Can someone make a video, explaining what happens after instaling and using SAM Broadcaster can do after the basics. I have SAM but I do have questions and things which drive me crazy. I have made a folder with all the play lists and saved play lists.

why cant we save a playlist to SAM. IT saves to a file we know nothing about and later getting the file I cant use it yet the folder containing the files is untouched.

One is a file MP3U which winamp plays.

Every SAM Tutorial on You Tube spends 5min on explaining how the basics work. Can you tell me how to save a playlist. I can save it on Winamp but I save the playlist and it doesn't work with SAM. I'm confusing myself so can anyone please make a video or get in touch with me on how to do it.

@junkiego Flash based players are your best bet, they just load up your stream in a flash applet, although a quick google search would have told you that..

Don't forget people can also play your stream in their own players ie:vlc/wmp

@ClTIZEN 128k is a very good quality audio and the industry standard for radio streaming, that tens of thousands of our customers use to broadcast to millions of listeners per day. It is comparable to CD quality and the audio quality you'd gain by streaming any higher versus the number of issues you'd get with buffering on bad internet connections means its not really worth it.

@ClTIZEN 128k is what tens of thousands of our customers use. If you want to be some sort of exception to the mainstream - thats fine, we'll stick with what is industry standard though as we're very comfortable with that sound quality along with the millions of listeners we serve each day.

@danie123182 Yep, no MP3 is CD quality. I agree, 100%. You are totally correct. This is why I pointed it out to the person making the video, after he said that "128k stereo = nice, crisp CD audio quality".

@ClTIZEN Of course I agree, I mean mp3 is meant to compress audio as much as possible without degrading quality but it does degrade a bit.. To get CD quality go with a higher bitrate ogg stream

@ClTIZEN 128kbit is obviously not the highest quality audio MP3 can produce. Certainly, if personal listening is the only concern then choosing a higher bitrate is obviously the way to go. However, upstream limitations on many internet connections means you can't always stream at these higher bitrates reliably. Also, many stream providers limit the bitrate to push more out of the bandwidth they purchase. As such, 128kbit is often chosen to avoid all of these issues.

Ok when I'm broadcasting and talk I can hear my own voice through my headphones...how do I turn that off? I still want to be able to hear the music and shit while I'm talking but hearing my voice on like a 1 second delay makes it hard as hell to talk.

Well since I for some reason can't get on there forums, I'll ask you.

Do you know why my Encoder says "access violation blah blah 00000000" then I made one using the mp3 like you did and it says connecting then "Disconnected (10060)"

mine done that. check the owner of the radio that you got your port right. Pass etc. I was lucky enough to have it fixed. best of luck :) And also now i changed my mic settings. and wehn i talk into the mic i cant here a thing and the whole mic side is frozen
