  • This building was build on 1965....

  • @tsengchungyin Yes, it's one of the oldest tall buildings in that area. But it underwent a major renovation in 2008.

  • These actually aren't new fixtures. Schindler has always had an 'alternative' set of fixtures (last 10 years or so) featuring Green illumination like that.

  • With the same button design and font?

  • Yes, it's in a few of their catalogs. One such installation is Tierra Verde, or the residential complex in Fanling where the kid was decapitated and died when the Schindler elevator started moving upwards with the doors open a few years ago.

  • Door lock is so quiet. Where's the standard chime? Is the chime standard or one note highter?

  • It's one note higher.

It seems that Schindler elevators don't have rattling door locks. The 'dit-dit' sound is simply the working of the door mechanism.

  • Yes, I also like that metal finish a lot, along with the warmer tone polished bronze finish.

  • Is 7 or 5 locked? I couldn't see your hand pressing one of those buttons on the left side.

  • Level 7 is locked. It's a private club that consists of two floors with the entrance at Level 6.

  • Shiny elevator.

  • Right, it utilizes mirror-surface stainless steel.

  • Includes mirrors on the inside.
