For a guy not using a thumb pick, that was really clear - good job.
Couple of notes - mainly about plucking the bass.
1. In the intro, after the harmonics, you seem to mute the 6th string when playing the open 6th - TE leaves it sustained and I think it sounds better too.
2. And in the verse TE uses 6th string and 5th string plucks now and again to add the bass line.
These are simple adjustments but I believe it would add to your performance.
Hi everyone. Finger Lakes is one of the songs from the upcoming TE cd "Little By Little" (2009). Check out our channel for interview with Tommy about his upcoming cd.
Great job! Also a big thanks for your tabs I've found on the net: they are great! I have to say it is easier for me to play the middle part as indicated "for purists" since the right hand pattern has fewer variations.
wow.....ich hatte richtig Gänsehaut !!! Total super gespielt ! Woher hast du denn die super tabs dafür ? Ich habe nur so blöde gefunden, die stimmen aber hinten und vorne nicht.
Great playing! I remember first song I looked from Mystery album was this one and was crushed when I realised it was comeing as a bonustrack or smtin. Finally got it on Center Stage album :-)
Started playing old Jansch/Renbourn stuff. Nobody used one in those days, so now just find it alien. Tried to for Doyle Dykes stuff, which would really come alive with a pick, but just can't cope. This is just me - plain natural fingers!!
great man!;),maton :D:D:, maybe the harmonica trips a little bit to fast ;)
