What a ridiculous test!! You could be pushing down on the bosh drill hard and not at all on the other, in fact it looks that way when you're drilling the second hole with the bosh from looking at your hand movement. Ha.. what a waste of time!
yeah right, either he has the hammer action turned off on the makita or its in reverse. I have had 2 of each of these drills. and there isn't much between them. In fact i prefered the Makita cos it felt better in the hand. If you want a really good cordless sds, go for the new panasonic. Blows both of these out of the water.

@bollowski ; Agree, the guy might be right handed, a newer sds bit in the Bosch etc.
I use Bosch and Makita along with others and find them all equally reliable and useful.
I rate Makita way above Bosch and buy Makita whenever possible.
We used to use panasonic in the early 90's on site and they were well respected, but so were the 9.6v Makita drills.
This is like comparing trainers, both do as good a job, the only difference is design.
