Whenever I need encouragement to keep working on my playing I come back and watch a bunch of your videos. Your combination of chops and feel is fantastic!!
Whats up Fran? Great playing dude, you make all of these grooves feel exactly how they should. You have been a great inspiration on my playing!!! Check out my vids when you get a second. Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated.
Wow...so let me get this straight, this is a Tower Power CD that you can play along on the drums with? If so, I'm definitely gonna get it. Excellent work dude.
Hey, this is incredible! You really have a great feel for the groove! I was just wondering, what kind of Mapex is that? It looks like a M birch or a Pro M, but I can't tell.
Oh, nevermind, I just watched another one of your (amazing) videos, and you said it was an M-Birch. I was going to get a Pro-M, but now I am considering the birch version. Would you mind telling me the big difference between maple and birch? (sorry for all the questions!)
Maple drums have higher pitch and more sustain. Birch drums sound a bit lower and have less sustain. Sorta like muffled Maple drums, but that doesn't really do them justice. Watch some of Matter311's stuff and you'll hear what maple sounds like.
you gotta tell me what cymbals those are, man. they sound great! i have a mapex m birch too, but i got it with the 6 for 5 deal, so i got an extra tom. a sweet deal it was.
Man you got it all: a graet pocket filled with killer grooves, musical but still amazing fills, and a good feeling undeniable feel. Love these tunes and your playing man. Keep 'em comin'.
Hey man! excellent job keeping the groove!! really nice playing and taste.. btw where did u get the tunes without the drums on it?? im looking for something similar to practice and have some fun.. thanks!
YEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! COOOOOL MAN ! i liked that ! PERFECT PLAYING! i like that style, no stuff, only good groves! everything u do is intresting... Drums sound unreal!!!

Hi, Fran.
First off, brilliant groove. You smashed that shit without breaking a sweat.
Second, do you recommend any exercises that can improve your right hand for playing those shuffle notes on the hi hat.

How do you think of your fills?, all of your opening fills are perfect. Awesome.
yourmum17 3 years ago
it sounds like some of his fills are sextuplet based (6 notes per beat)-- sextuplets are VERY fun to play around with.

This is from a Tommy Igoe play along package. There is one however by Dave Garibaldi that allows you to play along with TOP.

What sizes are those toms? It almost appears to be 8-10-13. Also, did you change anything other than the snare??
hazerlazer911 4 years ago
toms are 8 - 10 - 12. Not sure what you mean by "change anything other than the snare". Change from what??
funky2714 4 years ago
Changed from stock, I mean.
hazerlazer911 4 years ago
Gotcha!! Everything is stock except for the snare.
