@gpzDave@sgtunix@josephguvnor@Darren950 et al. Sorry for the delay in producing part 2. I've been ill and that's slowed production of the rest of the series.
Neil, When are you going to upload part 2? I am interested in your opinion, I am currently at a motorcycle cross roads as we speak, I had a love affair with the KTM 950 Supermoto, apart from the lack of wind protection which made it a labour on the motorway. I have a 30,000 mile GSA and fancy a change, where do I go? the multi is fast and flickable with practicality which makes it close to a touring supermoto, which for me is the ideal multi purpose bike. Regards Darren
is there a capable less road oriented (at least has spoked rims) adventure bike that is also AFFORDABLE? Not all of us are rich bmw owners. What about us guys barely halfway through our twenties?
Like seguti said. You should host some sort of television show for motorcycles, or even have a top gear uk part just for motorcycles, kind of like the news =D
@gwalia4 You build it yourself. We started OneWheelDrive, 9 years ago, it's taken a long time to build enough credibility that the motorcycle companies will lend us bikes for filming and review.
@Kodiak31415 It was great connecting with you to man. Thanks for hunting us down. Sorry the series took so long to start, it's been a crazy few months.
You guys do a good video - kind or quirky and entertaining.
.........but as you know both of these bikes are too big/heavy for any serious off-road - they target a segment of the market with a dream. They should add an option for an "Auto Starbucks Order" (ASO) as this where these bikes will mostly hang out.
Notwithstanding, I know I will find you video well done and entertaing!
@Is2WonderWhy We realize they aren't for "serious" off-road, but they do fit a need. By example, while my KTM 690 Enduro R would be brilliant for portions of the ride, it would have been crippling for series of high-milage days. I think bikes like the MTS and GSA meet a need for traveling riders with limited time, but the urge to reach destinations further afield.
Personally I think all bikes need the "ASO", but I love me some coffee!
@zeth609 It was a relativistic 25mph, not sure what it was relative to though... Something, something closed course... something, something don't try this at home.
@Kaivalaginiviti I have a special place in my heart for KTM, which is why I own a 690 Enduro R. Unfortunately the SMT wasn't available for this trip and we've sort of covered the Adventure, though not in a "review" context.
@mister0ldschool Was good running into you too. There will be one episode of "sporting" on-road around your digs before we start in on the adventurous bit.
Looks pretty cool...but why not put a cheapy in there to see how the big $ metal earns it's keep...throw in a 100Hp (ish) V Strom DL1000...you don't go too far on ADVrider before running into a 'Strom owner...or even a more modern Tenere?
Your videos are always excellent...dry sense of humour...luv it!!
@madjak30 We're saving the Tenere for a special outing this summer. It would have been nice to have a Strom in the mix, but the logistics wouldn't allow it. It was hard enough getting the two bikes let alone a third from a non-existant Suzuki press fleet.
@onewheeldrive Yup, I hear ya...the local dealer here in Red Deer says they are not getting much support for demo bikes this season...bike industry has been a hurtin' unit for the past couple of years...
btw i'm guessing there won't be a part 2 ?

@DesmosediciAlice I sort of ran out of money and had to go back to the regular job, which stalled my production of this series.

god knows i'm a die hard fan of Ducatis but for the long rides i'd choose R 1200GS Adventure i love that bike

@DesmosediciAlice Wait till you try a KTM 990 Adventure ;)

@onewheeldrive i was watching entire day your videos especially i love Arctic Adventure , and you know what, you guys are the best

i hate to say it but personally i would've chose a BMW for off road drivin' and most importantly for cross country ride , R1200GS is da' winner

Ducati Multistrada off road..
It's more of a Sport touring type bike to me, seems like people are trying to make it something it's not, a bit like the V-Strom in my opinion.
heloderm310 11 months ago
@heloderm310 Like the V-Strom though, the limits of where you can take a MTS are blurry.
