Im not a heavy gamer, and dont need the amazing graphics..But I ordered the Evga 9600GSO 1gb DDr2, and I havent seen any reviews telling me how good it is? Would anyone here be able too?
@DiDolRuChagi I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you got the 9600 GSO G94 version. It's the version that sucks basically. You should of gotton the 9600 GSO 768MB. They are different GPU. The 768MB version has double the processing shaders. the 768 MB version is slightly better by like 5 FPS. but you can find a review at guru3d(.)com just search 9600 GSO @ their website.
yes it will give big problems if u want to play games with this system better is a graficcard like a 9800GTX+/GTS250 but much better is a HD 4870 4890 or Geforce GTX 260 / GTX 275
Wtf are you talking about i got i have had my rig for a week now it is fucking awesome i can run games on high to highest i bet crysis will run about med high idk i will have to try it
Don't waste your money on really expensive processors and ram sticks, its not worth the money IMO. Don't get the 9600 GSO 512 MB, get the 9600 GS0 7268 MB, it has double the processor cores, it only costs a few bucks extra. But I found one that only costs $50 (with mail-in-rebate), if you want a link just send me a message saying that you want it.
lol why are you running your computer on a 720P TV? I got an asus monitor that's 1080P with a VGA, DVI, and HDMI port. It only costs $150.
@iamjoseph951 the offer that I was talking about is really old, and no its not that link that I was talking about. But that EVGA card is a good deal. But I wouldn't get that card now since its reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally old. Instead of getting a nvidia card get an ATI. They're cheap and a lot more reliable. The 9600 GSO that i had only lasted for a month, i did a driver update on it and for some reason it stopped working. But yea get an ati instead.
@iamjoseph951 I would recommend getting a 5670. it has dx11, multi-monitor support, plus and hdmi built in. The 9600 GSO doesn't have any of these. It costs between $75-$100. The 9600 GSO does beet the 5670 in SOME benchmarks, but overall, IMO the 5670 is better. Because it's more reliable, newer, and it supports DX11.
You could get a 4830, its faster than both of the cards that I talked before but it doesn't have dx11 and it's kind of hard to find. I found one in amazon for $90.
@ahmadclk anything slightly cheaper that wont really drop performance? cause i'm the type that need highest settings on warhead, btw do you know the fps for the 5670 everything maxed no aa and af?
@iamjoseph951 The highest setting on warhead? lol trust me you wont get that with a card thats less than $100. I have 5850 its a $300 g card and it can barely run warhead 1080p high setting, it only gets 30 fps. if you want a nvidia card (which I don't recommend) I would just stick with the 9600 GSO, because its the best deal for a nvidia card. Nvidia hasnt come out with a budget card like the 9600 GSO in a long time. But there are some rumors saying that their going 2 release some this summer.
omg!!!! nice!!! OK so i have an evga 9600gso 384mb gpu (this is the most original version) and a e5200.... i can only get an average of 15 fps and with fraps 8 fps.... how much of an overclock do you have on ur e7200 and graphics because the e7200 is just 3 fps faster than the e5200...
always play at max resolution you can. and adjust eye candy to that. instead of lowering resolution and raising eye candy. will look better. unless you are playing windowed
yeah there its a very good card im lookin at at a 4850 for xmas thoug h:P as i expect i might get one for under a £100 which is quite faster than this
I would like to tell you and all that I went and bought an XFX 9600GSO Triple X Edition! BOY THIS CARD IS FAST! I CAN PLAY CRYSIS AND CRYSIS WARHEAD ON THE HIGHEST SETTINGS AND GET 35+ FPS in crysis and 40/50+ FPS in Crysis WarHead! BEST CARD EVER! PLUS IT'S EVEN FASTER THAN A STOCK 9600GT!!
Wow so this is no joke! I plan on getting the XFX GeForce 9600 GSO Video Card - 768MB DDR2 from tiger direct and it looks like I'm gonna play Crysis Warhead nicely! Does Warhead come with the sandbox editor or do i have to own the original crysis for that?

too late already bought it and i enjoy it quite bit.
this was only something to get me started i plan on upgrading. but keep in mind i was upgrading from a laptop that had a
amd duel core 1.9ghz
3gb of crap ram
and a ati x1250 128mb
so yeah im loving this upgrade and it only cost me $495 after shipping.
metalgear31907 2 years ago
why are you saying too late when I baught it before you lol, and there is actually one that is still for $60.
