The Haredim and ultra-right wingers are a small and vocal minority, as are the folks in the video above. Israel has swung to the right, but after ten years of Intifada I can't say i blame them. If the Palestinians give the Israelis a real, credible, non-violent deal for a two state solution they will take it.

@sherhak Thats simply not true, I have lived in Israel and the vast majority of Israelis are pragmatic and secular. The Haredim and ultra-right wingers are a small and vocal minority, as are the folks in the video above. Israel has swung to the right, but after ten years of Intifada I can't say i blame them. If the Palestinians give the Israelis a real, credible, non-violent deal for a two state solution they will take it.

In 1993 the PLO vocally pushed for a two state solution recognizing israel. The israeli's didn't return those motions for peace till this year, when after years of pulling and tugging by everyone finally a prime minister of theirs said "yeaah.....maybe, BUTTT, they can't have control over their air space, their water ways, their electricity, nor can they have a military. Oh & Jerusalem is only ours" and a ton of other conditions.
What good is a "state" if it can't defend it's statehood?

The US assistance to israel is about 2.8billion a year.. It represents almost 1.6% of Israel's GNP. It is so insignificant that israel can live without this aid package. On the other hand Israel is forced to spend this money buying US weapons which is actually a subsidy to US arms manufacturers. The Israelis and Palestinians are 2 different nations, with 2 different mentalities, religions, languages, and 2 different aspiration! You must be really detached from reality if you think they both can live under one rule! Muslims wants to live under Muslim/Arab laws and way of life, and Israelis wants to live in a secular country which gives them freedom to live the way they want to... there's nothing wrong with that! They both need to live separately from each other in peace.

you people don't understand, there is noway you can just get rid of the palestinians, they have the right to live safely in their homeland, israelis believe that they have the can simply strip the arabs of their god given freedoms. Arabs and Jews lived together way before the occupation and they had no problems with each other. The 2 state solution sound good at first, i fear it is going to be very bad for the Palestinians. Unless Israel returns to it pre 1967 borders as define by international law. But they wont do it. Hell their are building new illegal settlement today. So the Palestinians will be offered bits and peaces here and it'll very hard to move from 1 region to an other
