  • Sounds like a flip flop to me. Ron Paul has been saying for years that protectionism is a mistake. What exactly does he plan to do if not invoke protectionism? The horse is already out of the bar on the free trade agreements -they are already signed. Does he want to pull out? Does he plan to use tariffs or import quotas or what? I don't hear any consistency here

  • @KaraokeJerry The USA threw large tariffs on Canadian lumber. Now the USA pays a hell of alot more for said lumber. Try it with Canadian oil to the same extent.

  • Free Trade promotes peace as well as better global living conditions. Because of Global trade we made ourselves even more productive jobs. We should have no tariffs or subsidies. its funny that Liberals like to support corporations, and bash them at the same time.

  • Coercive trade barriers are criminal, and people that solicit/aid and abet/initiate them should be charged as such.

  • i think ron paul is sacrificing the good to the perfect, the WTO is okay in my book because they protect free trade from the federal government.

  • It is insane and wasteful to ship all our raw material to one end of the planet only to ship the finished product all over the globe again.

To save energy and resources all goods have to be made within 300 miles of sale.

    Think local act global.

  • @MrAppleseed88 Everyone can't restrict imports and expect to export mass amounts of goods. You are taking a lot of things for granted. Suppose the export industry ships metals to one part of the world, who also receives imports from 3 different countries (increasing their production/employment being able to buy US goods) and creates a superior product within his country. He now can export and compete globally for the finished product. If we buy that finished product, then thats our choice

  • @AroundSun The rich take for granted that we will protect them and willing sacrifice our lives so they stay so fat and rich. they can not have it all one way. they have to contribute to the very force that keeps them so rich. Or, they will die.

  • @MrAppleseed88 There is no image directed to the weak minded individual other than the rich/poor people chant. Its like a button that sets off the non-thinking so the non-thinking don't think about the number of millionaires in the Dem Party. Whenever someone starts talking about the "rich" people, it's like setting off a bell. Hey! A stupid person is going to talk now lets listen and laugh! If you think you are responsible for their success, or you pay more in taxes; you're in lala land.

  • Free trade = Migrant workers are unable to move freely and live in what used to be called company towns, where they are totally dependent and subject to abuses and deprivations. This is tyranny and a denial of human equality–and all of us are supporting it with our cheap I Pads and other electronic products. And yet we hear so much from our betters in the ruling class, along with their courtiers, that China is the model. Sure, if you don’t like freedom. Fair trade only Buy at Made in USA

  • @bestwayusa1 These people are lining up, leaving poverty, and the battlefields to go to work and possibly make their lives better and the lives of their children. I think they know their best interests a little better than you do.

  • @AroundSun Shame on you for supporting slave wages.

  • @bestwayusa1 That is the thing with you liberals. You would rather the poor be poorer granted the rich were less rich. You would rather see people starve and die than work and save. You want everyone to be equally poor, it's disgusting. My grandmother worked as a "wage slave" in a factory. She was able to save enough money and increase her job skills. We stand on their shoulders. We are outsourcing our old shitty jobs from the late 1800's. Making airplanes instead of t-shirts. OH NO

  • There are only two real candidates for president. Ron Paul, and everyone else. Beacause everyone else agrees on all the important issuses. Ron Paul believes in something different; something called the constitution.

  • Ron - say what you do want and believe, not what you disagree with

  • Free trade between nations is no different than free trade between people. Think about it, an American trades with an American and there is no problem, but suddenly, when an American wants to trade with someone in Japan or India or Germany, its a crisis that needs special strategy and "fairness" ect.

  • @hoodoo961

"Free trade between nations is no different than free trade between people. Think about it, an American trades with an American and there is no problem, but suddenly, when an American wants to trade with someone in Japan or India or Germany, its a crisis that needs special strategy and "fairness" ect"

Beautifully put, this is what people ought to understand, all those who are against the REAL free trade are basically promoting corporatism & communism

  • @lomocan Why do you have to lump corporatism and communism together. They're completely different.

  • @watermelonygoodness

"Why do you have to lump corporatism and communism together. They're completely different"

Because in order for corporatism to exist, government must be very big & have a lot of control on various aspects of the country that's why socialism/communism & all other big-governments inevitably lead to corporatism because all-powerful politicians trade their power for corporate-money & join hands; anarcho-communism also inevitably ends in state-communism then corporatism

  • @cpblackangel88 i haven't done my homework on tariffs but yeah a tariff on goods made with slave labor would be sexy, for AFTER the recession of course (methinks trade-war with China for the loooose right now).

  • globalism... forcing free men to compete with 3rd world slaves for wages (which drives wages toward slavery levels) is hardly in the spirit of freedom. "free trade" as practiced by your rulers is IMO slang for slave trade, and a misnomer at best. take care not to demonize the actual freedom to trade your own private property with somebody else tho. true Freedom means we are free to NOT trade with people that act like scum, such as those who export jobs or use illegals for slave labor. use it.

  • facts r factsif u dont work for the govt your wages have declined since the 70s Govt workers now make 60% more than priavte sector workers..our highways falll apart china builds skyskrapers and super hiways... meanwhile the unions have been scapegoated..when the unions are gone and the jobs still keep leaving ..what then? everyone making slave wages to comepte with malasiyia- people free trade is not destroying america iiT ALREADY HAS DESTROYD IT look around we are DONE and the govt gets paid.

  • @gregg008 Wages have increased. The rich have gotten richer, but the poor have gotten richer a lot faster than the rich have. Yes, facts are facts, and I suggest you look at them sometime.

  • he doesn't want a highway into canada and mexico... okay, fine. What the fuck is he going to use then, a dirt road with 1 lane?

  • It is not free and it's taking from our childrens mouths and giving our jobs to other nations

  • I stopped watching at "North American Union." Yeah of course you wanker!

  • I like Ross Perot plan for trade. You see we're the biggest customer from China,Mexico, and India. Now if we were to tell them you have to pay your workers our minimum wage, follow our environmental regulations, and our worker regulations. Or else we're to put a tariff on your goods that's 5% more than what the product would cost. They'd agree with us, because they'd lose all there business to other countries get it. We have the power in America to do this.

  • And we'll destro Mexico's economy in the process.

  • Well who's number 1 we're number 1. Plain and simple.

  • It's not "fair trade" to force Mexican firms to pay American wages.

  • Well it would be in our best interest.

  • @cpblackangel88 and destroy those countries economies in the process? nope

  • I like almost everything he said about free trade. Protectionist policies are obsolete. The only thing he didn't bash were tariffs and duties which should only be used to offset the governments costs of port security and importation paperwork.

  • People who take time to study economics know the saying ceteris paribus (all things equal.) FIrst...we are not losing jobs because of "cheap labor". It appears that way because of the exchange rates. If we traded on even exchage rates we wouldn't lose as many jobs because Americans are among the most productive and efficient. Free trade does work when you set ALL OTHER THINGS EQUAL....IE...The thing that measure's value....Free trade theory evolved when there was a gold standard..Not Fiat money.

  • People ought to read David Ricardo before speaking about free trade and theory. It would be beneficial to read Thomas Malthus as well. Ricardo and Malthus have insight that needs to be read now more than ever. Also, Stiglitz is crucial for a modern take on fair/free trade. For that matter, also read Krugman's Pop Internationalism.

  • Before NAFTA, most Mexican products already entered the United States duty-free. Very little actually changed economically with the passage of the act, other than duty free trade in exports to Mexico and the importation of raw goods. There has been displacement, but its not because of NAFTA.

  • Nafta sent our manufacturing jobs to Mexico thanks to Bill & Al with Hillary's help. The China Free Trade agreement galvanized and guranteed our American jobs would be sent to China, Korea, India, etc. Now our middle class is dissolving into 1 lower class and nobody in Washington seems to give a shit. When will thse numbskulls wake up and do something about it? Over 100 years of automotive manufacturing technology sent overseas. We are screwed royal my American friends.

  • 2) Free Market (Free Trade) Capitalism is not the American System of Economy. Free Market Capitalism "GLOBALIZATION" is destroying the world. Why? Because it is Imperialism! We need to go back to the American System of Economy. We need to get all our industries back. We need lots & lots of productive jobs, well paid Workers and opportunitys for small Business Entrepreneurs like we had under FDR Leadership. Back to basics. Globalization has Failed ! Google LaRouchePac Home

  • YES!

  • Google "Lyn Marcus the Second Coming of Leon Trotsky" to see what kind of man Lyndon LaRouche really is. In this little pamphlet Lyndon wrote, he compares Leon Trotsky to Jesus Christ.

Lyn Marcus was Lyndon LaRouche's name when he was a leader in the SWP (Socialist Workers Party).

Lyndon is only interested in what creates more power and money for Lyndon.

  • TheToolDude The real problem is lizard people from outer space. You still want to buy my 55 mustang. Do you have a credit card?

  • Comment removed

  • @TheToolDude Tell me all you know about Lyndon LaRouche please. Very interested in what his motives/special interests are. Would also like to hear your opinion. Thanks.

  • @gkgreger Free trade is just a new label put on an old tactic. Free trade is what King George used in attempt to destroy the colonial economy and stop Americans from gathering wealth. Britain taxed trade between the colonies, then removed or lowered taxes on goods shipped from britain to the colonies in order to undercut colonial prices. This drives local business out of business because they can't compete with the prices. This caused the revolutionary war.

  • @havoc092 Nice revisionist history you have going there

  • @AroundSun It isn't revisionist history. It isn't a huge secret either. It might be to socialists who don't get why the colonists revolted when the King lowered taxes. Pretty simple. When the King's goods are cheaper than yours on everything you can produce, the king runs you out of your own market - thus stopping you from amassing wealth. That's what we went to war over - the King's attempt to destroy us all economically for his own enrichment. Go back to school.

  • @havoc092 "Free trade is what King George used in an attempt to destroy the colonial economy"

LMAO....I still don't know if you are for or against free trading...

  • @AroundSun I'm against subverting the economy. And I'm against what you call "Free trade." It's cost us 1/3 of the nations jobs at this point. If destroying the US is your idea of prosperity, then perhaps we need to deal with you as well as with the politicians. And you can't be this stupid.

  • @havoc092 Oh, you are one of these 'they tooker jobs' guys. You want tariffs on imports and subsidies on exports. That isn't free trade. You are dumb....BTW, those 'jobs' aren't YOURS. They don't belong to you. You don't have ownership over someone elses entity or labor.

  • @AroundSun What we had before "free trade" is what made us a superpower. And that was tariffs on imports and anti-dumping laws. And the market is ours. If you wish to subvert it, we have a right to defend it and eventually will. At that point where do you suppose your verbal vomit will get you?

Who the "jobs" belong to is a moot point. The market belongs to us. I'm sure you have some nonsensical misdirection for that statement too?

  • @gkgreger Leftism is predicated on economic illiteracy. Liberals appeal to emotions and/PR using irrelevant truths as an obscure way to try to deflect facts from their world view. Political propaganda and cliches to sustain their narcisstic ideas that empower their self esteem. We don't have free trade, we would be a lot better off if we did. Oh no, cry cry cry, we have to make airplanes instead of t-shirts. Who wants to grow up to work in a ball bearing factory? Good ridden to those jobs!

  • 1) The reason poor Countries are poor/ banks are bankrupt/ people are loosing there jobs/ some are getting kicked out of there homes and the world is rebelling against there Governments, is because of Free Market (Free Trade) Capitalism. " GLOBALIZATION". This is Financial Imperialism and Economic Slavery. The world is sick and tired of Slavery! We have had enought of Empires!

Its time for the world to "Grow-Up". Say goodbye to this British System! F-U my Queen!

  • I am skeptical of free trade though I don't want globalization or a one world economy I want America to have the ability to be self sufficient

  • Are you a protectionist? "No, not really." WTF? How about, "No, protectionism is evil and you're a moron, Dobbs. I am for FREE TRADE." Ron Paul's trying to hide his real views to appeal to Dobbs's jingoistic, know-nothing audience.

  • Ok, if it's free trade then let it be "real free trade". Allow the consumer to "bypass" Walmart or Circuit City etc... and let us order straight from the Chinese market without any duty whatsoever added to our mail order item. We'll see then what we think of free trade.

  • its a shame lou basically stopped having ron paul on. either that or his show is booked....*sarcasm:* ahem,ahem..

  • Free trade among nations is NOT as beneficial to the people as some politicians make it to be. Our founding fathers taxed imported goods for a reason: to foster economic growth in America and prevent unfair competitive advantages. How is it fair trade when a communist country like China subsidize and force laborers to work for pennies to produce goods that will compete with a quasi-capitalist country like America that pays workers according to supply and demand.

  • As an American, you should be happy that China is subsidizing goods and selling them to us for far cheaper than we would be able to produce them. I agree, some Americans lose jobs because they can't compete, but the U.S. benefits as a whole from cheaper goods. Those who lose their jobs can go find different, more demanded jobs instead of working in an industry that is unable to compete in a global market. They are wasting important human capital that could be applied to a different industry.

  • When government subsidizes private business it creates an unfair competitive advantage. You are not looking at the whole picture, but you are only looking at it from a consumer point of view. It is economically healthy and greatly beneficial in the LONG RUN for countries to manufacture goods and provide services. The U.S. was a manufacturing power house, but now its an importer of goods. This CANNOT last indefinitely.

  • Oye Gringos Retardados Hijos de Puta anda a estos videos en you tube sobre el TLC o us free trade que el hijo de puta de alan garcia suporta el tlc que es una mentira.

    youtube videos:

    Free trade is a LIE.

NAFTA: Ten Years of Broken Promises

THE CORRUPT UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT - PART 1-14

    TLC? Solo Mentiras

Senador dice las verdades del TLC - NAFTA fue un FRACASO

  • Wow, Lou Dobbs was genuinely impressed, and even looked a bit kiddish and in amazement at the eloquence of Ron Paul

  • wowsa two whole minutes!... NOT

  • is it me or does politics ROCK!!! oh well just me...you always get one.lol

  • what do you tell someone who says

It outsources jobs, and gives critical american technologies to countries such as china

and that we could have jobs at home if CEO's wernt soo greedy, and paid employees more.

  • free trade should only happen in blocks like nafta.

i think china and america should not even trade with each other, they should concentrate on their own region.

southeast asia and south america could be really nice places if this would happen.

USA can also offer free trade as an incentive to having an open democracy like they did in the EU.

it cleaned up their back yard... could happen to yours

  • It is a national security issue. Do you want the American Company hold highest technology when the time of crisis have come??

Or do you want Toyota or a foreign company to have it. Thanks.

What do you think at a time of war, if a Nazi Germany Company have highest technology, their company have technology 2 generation ahead of Americans. Would you think the war would end differently and more American Life will be lost?? What happens Nazi German have Nuke bomb first??

    Answer this, Thank you!!

  • no document that is over a hundred pages long and sets exchange rates can be construed as free trade

  • There are 118 elements which can combine into billions of chemical compounds and create and infinite amount of tradeable goods. 100 pages is pretty small. Anarchist man.

  • I think free trade is good for most Americans. Yes some of those low skilled workers would lose their jobs due to outsourcing, but in turn we would all get cheaper goods. Consider the Price of ethanol, the government has basically given more incentives and subsidies to farmers to produce more corn based ethanol, while limiting much cheaper ethanol from countries like Brazil. Since farmers will be able to make more money from ethanol than food crop, food production decreases and price goes up.

  • Goods from China are not cheaper.

  • Free trade is good for Americans because when companies go to the third world and employ near slave labor the goods become much cheaper. :)

  • That is not completely true. Recall that prices are deteremined by supply and demand, so if one company goes overseas and imports its products at a lower cost and supply and demand are unchanged, the company importating will still be able to sell the product at the same price and reap profit in labor difference.

  • But then again, they would lower the prices until marginal revenue is equal to marginal cost to maximize profits. This means they would lower their prices.

  • Why the hell did Ron Paul not go Independent...

  • Wow, he would dump NAFTA. As a Canadian, that would be absolutely wonderful. Dump NAFTA as the US has never honoured its NAFTA commitments anyways. The US is the only country benefiting from NAFTA. Dump NAFTA and Canada can sell its massive energy resources to China at a fair price - let the US freeze in the dark.

  • Fair price from China? Makes me laugh. I for one am not for free trade and I would love to see our neighbors to the north and the south kiss become free trading partners with China and watch them dump all the products they manufacter on their shores. How long would it take for you to start screaming about that? Do you think you will keep your jobs when China can call on an unlimited supply of cheap labor?

  • You're talking about 2 different things. Canada cannot nor never will complete with China on labour costs. But they want our oil (i.e., Canada is the largest supplier of oil to the US). NAFTA requires Canada sell to the US under their terms (cheap and full access). US cheated on Softwood lumber - 200,000 jobs lost in Canada (made some fat cats in Georgia rich), BSE (cattle) claimed it was only in Canada (pure non-sense), harrashment on agri-good - the list goes on and on.

  • I think we could both agree that free trade has screwed both countries. I am from the south and have seen an ungodly amount of jobs head to Mexico. My parents lost their jobs because the company up and moved to Mexico. Some say my parents need to get some new job skills. Who wants to hire 60 year olds? On a side note, my aunt married a man from Canada and live in Barie (I think thats how you spell it) Ontario. We go up and see her in the summer and have fun on Lake Simcoe. Very beautiful.

  • I appreciate corresponding with a reasonable person - thanks. Free trade was meant to mean "fair trade" rather than generally chaotic market condition. Free trade had little to do with the job losses - Wall Street (Bay St -Canada) exported those jobs in order to attain the highest return (higher profits) for its corporate shareholders. The jobs would have left regardless. What America is doing is restructering its industry and rather than taking blame itself, free trade is a good scapegoat.

  • Corporatism and Special Interests - BAD

Free Trade and Capitalism - GOOD

Ron Paul makes sense. This is not a good time to ignore him. He's the only one in DC who knows what he's talkin about when it comes to the economy. Hell he's YODA when it comes to the economy! He's been right about a lot of things for YEARS when people didn't listen and the same is happening now. It's a fuckin shame!

  • Nice to see someone who uses reason on here.

Every time I defend Globalization someone accuses me of Being with CFR.

  • "Monetary policy...we're headed for serious trouble". It is now March 24, 2008. Boy did he get that right. FREE AMERICA...GET RID OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE.

  • It is sad guys. This country is hijacked by neo cons, Obama included. I think what Ron Paul showed was very brave, he believes in himself, knowing what is right and wrong. There are many many people in the USA who shared his point of view, but unfortunately, the majority seems blind for the reality.

  • Lou Dobbs is a retard

  • What sucks is Paul might lose his seat in congress. Which looks like it is going to happen. We will find out march 4th. It really makes me sad.

  • The Council on Foreign Relations is a treasonous coterie.

Of course, the media bestows honors on CFR candidates, the media is owned by traitorous interests. And the interest is to destroy the United States.

  • I am a Ron Paul supporter, but I understand what you're talking about. There are many supporters that will do anything this man says. He is different though, you can't argue that. And I have a feeling that's why people like him - he represents real change and he's honest. You can't say that about Hillary or McCain. ;-)

  • sachmoney, Obama supporters have the same mentality. He's doing well compared to Ron Paul because he's a member of the CFR and the media loves CFR candidates because many of them are members of the CFR as well.

  • Ron Paul IS something special. If you think the founding fathers were something special then Ron Paul should be special to you also. At least thats how we see it. Its frustrating to us that some people just dont see in Dr. Paul what his supporters see in him. The fact is NO other candidate supports the constitution as strickly as Ron Paul. I realize some folks are scared of his ideas but I thought it through & fear is no longer a factor. I believe in American determination & thats the key.

  • I voted for ron paul in the wisconsin primaries yesterday and he was defeared by hundreds of thousands of votes. i can only wonder what the majority of people are thinking. are these people so brainwashed by big politics that they cannot think for themselves? have any of these people even compared and contrasted the viewpoints of ron paul against the viewpoints of the media and corporate backed candidates? or are they blindly voting dem or rep like the propagandists have conditioned them to do?

  • yep. you hit it on the mark.

    most people are very stupid.

  • To all who think Ron don't have a chance to win or is crazy. Just remember Jesus had the same problems. Also Paul has said it many times over "It's not about me, it's about the message!" He has awoken me and many millions of others. That is where the victory starts. Revolution is on baby. Lets wake others up. Revelations: "He who has an ear, let him hear" evidently a LOT of people out there dont have ears. Let's give them some.

  • yes most people blindly believe the media, and they would like to keep it this way, so it won't destroy their "american dream" which is indeed a "dream". Because those dreams will never come true. It is up to them to stay in their dreamworld. Not my choice..

  • I think Lou Dobbs is merely a student as the rest of us are just learning of these actions by the underhanded. The misleadings of mis-dressed understandings. We are the government and he just like Glenn Beck, got a long way to figuring this all the way out.

  • Lou Dobbs and Ron Paul bring up a HUGE point about threats posed to our American sovereignty. The NAU super-highway serves foreign interests and threatens American jobs.

I agree with Paul's points about eliminating free medical and benefits to illegals and removing the "anchor baby" concept.

  • Lou Dobbs will be gone from CNN after the election - Just like Aaron Brown after 9/11 - Gone!

    Good job Lou!

  • Thanks to LOU DOBBS we "know the score" on certain issues, and are aware of the "temperature" that accompanies those CRUCIAL to our ECONOMY/TRADE/UNIVERSE. Thanks, LOU, for sharing with US, what could make or break our Nation's Market as it deals with Foreign Policy. We need not "go to Extremes" in any case.

  • Big Business corporate elites are terrified of Dr. Paul. Thank God for the internet, because main stream media(which is owned by corporate America) is doing everything in thier power to silence his name. The only small exception is Lou Dobbs.

  • Q:Can you live sidebyside with Umar Empire

A: Never, we must steal their resources by Maccin $1Tvets+Mitt $1Tblackwaters+Hill $1Timaginationwalls+Obama $1Tccdrugs+Blair UBSfact distortion+UN bribes+WorldBank hungercross+sharon kill them allmovie+Gore Cleanless elections everywhere!

Think out of the American box=Freedom

  • Once again RP tells it like it is! Lou Dobbs is cool as well and I know he was impresed too! Go Ron Paul!!!

  • NAFTA is an abusive scheme.

  • Let the IRS decide to go after you and seize your assets and garnish your income WITHOUT having to go through any due process, and tell me how free you feel.

  • lol

  • lol hope that was a joke

  • We need completely open markets with low tariffs just like in Hong Kong. No Government intervention at all. Lets reform our monetary system with sound money and demand transparency and accountability with the fed. reserve or get rid of them completely. Let the market place do what it's going to do and get the government out of it. The fed. reserve and our monetary policies are why we have our up and downs not because of to much freedom in the market place. Research illuminates this clearly

  • The free market is not a magic system, and often leads to poorer results than "socialism"/"government control". Examples: education and health care in 'socialistic' countries in scandinavia. Liberals often confuse freedom for effiency with freedom as a moral right.

  • Some sectors of the economy yes, but not all. I'm referring to manufacturing jobs where you didn't have to be a genius to perform your task. No doubt we have sold these jobs out of the USA. I have supported the president on some of his policies. Tax cuts ect. But if you want to call these deals free trade it's just not so. They are controlled trade agreements that favor the super wealthy and suppress creativity in the market place and stifle competition. We've been over taxed and over regulated

  • I can't believe that someone posted that managed free trade is saving jobs. Even the dept. of labor statistics prove that we have lost tons of jobs.

  • This is not true

  • This is simply a moronic statement. According to Bureau of Labor statistics we gained jobs with the passage of trade deals. Please do not lie.

  • Userduder, how is being a libertarian the quickest way to globalization? Libertarians are constitutionalists, which means they support national sovereignty. National Sovereignty is the exact opposite of globalization.... Either you're trying to piss someone off or you just have an outrageously bigoted viewpoint...

  • The "Management of NAFTA" is what is keeping every job from leaving the country. Truley free unilateral trade is far worse then NAFTA. What makes NAFTA bad is that it lowers tariffs, NOTHING MORE! Lower Tariffs = Cheap FOreign Labor, why do you think the US was a protectionist nation for most of it's history.

  • there are no more american jobs for industrial workers. everything you buy in the stores are made in countries that were once our enemies. Laws are passed to please big corporations so they get more profits. Goldmen Sachs is now America there is no America left because of the "Free Trade Agreement".Bush had seven years to fix the borders with an all Republican house and senate and still didn't do anything about sealing up the borders.

  • Please illuminate us Loserdooder. Tell us all about the evil libertarian Ron Paul.

I have been waiting for you my whole life to be enlightened on this matter.

  • You have an internet connection, there is google, look it up yourself. Use these keywords "Libertarian Platform" and "Ron Paul voting record" Its real easy.

  • I already have LoserDuder, I was being sarcastic!!! I know exactly who I am voting for! RON PAUL 2007!

  • You mean you want to destroy the US manufacturing jobs through free trade agreements with corrupt/communist nations. Then you want to destroy the service jobs through massive immigration from corrupt/communist nations? Is that the big brilliant Libertarian anarchist plan?

  • You need to do your research! Ron Paul wants REAL FREE TRADE! Not the corporate welfare NAFTA bullshit that we have now. You are either stupid, or are purposefully spreading dissinformation. ALL OF THE MANUFACTURING JOBS HAVE BEEN OUTSOURCED TO THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES UNDER BUSH AND CLINTON!

    FUCK OFF!

  • Ron Paul wants to unilaterally drop US tariffs to zero, regardless of what other countries do with their tariffs and quotas. That will totally destroy US manufacturing. The only reason NAFTA hasn't totally destroyed US manufacturing is because these FTAs have limitations and claim they don't allow the partner to wage trade war tactics on the US.

  • We should not have tariffs. Tariffs are not really a tax on a foreign country but a tax on our own people. If another country wants to reduce its own people's standard of living with protectionism, let them. We should continue to improve our standard of living by giving US consumers the broadest range of choices possible, regardless of how foolish other countries may act.

  • Ron Paul has said he will have a tariff to replace Fed income tax, however the Fed income tax is used to pay off debt to NWO banks and the Fed (Central Banks and to China). A Gold standard will increase the buying power of US firms which will lower component costs and wage costs for US firms, investment will be in confluence with the natural interest rate determined by supply and demand for money, therefore investment rates will be in harmony with growth rates.

  • I am sorry you have been fooled by the fact that Ron Paul voted against all FTA's such as NAFTA and the WTO, but you must understand that all Libertarians including Ron Paul want to unilaterally lower US tariffs to zero. READ WHAT RON PAUL WROTE HIMSELF ON THE ISSUE! READ LIBERTARIAN LITERATURE! You will have to dig deep, past all the euphamisms.

  • You are wasting your time with me! I will vote for Ron Paul even if he wants to paint the white house pink! He is the only honest true American in the race. If you like typing, then keep on typing. You are not going to change anyones mind. America is finally waking up the the big lie that is globalization!

  • The fastest way towards globalization is through a Libertarian.

  • He is not for globalization, he wants nationak sovereignty instead of world government which there is a push towards if you will open your eyes. He is not a member of the CFR.

  • (Part 1)

All exports are imports and vice versa, the US needs good hi-technology manufacturing jobs, NAFTA/ NAU will have a common external tariff, this raises the cost of components for US firms which are not corporations and thus do not get subsidies through corporate welfare.

  • (Part 2)

The management of trade and causes low paying job to go abroad, whilst the corruption of corporate subsidies means the NWO/mafia's associate corps can out compete new entrant firms and dominate technology misdirecting it to the purpose of weapons and control rather than a useful purpose.

  • Ron Paul is our last hope. If he loses the US is finnished! These NWO bastards Bush/Clinton have raped us for the past 20 years! And now we are on the verge of complete ruination!

  • What is your biggest complaint about the "NWO" other then you don't like it?

  • I don't like the idea of being a slave!

  • Well you will be a slave when you have to compete with the global average wage of 50 cents an hour. The only reason there hasn't been a massive drop in wages yet is because amnesty has been halted and the FTAs are limited. Libertarians want to remove all the stops.

  • You are so stupid I don't want to reply to you anymore. Ron Paul is the only one that wants to change the problem that you speak of. This is my alst reply to you. I don't waste my time on morons.

  • Want proof of the NAFTA highway?

    Google Trans-Texas Corridor.

    Look it up on Wikipedia.

Ron Paul 08! The Media lies are done for.

  • Ron Paul needs to be a LOT more concerned about H1B - I realize that might get him in trouble with Google ...

  • He is going to monitor H1B scams

He is going to kill NAFTA & the managed trade agreements that kill our jobs.

He is against national trade highway.

    He is against preemptive wars.

He is going to control the borders & against illegal immigration.

    He is against occupations

He is is for trade &

    He for less government.

I think, he is the man.

  • Ron Paul is dancing around his truth

He opposes NAFTA for the wrong reason - he wants NAFTA without goverment control

    See video

    Ron Paul Is WRONG

  • More like you are dancing around reality. I know disinformation when I see it. Everyone of your 4 videos says nothing and makes no point. A person would have to be pretty stupid to listen to you. Good thing Paul supporters are smarter than that.

  • Educate yourself

NAFTA was in play in the Clinton Admin and now Hillary even says that it is not working as hoped and wants to end it...

    Ron Paul 2008

  • ListenForTruth is telling the truth, you Ron Paul conspiracy nutters. Ron Paul opposed NAFTA because it wasn't 100% pure unilateral free trade. You want a guaranteed way to lose your job, vote for an anarcho-capitalist Libertarian such as Ron Paul.

  • ( Part 4)

Globalization is an increase in international trade but its a Trojan horse for Global governence, high concentration ratio's for a firm favoured corporations and Labour Unions which the NWO has in their pocket - in short its organized crime and corruption; this will destroy the Middle/working class.

  • Ron Paul is the truth here, vote for him.

  • Ron Paul is a Libertarian. He triangulates like the Clintons. Bashing NAFTA while beating the drum of free-trade. You voters are ignorant.

  • Are you willfully ignorant, or just full of shit?

  • Do you have any idea of what a Libertarian believes in? Do you know what Ron Paul voting record is? Are you just one of those code pink wacos who have abandoned the Democrats?

  • I just looked at your webpage. Is that what you do all day? Sit around and play War video games. That must be what has made you such a political genius.

  • I'm not sure about his stance on trade. He says he's for free trade but we need a real free trade policy. If we give another country a tax free market to sell their goods in then we should get the same thing from them. It's not like that though we give a free market to countries that limit the amount of goods we can sell in their countries and then they slap tarrifs on them to make them unaffordable for their average consumer. Now how is that free for us.

  • Duncan Hunter has a longer voting history, so its better then Ron Paul. And Hunter doesn't make wacky claims like, "Congress didn't authorize the president of the United States to use military force against Iraq." Hunters immigration record is also much better. Why does a politican have to be a shrill to get attention?

  • Duncan Hunter is a clown. He needs to admit defeat and drop out. His only purpose so far in this race has been to serve as a neo con mouth piece in the debates.

  • The New Conservatives are the free-trade/open-border Libertarians, you ignorant moron.

  • Lou Dobbs - in my opinion anyway - always tries to be fair. I'm glad the doctor appeared on his show because many reasonable people watch it. Strive forward patriots, this R3VOLUTION has only just begun.

  • Pledge $100.00 by November 5th for the Ron Paul campaign.

    Go to: thisnovember5th DOT com

Enter your email address to pledge 100 bucks.

The goal is 100,000 pledges to raise 10 million.

  • "You ask me what I think of the expediency of encouraging our States to become commercial. Were I to indulge my own theory, I wish them to practise neither commerce or navigation, but to stand with respect to

Europe precisely on the footing of China." -- Thomas Jefferson

  • Ron Paul voted 3 times for increased foreign worker visas.

  • Free trade is a con from the British Empire, it is not in the American tradition.

Ron Paul has voted 'yes' for Communist China, the most murderous government in the history of the world, to be granted Most Favoured Nation Status.

  • Congressman, you are correct! Ron Paul '08! Vote in the Primaries!

  • The top 10 meetup groups are #2 Obama 68 and 4100 members, #3 Draft Al Gore 66 with 1100 members, #4 John Edwards 47 with 1800 members, #5 Dennis Kucinich 46 with 1400 members, #6 John Kerry 41 groups 8800 members, #7 Hillary 27 groups with 838 members, then Hunter and last Gravel - #1 is Ron Paul with 800 groups 33,500 members and 5,000 members waiting for club status

  • OctoBox, you've been around a bunch of these Ron Paul sites. What will we do without Social Security?

    - Baby Boomer generation: there are a LOT of old people to support very soon. However, the last US Census taken estimates that there are more people 13-21 than there are Baby Boomers, meaning that what I previously believed (that there will be too many Baby Boomers to support) may actually be false. But, if we ARE to get rid of Social Security, what will we do with our parents/grandparents?

  • Butterfly: Ron Paul will bring home not only all the Iraqi troops, but as Commander and Chief he can close all foreign military bases - saving way over $1T per year. There would be more than enough money to keep most entitlement programs going (especially for the elderly) as we prepare the next generation to go it alone. If he pins the dollar back to gold, we'll gain 30% increase in dollar valuation in the first year alone.

  • So... once we rely on consumption tax, how much are we estimation the consumption tax will go up?

And will we have enough money for healthcare?

  • Butterfly: If gov't is small and there are zero subsidies, zero intervention, rule of law, dollar pinned to gold, zero taxation (to corps and against us) and zero protectionistic schemas on foreign trade -- the increase in consumption tax would be small - the main point is our money is worth more and we will keep greater amounts of it.

  • Soo... will the value of actual items go down, if our money is worth more?

  • Butterfuly: the value will not go down, but the price will and our purchasing power parity (PPP) will rise, meaning we will be able to buy more goods. Our dollar fell by 30% since 2001 alone. The dollar fall's because the Federal Reserve Bank (private corporation - we do not even know who the owners are) prints money and there is nothing backing it. 100% of Income Tax goes to Fed Bank to pay off interest expense. In 1913 Woodrow Wilson handed all our gold over to the Fed Bank.

  • I had meant price, not value, thanks for catching that. Where do you get your statistic for the "100% percent of income tax" claim you make?

  • BUTTERFLY: Go to ronpaullibrary org -- Go to "Taxes" link - then go to "End the IRS" link. Octo
