It's a midsize SUV not a sports "saloon", chap. Sitting that close to the dash in any auto is surely uncomfortable, and hence, available adjustable pedals (especially for the shorter critic here). The American Hemi with cyclinder shutdown (MDS) is another example of innovative US engineering. Coupled to European(x-Daimler)influenced styling = nice rig for $. Fifth Gear bias is rampant here and never conveys a clear and fair comparison to anything to justify the negative and bitter perspective.

  • this guy is retarded. i have a 07 grand cherokee limited with everything on this car he's reviewing. I just got a laugh when he was talking about the dash. if you notice, the transmission is in park, the speedometer is at zero, and he is pretending he's driving! this is the crap that pisses me off.

  • Americans = No clue on how to make cars... Light Years behind German and Japanese Engineering...

  • So were light years behind Germany and Japan. It's funny that you say that . The only reason they even have the chance to do anything is that we took care of all the bs taht they couldn't. Germans were so scared of hitler so they followed him but we cleaned up that mess. Japan thought they were tough by sneak attacking us but we took care of that with the atomic bombs. These people should be kissing our asses that they have a chance now.

  • In your face, motherfucker: Cadillac CTS-V, Corvette Z71, Dodge Viper, Dodge Challenger RT, Shelby Cobra, Chrysler 300, Ford GT... just to name a few.

I'd take any of those over any piece of shit Mercedes, BMW or Volkswagen.

And, by the way, this British fag doesn't know shit about cars.

  • Wow every new Jeep Grand Cherokee has been comfortable, great off road especially with Quadra Drive 2 nad driven great on the highway and regular roads with pot holes and other crap you find on a road. From the sound of this a competing company paid this guy to bad mouth a great vehicle.

  • Grand Cherokee and the Word Great should never be used in the same sentence...

  • Yea ok

  • THIS GUY IS FUCKING TERIBBLE! worst review!

    typical old brit man!

  • the only thing i dont like about the new Grand Cherokee is where the key goes into the dash, ive switched off the car with my knee a few times. other than that there ace

  • It is Offroad vehicle.

    If you want comfort,luxury car,by BMW X5.

  • Ya...who paid this guy...worst review ever.

  • who cares about off road?........dude thats wats so fun about them.....wake up.......do a proper test off and on road these 4wd rock.

  • Well you know you have to do what you can to bash the compitition Jeef GC is great off road, it races muscle cars and wins. compaired to range rover you could purchase 2 grand cherokees and have money left over for fuel and a snack for the same money and lets not forget there good fuel milage. so what do we do? Well we pull the front seat all the way forward and complain about the comfort.

  • Your completely right. Why would you pay so much for a range when you could have this. It does just as well or better of on and off the road. A new range hse Starts at $78,450. There are cheaper range rovers but those are not compared to grand cherokee. Unless you are rich or very well off why would you off road in a $80,000 suv????

  • This guy is a DUMBASS!! I have a 2005 5.7L HEMI Limited and I am not haveing any problem with the height of the seat or the knee brusing. Dumb fuck. I have never heard of a 40 thousand dollar vehicle not being able to adjust the seat. Come on dude!!

  • the TOp of the range is SRT-8 with 425 horses kicking in the engine.

  • this is the gayest episode i ever seen

  • I have an 06' Limited. It is a great vehicle. Who's paying this guy. Theres only one. Jeep.

  • whatever had been said on this video is rubish c i got jeep grand cherokee 07 ,gulf standards,3.7 v6 and it had never stock in deep thick sand ,i didn't even had to use the 4WD LOW i even drove it through deep water up to 75 or 80 cm and the egine kept on working while a toyota prado didn't dare to go through it , i heard alot of discourging things that spoiled the jeep reputation but didn't give an ear to them , i tried it's a true great off roader

  • i have a 1996 jeep grand cherokee and i go offroad and on road its a great car and strong car for everything u wanted it you find it

  • I know the guy is full of it. I have an '05 GC non 4x4 and I've put it through the ringer. Streams, mud, ice, etc. Never been uncomfortable, nor the family. My only regret is that I didn't wait for the Commander (lol)...life's still sweet in my GC.

  • Thanks JasnoGT that is exactly what they do they spread propaganda about American cars I have a 93 Jeep Cherokee country Iamit not the most luxuries ride but dam good for a 13 year old car so I know for a fact that the new GC must have a great ride

  • I wonder if this guy actually does much driving in real life? He's sitting so close to the steering wheel and can't even keep on one side of the road!

I've driven 40,000 miles in my Jeep G.C. (new version) including multiple trips of over 800 miles non stop in all sorts of weather and each time I get out I'm ready to get back in to do another drive - It's a great drive....especially on tarmac.

  • More British Biased propaganda. I could give the same complaints on a Rover.
