@alevalli you dont need to testify!!!!! it dosent matter if you were there ! there is countless videos now showing what did happen that you werent there for and it shows unarmed people hands in the air being beaten! so the proof is in the pudding.but regardless i wish you all over there safety and resolution and hope everyone there is ok.they are BRAVE and i give them so much credit for standing their ground and not backing down to the bully pig punk losers that are beating them senseless
You obviously are missing the point here: I am not denying what may have happened later. I have my own opinion, based on the many videos I could see (I don't trust photos, they're often too ambiguous). But I don't think it is worth sharing it, because everyone, if really interested, can spend some time and make their own idea, like I did.
My point is that you should thank everyone that shares plain evidence, in a transparent way. Information, facts, evidence, data, detail allow everyone to think based on them. Every piece of information is partial and limited on YouTube, Twitter, etcetera: if it contains factual evidence, though, it helps viewers to make the big picture on their own. If it is self glorification and self referentialism, with no facts attached, it does little help.
Revolution my ass. Most of them take events like this as amusement, something they won't do in their everyday life. Now it's time to move back into your apartment and office buildings people.
@1poiuztrewq2 oh my god, how can you say that? Yes, people, lets all do as 1poiuztrewq2, lets all stay home, whatch tv, consume, lets all just be obidient workers
It is interesting to see, @peponmiron, how this new instruments had an important role in very important political processes during the last five years. Fighting in ideological terms, and insulting and offending people on the Internet does not help, @peponmiron. You see, obviously I don't think that beating with no reason is a professional behavior. I wrote that trying to summarize and contextualize the video in the few hours I spent there.
Alas, @peponmiron, it seems that the order of my replies to your insightful comment is displayed in the wrong order: you will have to check the timestamps to reorder it in the right way, if you care. I close my replies here by saying that I don't think I am a "dirty manipulator" and, as of today, no specialist diagnosed me any mental disease. Reacting like that, @peponmiron, in my humble opinion, does not help your cause. Alex.
@alevalli ok it dosent matter what happened BEFORE they startyed beating innocent people! WHAT MATTERS IS WHAT HAPPENED WHEN THEY STARTED TO! IF a murderer dosent kill anybody BEFORE they commit murder dosent mean that murder dosent count or matter/theyre still dirty punk loser pigs who think theyre cool with theyre big sticks and shield.i hope someone lightsd theyre asses up and they would deserve it
@incubusluvr ... whatever. Thank you for your thought. I will state it even more clearly. I am not giving or discussing opinions here. If Jesus Christ descended on the Plaza after 10.30am I was not there and I cannot testify.
As you can read from my tweets (searching on Twitter for "liquene" AND "#acampadabcn), I went there just to document what I could see directly. I guess I was awaken by a helicopter, could not sleep, and went to see with my own eyes.
Approximately from 7am to 10.30am (I guess) I kept walking around the placa, and could see all of it (the inside from a distance), then I left (I wrote that in the video description).
I wanted to report as much facts as possible, and as less opinions as possible. Most of the mess happened after 10.30am, I guess, because until that time there was a peaceful and civil confrontation inside and in all the corners of the placa, except for that where the garbage trucks where in a line ready to exit. The mossos started to push the people until the passage was thick enough to let the trucks out (and then in).
Trust me @peponmiron, except for a couple cops (one of them is the one in second line in the video, which looked too nervous), among the hundreds I could see, the behavior was very professional. I talk for what I could see. I am not giving a generic opinion about all what happened in the day. I don't care about that.
The idea behind YouTube, Twitter, etc. is that by watching and reading from many, uncontrolled sources, everyone can make her own opinion.
So you are right in suggesting people to see more videos, this is how YouTube works. I could see no one single protester covering her face (which is an outstanding example of civil behavior, compared to what happens in my country, Italy). I could see many people talking to the police, trying to explain that they were wrong, and asking them why they were armed. I recorded many videos, then watched them again, and put online the one that most summarized the confrontation. No cuts, no editing.
I watched with interest, @peponmiron, many other videos about that day, both taken during the time span I was there, and later. I can say that I think my video shows in a neutral perspective what happened in that time span. Alas, I was saddened by other videos that were posted after making cuts. I don't think that is a good habit in such delicate situations. I also think that everyone that cares about such protests (like I do) should be happy that so many people take pictures and shoot videos.

People just have to see any other video to realize this one want to manipulate their opinion.
So, if you think beating with no reason is a very professional behavior, or you have a serious mental problem or you are just a dirty manipulator.
