  • R.I.P SAAB:(

  • What a great story I love it

  • See, you have to be careful about people claiming that they hit a certain number of miles. Many American car ownes make these outlandish claims but what they dont always tell you is that they have rebuilds. Honda and Toyota owners are talking about non rebuilds.

  • What happens to the odometer when you hit 1 mil?

  • @MP5A3SD goes back to 0 buddy

used to happen alot in the uk my father had many mercedez ice cream vans that done this

  • Wow they would spell saab wrong.

  • @pandacrunch haha omg sabb!!! lol !

  • @CrashJSTest And you are correct. True quality at its finest.

  • 0:07 they misspelled saab (sabb). lol

  • What a bunch of BS. Is this to to show that Saab owners are stingy? Real loyalty to Saab would have had him buying 10 -20 NEW Saabs during that time period thus helping the company. So what does the company do to reward him for buying ONE car? They give him a new one free. Makes no sense to me. They should do the opposite and reward their customers who buy a lot on new Saabs, like 25 or 30.

  • That Saab 900 SPG must me 22 years old in 2011. Must be a Sweedish car like Volvo.

  • Show me the Carfax.

  • never heard of sabb before.. are they any good? look like a SAAB to me.

  • I regularly drive my 1992 900 Ti16AERO Conv between London UK and Turin in Italy. 800miles x 2 at least 3 - 4 times a year. Turn engine on, drive, get to wheer i need. Park, go for coffee. If the weather is good, then even with the roof down. SOrted.

  • 1-million mile Sabb... fox fail

  • @CrashJSTest dodge ram and chevy silverado have a million miles

  • "Sabb" ahahaha, that's why no one knows about this brand and it's going to be bankrupt. No offence,I don't have anything with the Saab owners,I know it's a good car but the germans and japs have a very good marketing.

  • Try doing that with a 2010 car.

  • @MirageBistro there is the ford work vans hit 2mill all the time .. many vids of them

  • Older saabs were great think they started to wrong around mid 90s when the quality slipped a bit . Saying that though there are still a great many 20 year old examples on the roads and they look and sound pretty fresh, so they cant be all that bad. I think the New 95 is a stunning car and looks every inch the Individual style of the 70 and 80s classics. People bad mouth them because people associate GM with poor people and they cant get passed that when they bitch about saabs, its just snobbery.

  • I miss my 1992 white saab 900 2door hatchback :-( best car ever! Have a 2000 red saab 93se convertible not the same :-(

  • 0:07 They spelled saab wrong...

  • @oldschool96 Show how much the average American cares about Saab. It's a shame really. Saabs don't get the respect they deserve

  • @97I30T cuz the for van hit 2mill all the time

  • my 900 has 210,000 on it :)

  • Even GM Saabs are amazing, durable cars.

  • @idontgiveasheet

Yep, I've had mine for a while and never been to the shop

  • @blackt0wer They might have been owned by GM, but they were still made with quality and care in Sweden and Finland. My '95 SE (V6 Convertible) is running very strong still.

  • get a FORD dude

  • I own the same - you can't kill THAT engine !!!! - keep on saabing.

  • This guy must really, really take care of his car, my Saab has done 170k kilometres and doesn't look in as good condition as this haha.

  • SAAB sucks and im from sweden. Mercedes is the way to go!

  • @coolakiIlen007 It'll be sucking for a lot longer than any Mercedes will be doing anything whatsoever.

  • @C63AMGestate then watch some w123 videos.. 1 million miles here 4 million kms there. this is probably the only SAAB in the world close to that mileage and has been in very careful hands. lots of Mercedes on the other hand make it over 1mill kms regularly as old taxis or whatever, not all cared for very well still runs like new, i know cus ive got one, ran great after sitting 3 years on a field. just saying..

  • @coolakiIlen007 Fair enough, if I could afford a fast Merc I would have one, as you can probably tell I have a soft spot for AMG.

  • @C63AMGestate yeah i could tell. i dont care about speed though as much as reliability.. and thats something these old mercs give you hand full! :)

  • @coolakiIlen007 Saab is awesome and i'm from US. what's your point here?

  • @coolakiIlen007

Mercedes lost its quality + 8 Billion Euro during the relationship with Chrysler.

Even German Taxidrivers prefer Skoda + Audi now!!

  • @HesseJamez I understand them! compared to old mercs the new ones are low quality, but compared with other brands the newer mercs are still in a different league! we had a -00 mercedes w210 270cdi with 370 000kms and ran like new you couldnt feel the gearchanges. but if you speak with real taxi drivers who´s been driving w123s and such mercs they never have done less than 500 000 - 1 000 000kms and that with ease! they are then sold private and go many hundreds of thousands of kms more..

  • @HesseJamez now when Mercedes gotten rid of Chrysler they now will probably make their mercs better like in the old days..

  • @coolakiIlen007

    We hope so....

  • @coolakiIlen007

The world record is still in swedish hand - Look up Irv Gordon with his '66 Volvo 1800 !!!! Almost 3 million miles!

  • @HesseJamez cool, where does he live i could go see him! :P

  • @coolakiIlen007

He lives in NY - google for !!

  • @HesseJamez oh thought he lived in Sweden.. :P

  • @coolakiIlen007

No, but his car was born in Sweden.

  • @HesseJamez yeah i got that cus its a Volvo.. :P im from Sweden too.

  • LOL, it whould easily make it 9000000000000000000 miles SAAB<3

  • this is the "SAAB" .

    i love saab.

    god bless saab.

  • Fucking idiots at fox news spelled it "Sabb". Morons.

  • @iamnotben Haha FIRST thing I noticed. I might be going a bit overboard, but I hope the guy who did that got his hand caught in a press afterwards.

  • @XlPH0S Douchebag!!!!!

  • @XlPH0S @iamnotben Douchebag!!!!!

  • who are the 3 people that disliked this??? douchebags!!!

  • It's amazing to think about. Most people don't drive 1,000,000 miles in a lifetime.. or travel, for that matter. The life of a car is something spectacular, and most of them outlast us!

  • Saab c900 the classic design best car ever!! Notorious for fender rust but his looks clean!! And I think it's an SPG!! I have a 1991 900 and I love it, new transmission has been the only major thing done to it!! It has 265,000 miles on it now, but I bet I can keep it going to about 500,000, hopefully.

  • woo hoo now you have a new car again lol

  • my dad had a red saab just like that but some idiot crashed into it. Very safe car!!!!!

  • the swedes are crazy but boy can they make a damn good car

  • Lmao Fox spelled it "Sabb" on-screen. Idiots.

  • SAAB was, and still is the best car on the road today! What matters is the History, and that people still love the brand! But I do agree that GM screwed up bad! haha! But the new 2010 SAAB 9-5 is just AMAZING!!! And the newer 9-3 is also nice!

  • This car was built before GM got their filthy hands on Saab

Way to go to ruin another iconic car maker GM. We all Hate you

  • hahahahahahahahah FUCK GM.

  • Ah, the days when Saabs were still ugly, but went a million miles and kicked ass.

  • @matkovicha

900 is beautiful. It's design was good enough to remain 20 years without change.

Also first 9-3 was almost same with slightly different grill + headlamps.

  • "Sabb?" You have got to be kidding me

  • Notice how the news team misspelt Saab as '1-Million Mile Sabb'... When you manage to stuff up the spelling of a four letter word, thats when you know its time to head back to first grade.

  • saab made like 5-10 whit V8 on them, uniqs ^^

  • I'm always perplexed by Saab fans who get angry at GM. I drive an old 900 turbo, love it. I also have a Cadillac with 190k. The Saab probably has better longevity (we'll see, its a 91 with only 105k), but I doubt the company would have remained afloat on its own. GM didn't do anything to help Saab, but it likely would have perished on its own.

  • lol they spelled saab wrong

  • @Mew2mast3r You made my day LOL, I did not even noticed until I read your comment. To funny !!!

  • Gm ruined saab. Good news, though about gm in saab, wait there is none.

  • GM ruins everything, nothing like the old saab's. Too bad. Oh well, at least GM is done with saab. They sold it.

  • @huntingandfishing1

not just saab. pontiac, hummer, saturn, and gmc. it is sad too because they WERE good cars. but ill go with ford, because they didn't need a bailout.

  • Most cars would last atleast 500,000 if people knew what they were doing.

  • @openwidesky your comment is marked as spam? obviously, people have no idea about saabs. saabs are great QUALITY cars. Right next to bmw. That's something you can't find in an American car. They are all cheap and brake down so much easier then saabs or volvos.

  • @openwidesky I saw a spyker saab 9-5 yesterday with the new AU60 plate. (UK)

    It looked quite nice

  • Them are definitely not NY miles at least not in the winter.

  • now show me a GM car with a million miles on it original engine!! wait what??? it doesnt exist??? oh.....

  • @Kratos2591

any car manufacturer has at least one car that has 1 million plus miles on it... its nothing amazing

  • ever heard of sarcasm???

  • @Kratos2591 Wrong, a Chevy van went 1,000,000 miles too, Saabs suck sorry, some cars just luck driven, like this Saab or crappy Chevy vans. Saab is a crock of shit FWD, underpowered, for what they charge, and worst of all, now, they are just a turbo chevy anyway

  • @Kratos2591 actually, they have a 350 engine with over a million miles. theres a guy who had a 350 last him till about 1.6 million miles

  • @Kratos2591 yes they do actually,my uncle owns a 91 silverado with over 1 million miles on it. In basically perfect condition, and he still drives it

  • @Kratos2591 And you think a Japanese piece of shit can do that.... what a dumbass!!! It is a million miles douchebag loser!!!

  • @Kratos2591 thats for damn sure! i couldnt agree more! japanese is better than the shit we make in this country now a days anyway anyday!

  • @Kratos2591 my 95 blazer easily can reach 300,000

  • @domenicd123 im gonna drive my 95 Probe GT up to a million miles :) ill just keep replacing shit when it goes out, ill never sell it.

  • some Chevrolets have hit 1 million miles... stop hating on GM just because you're either narrow-minded or have had a bad experience with one car.

  • GM fucks up everything it touches, don't ever let them touch you in the crotch.

SAAB was a great car until GM got ahold of 'em.

  • i agree i agree 100%

  • @Z0hann I couldn't agree more....

  • @Z0hann

They were always ugly cars lol

  • @Z0hann SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU STUPID FUCKING GM/AMERICAN CAR HATING STUPID FUCKING SON OF A BITCH DUMBASS DOUCHEBAG... YEAH ....I AM SURE YOU LOOK COOL IN YOUR STUPID PIECE OF SHIT JAP CRAP BUT YOU DON'T.... YOU LOOK LIKE A STUPID FUCKING MORON JERKOFF SUPERFICIAL SCUZBAG!!!

  • @GayUOPXBoy10 To the left of the 'A' key is your 'caps lock.' Turn it off, you're making yourself look stupid.

  • @XlPH0S Dumbass!!!!!!

  • @GayUOPXBoy10 I drive a 1993 Oldsmobile you twat.

  • Go Sabb!!! (Sic!)

  • I had an 88 saab turbo with 205,000 miles on it then the trans went out on it. Weird looking little cars but the turbo was unbelievably fast for a 4 cylinder.

  • Gm has diluted a once wonderful, unique brand of automobiles. I hope Saab reclaims its glory (and its awesome look) that was lost after 1994.

    1984 Saab 900 Turbo!

  • god same fucking engine omfg that things got to be worn out maybey half of the original power

  • @GEARHEADGUY92 Gotta beleve it mate...Saab had perfected it's 16 valve 4 cylinder engine so well that they last forever. They had 175 horsepower when new.

  • what the fuck is a "Sabb".....god they are fucking stupid....

  • my grandfather did that on a ford and my dad on a geo

  • Swedish engineering at its best :)

  • Nope, pretty much Swedish.

  • owned by GM.

  • Thats right.

  • Yeah, tell me about it. SAAB has never been the same since, in other words GM fucked up BADLY!

  • Not in 89

  • you sure?

  • I find your ignorance amusing.

  • that is sweet im debating on getting one mabye a 2004 2.0t of sum kind

  • get the 9-5 and you wont regret it, (heard alot of people compain with the 9-3)

  • "Sabb"

    Fucking sad.

    L2spell FagNews

  • saab is not spelled sabb you morons of america...

  • rentally metarded just like ur mum

  • I have a '85 900 T with 258K mi. and I love it. Still runs like it should, NO PROBLEMS. SAAB RULES

  • wow!!!!!!!!! 1000000 miles!! nice car//

  • fox43's better

  • wow that car was well taken care of

  • LOL, yeah I tought WTF too ^^

  • 1 million mile sabb?

    Sputid TV editor.

  • sabb? it's SAAB

  • Comment removed

  • sabb?? stupid americans..

  • Yeh I know nothing beats old cars, Like the 90's toyota corona, 80's Cressida etc.

  • too bad that the new saab he buys will never be half the car that '89 is.

as long as they hide the bowtie

  • That is so true.

He replaced his gearbox 800 000 miles ago, I replaced my gearbox in my old 9-5 (-98) after 6300 miles.

  • Yeah i've had about 11 saab 900's now and thought i'd try my hand at a GM 900, I'd sold it within 2 months, dreadful car.. ford and vauxhall combo how low can you go....

  • In some places in US rust does not exist so cars can live longer.

In sweden we can't drive ours saab:s so far before rust eated the chassis away.

    Sorry for my bad english

  • i live in south texas and our cars dont rust out here, it rarely freezes so they never have to treat the roads for ice / snow

  • they spelt it sabb on the tv

  • hahahah.

  • Saab never dies, haha. Got a 900i -85 which I don't drive really. Starts anyway.

  • saab should have gave him a free car for hitting a million.

  • like a new Saab AERO X ooooooo that would be cool.

  • Sabb cant do that, BMW from same erra can straight six.

  • saabs are the shitt... i have a 03 saab 9-3.. luv it..

  • i am not surprised, saabs ARE the best cars so you would expect that.

  • He may have the original BASIC engine but you can bet it had at least ONE valve job and ring/bearing job too. A million miles is IMPOSSIBLE otherwise.

  • No its not impossible.. ;-)

  • well your kinda right,im a saab mechanic and have seen this engines firsthand...they need to adjust valves at around 120.000 miles,or 200.000km ,and thats about it!the pistons and sylinder is indestructable in normal use!even after a million! ;) The swedish enginges use a bit of fuel, but live forever!THATS NO BULL!

  • What the hell oil was this guy using? I want to know!

  • I have same car, same model, color, just year is 1987, but km mark I have is just around 350 thousand, so I can't believe that anybody could drive million and it's a miles.

  • In the US we drive far.

  • love the car. had one, loved it.

  • I know a 1978 toyota corolla coupe that has now reached 1.45 million kms!

  • saab KICKS ASS!!!!! a guy I know has a saab with 279k miles on it and runs like a DREAM

    GO SAAB!!!!!

  • highlander car

  • Saab > all

  • Yes Volvo holds the record..with a replacement engine! Oops!

  • You are a cunt. Shot yourself, you don't have any clue.

  • I was there, its in Lake george NY. Fox-23 is the local news station, and yes... she cant sound out words for sh!t

  • The thing with these high mileage cars is that you never really know what the owner allready replaced. He may insist that the engine has never been overhauled but how can prove that??

  • Well...it's pretty easy to tell if it has been replaced or not. Check the numbers w/ the records for the engine. Now, there were probably many little things replaced over time as with any other engine.

  • Saabs don't rust.

  • it depends on where you live....

we have a 92 saab 900 and we live in maine and its starting to rust in a few spots.

the snow kinda does a little bit of damage, but we love the car, and we wouldn't get anything other than a saab! we just got another red 94 saab convertible and we love it!

  • awesome dude. congratz. dats hotness imagine telling your kids.... yo i hit 1,000,000 miles on my car bitches... ive been around da block a few times lol

  • that pisses me off how the stupid news station cant even spell freakin SAAB right! what a bunch of lazy dumbasses!

  • I thought so too!

SABB what the hell is that!

    SAAB's are the best!

  • probably just tied it to a teather at night, went to bed and let it run circles around the yard until morning came
