You do realize that our system of time is made to fit the earth's rotation, not the other way around. ;)

Physical happenings of our planet around the sun dictate time. Time is an actual unit of measurement. The earths rotation both around the sun and its axis dictates time we are mere witnesses to it. We did not create this motion nor do we have the option to make time fit the rotation of the earth. Any other beings would come to our planet and our physical solar system would force them to follow the exact time we have come to follow. I appreciate your opinion however it is not correct.
