I feel as if Studio Ghibli had some hand in this, even if only in inspiration terms. I mean, a lot of it reminds me sooooo much of a Miyazaki work, especially Howl's Moving Castle.
@ziegogoboy Actually Miyzaki originally was a big part of this, and if you look on here somewhere you'll find a 10 minute video of how the animation and story was supposed to be under his direction. He eventually dropped out though due to some difficulties or falling out or something like that.
Woot! Finally found this movie (only been looking for about a week) but I remember this from whne I was really young, I didn't even remember the flying bed but I remember now.
I have a love hate relationship with this movie I loved watching this movie as a small child but it soured for me when I was five because this was the movie I was watching when my grandpa died when I was 5 in 96. That ruined it for me I'm afraid.
@AuburnTigers111 i just had a seance with your dead grandpa on my ouija board he says its ok to watch this movie and he also said rammer jammer yellow hammer fyi
there was allot of money laundrying in the film; the producers got design artwork practically for free from some of the greatest animators at the time (including Frank and Ollie of 9 old men fame) under the guise of concept art, but then they just took the american designs and used a ten of the funds to hire a japanese studio to do imitation american animation....don't get me wrong; this vdeo s nice and I am an anime fan, but watching the movie and its lousy acting and story structure......puke
just to be clear, the same person conducted and wrote the music for both E.T and the star wars films: john williams, so really there is no coincidence
WHEEEEEE! I love how you tributed Little Nemo! The ET music fit with it so well--especially while he was flying on his bed. :D
All we had was a recording of it on VHS, but I managed to find it at Wal-Mart for five dollars on DVD! Definitely the best animated film for children, in my opinion.
Thank you =) It is a pretty good movie, right now I think the whole thing is on youtube, but don't quote me on this cuz you know how fast things are disappearing on this site

I know this theme's from E.T. But why did I hear Yoda's theme in there?
DanSolo0119 2 years ago
Well when the music is played in ET, they're out trick or treating and they meet someone wearing a Yoda costume so I guess it's just a coincidence.
