  • "And then she'll know the things I learned

    That really have no value"

In this version of the song the lyrics are actually:

"And mention all the things I'll lose

    That really have no value"

I have yet to hear a version with your lyrics, it may just be a common misinterpretation of the lyrics.

  • Most beautiful song ever written?

  • Four people disliked this?! What kind of killjoy, hard-arse motherfucker wouldn't enjoy frolicking in the water like this. Evil bastards.

  • anyone else find this even a little creepy?

  • Like if Frankie Boyle brought you here!

  • wish i was there :-)

  • Search 'truth contest' on Google , Click the 1st link . Its an open contest that anyone can submit to about the truth of life and death . The Present (universal truth) is the top entry , its mind blowing . Read it .

  • all that nostalgia to a timeperiod in expression that was just as underground as the scenes where the interesting music/movies/art of today come from.. in another fourty years we'll be reading comments like oh, i miss how great the songs and lyrics were back at the beginning of the new century.. anyways.. great tune from an epic movie..

  • 60’s!! COME BACK AGAIN FOR THE AGE OF AQUARIUS!!

  • A time period, what has real soul.

The 60s never come back, fellas...

  • This song made a very deep impression on me the first time I saw the film Easy Rider. This song will always live inside me. Peter

  • I share this guy view ..these days a 15years old kid barcks or pop and they call it music There was great moment for music then in the 60s

  • long live 60s....live free or die....

  • There's twice as many people on the planet now as there were back then. That alone means that there's a lot less freedom, a lot less cool places to run away to. Everybody is getting all packed in, the shitty caste system is everywhere, inescapable, with intense competition, policing and the GOD of peer group pressure. I feel sad for kids today...

  • This song has it all....great lyrics and harmony. They just don't make them like this anymore.

  • Peter Fonda was not actually present with the other three actors at the spring. It is only edited to make him appear to be there. Including someone else's legs dangling over the rock wall. He was in the hospital when this scene was shot and had to come back and film his scenes in the water on a different day. Weird fact, but true. What a beautiful song and great movie!

  • A top shelf movie. Has and always will be. R.I.P. Dennis.

  • Were they smokin' weed?

  • @Bigpolak57 They sure were. Peter and Dennis weren't sniffing coke. That was powered sugar., but the weed was real.

  • @anonyms404 Wild oats I think it is.

  • RIP Dennis and Luana.

  • I am going to pay tribute to Dennis by going on a roadtrip!

  • Peter Fonda was such a stud 1: 32

  • RIP Dennis Hopper

  • Peter Fonda is horibbly skinny!

  • swimming naked feels fabulous

  • RIP Mr. Dennis Hopper. I will never forget You.

    Regards from Germany

  • so long dennis. you will be missed

  • sony musiks löscht hier einfach alles raus .nie wieder werde ich ein produkt von sony kaufen .die nerven langsam .

  • Thanks for posting!

  • Thanks for posting!

  • Most of our music had a message. Today's doesn't seem to have that behind it.

  • Looks like 'Stagecoach" by Taos, N.M.

You can see that the river is pretty big in a couple shots.

It's an abandoned stagecoach stop and rumor has it a brothel..superb spot to soak.

  • @4Give1another thanks for that insight!

  • i once sucked off james taylor

  • @itsmemilky lucky

  • Thanks for uploading. In my opion this part of the movie is better and fits to the song more than the scene with the motorcycles.

  • another fabulous song from the past...5*.

  • I don't understand how people can like music made today, and how they don't realize how great songs and lyrics were in the '60s

  • I completely agree and Im 14 years old!

  • oh yes ur totaly right! i am askin me that every day..

    thats real music..

  • @Soundstage8 Amen to that.

Surprised me to learn that this song was written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin. Always thought the Byrds wrote it.

  • @Soundstage8

Amen Bro, is all trash today

  • @Soundstage8 -The kids are missing out on SO MUCH

  • @Soundstage8

Thats bullshit... There are loads of bands with great instrumentals and lyrics, all written today. You just gotta search a bit better than you had to back in the 60's.
