  • Somewhere in Africa, people are dying to get that stuff. And we have so much of it, we can throw it into a shredder for our entertainment... Economies of scale, bitches.

  • @DevilDog016 People in Africa need medication not empty needles.

  • 0:59 it's raining aids/hallelujah it's raining aids

  • Funny world.

People watch movies on the internets but are incapable of reading a description.

As often proven however, they are very good at jumping to conclusions and telling us all about it.

  • just dont step on that junkies needle

  • this is like will it blend but cooler :)

  • AIDS! AIDS for everybody!

  • get rid of all of that biohazard crap

  • fk'ing hell lad.... don't TOUCH it... :D that's how biologists crated the aids cancer penis rot super germ

  • medical waste should be incinerated, no shredded

  • @yamaguto That was probably medical tools that wern't used

  • @sneezabonk it'll be out of date. a lot of the syringes are still in there 5 sheets. hospitals can't use things that have gone past the date as they may be too badly contaminated with germs by then.

I suppose it'd be okay to shred that kind of gear, as it's still cleaner than anything you'll find around the home. but for actual waste, 'incinerate only' stickers and tape exist for that reason.

  • Walking on cinder ?! Crap... Walk on this mess brave men :)

  • that shredder has AIDS now :(

  • I don't think that's safe because it shoots pathogens airborne? There has to be a more practical way to dispose of medical waste.

  • did you build this just for youtube? lol

  • Medical waste is usually burnt to get rid of the germs

  • yay! now i dont have to get shots!

  • I run a mobile medical waste shredder in Texas and its a piece of &#@$......... Hospitals will put hips joints and crap that dont belong in the shredder and you have to get in there with all the medical waste and dig the metal out from between the blades!!!

  • @aggiehateshorns omg that doesnt sound so good. somebody should invent something to possibly get all that stuff out of it without you going in.

  • what the fuck? HOly Shit. Where do these go? Mutation?

  • The shredder is already deadly enough in its own right, why not add some HIV to the blades to make it even worse!

  • hoooraaaayyy the used needles of 5000 aids patients is now ready to handle!

  • Ready to be dumpped into the ocean :D

  • 1:10 medical waste soup nomnomnom

  • pra q compra coisas novas e trituralas?: triturem coisas velhas po, por isso q o ser humano está se destruindo, pqp

  • I'm going to throw my wife in there.

  • AIDS nightmare!!!!

  • opps... there goes the swine flew vaccine!!

  • there goes all the crack and cocain and heroin!

  • I am sad. seriously. im addicted to watching medical waste go into a bloody shredder!

  • I want an SSI Shredder for having fun XD

  • @KaMiCiIfIcAtIoN Completely agree!

  • We used to use shredders and sometimes the shredding of containers with chemicals would cause a fire either by the chemical reaction of the chemicals combining or because of the chemicals being flammable and coming into contact with spark or heat caused by the shredding process

  • or perhaps have zombious toxic gasses in the air as they always do in horror movies !

  • just burn it waste of time man

  • @opera22opera burning medical waste leashes harsh chemicals into the atmosphere while shredding/compacting it ur just making the material much smaller.

  • When Osma Bin Laden get's caught i would LOVE to see him thrown into this Death Chamber but i would slow down the cranks a wee bit just for him , i think it would be more exciting than flying planes into buildings, what do you say people thumbs up ?

  • that's it, stick your head under there. breathe deeply.

  • Wouldn't this cause a lot of airborn particles? Of possibly infectious pathogens?

  • True, but these are simulated medical waste as mentioned in the descriptions, meaning they weren't actually used.

  • @67George id imagine this is just to show that their machine would be good for destroying everything, if a hospital did buy one for that purpose im sure they would make a shredder that can be sealed airtight and have some form of filter system to get rid of airborn crap, and also maybe a direct feed from the shredder to a compacter, now that would be cool

  • @67George

I highly doubt they throw that kind of contagious media away in a non sealed container.

  • @scoutII345 I don't think it matters whether it's sealed or not if you throw it in a shredder. Medical waste needs to be incinerated at a high temperature to destroy the pathogens therein. Improper disposal is just a recipe for an outbreak of deadly viruses and infections.

  • @67George read the description: In this video of SIMULATED medical waste

  • @67George

Include airborn needles too. Things just fly off at 0:40.

  • @67George its simulated. says in the video description

  • @GUSRULZ445

Yes Sir, it is, but SSI shredders are proposing that this is a good use for thier product. 'SSI Shredders, shows why a Quad shredder would be an appropriate shredder of choice to destroy medical waste'. They make a good product but I believe this would be a poor use of it.

  • @67George that's why it's SIMULATED medical waste. read a video's description before you comment. :/

  • @67George

exactly! thats why no one would ever do that. the containers for medical waste are designed so that they don't open or rupture even if you press them. so there is absolutely no point in shredding them. those things are filled with hazardous, infectious medical waste. the are taken from hospitals and labs and are incinerated right away - NO SHREDDING

  • Comment removed

  • @67George No. Used medical equipement such as needles are incinerated. This is clean stuff that has probably been rejected as a batch and needs cost effictive destruction.

  • aids written all over

  • simulated medical waste?

I wanted to see REAL medical waste....

  • watch it shred air commpressor

  • POW

  • now Mr Jones' blood is everywhere and doesn't that make it worse

  • Can shredder eat blenders?

  • This is perfect for me. I always loved to see things destroyed. Mythbusters is a good show too, on the subject... ^^

  • Waste from hospitaals do on shredder

  • So, when they shred real medical waste, can the recovered metal be used again even though it's contaminated with blood? The idea of marketing "recycled needles" doesn't put a lot of trust with the customers. "Ma'mm, we'll be drawing your blood today. Would you like to help out your community & use a 'recycled needle' instead?"

  • Gordon302, l.o.l. needles get recycled everyday? from all the, "junkies, crackheads&herion users"

  • Of course it can be used again. The heat involved in re-forging steel is much, much greater than that needed to incinerate any virus and even prions (CJB aka Mad Cow). The only thing left of that blood will be a tiny handful of carbon atoms dispersed throughout the iron.

  • it sounds horrible tho

  • that stuffs brand new! what are they doing i could use that on my cows at least

  • Federal regulations make hospitals throw away and destroy old like past the must use date and the stuff not used in operation kits even if they are not opened or used i agree it could be used in 3rd world countries and crap and alot of ppl that work at the hospital think so too but thats one other thing the government has screwed up with

  • but i do agree with international660

  • @international660 yeah true but there has to be a reason maybe when the get old they give off poisonous chemicals

  • sharps containers are not cheap... THAT was a huge waste of money

  • 6.00 isn't cheap?

  • all the stuff looks unused

  • oh oh do a school bus :D

  • Wouldn't it be more efficient to just incinerate that stuff? As well as cheaper?

  • No, the smoke would kill the ozone layers. If there is more than one layer.

  • Now nobody can enter that building again without a hazmat suit!

  • so THATS what happens when they take your blood for tests....

  • LOL

  • watch out for the HIV, cameraman

  • lol! they are chewed, spat out, but hold on and come back for more!

  • lol!!

  • L.O.L. get rid of more dirty sharps , lets see a junkie fall inside of one of these beast :P

  • those little SHARPS don't stand a chance against those BIG SSI "SHARPS" :P

  • That shredder needs to be standard equipment for a landfill facility as a 'last chance to recycle' stage. The metal needle particles would get picked out with magnets, and the rest looks like plastic and fiber that can be tossed into an anaerobic biofuel reactor.

  • Wow, never thought of that! I'll contact my local mayor & recycling centers with this idea. Thanks!

  • At 1:21, what was jumping around in the mess?

  • it was the small parts falling on to the pile m8 tho is does look like thay are jumping

    have a good day

    thanks Adam

  • OH! I see, NOW! Thank you VERY much, Adam!

  • Nothing - just shredded pieces falling from the top

  • it got all goey

  • Nasty

  • BIO Hazzard. Medical waste Burnt at high temperature. Nothing Left (1200 Deg. C)

  • you guys are so stupide

  • Wow...thin plastic...

  • OMNOMNOMNOM

  • Lol hypodermic snow at 1:00

  • at 1:04 it looks like a bunch of fuzzy stuff

  • shred a paper shredder. If you haven't already.

  • they have

  • shred chuck norris

  • are you crazy? those shredders look like they cost allot to make, be a shame to see one break

  • they couldnt make a shreder that strong

  • dude your stupid, we ALL know that's impossible

  • *You're* stupid.

  • haha you made irony

  • Mabey put the shedder in an incenerator. Super medical waste disposle

  • Not a good way at all! Just spreads more chance of contamination. Better doing it bulk or burning.

Still love the vid : D

  • I don't think that anybody would throw a bucket full of used needles into a shredder. You have to burn that stuff to keep it safe.

  • ohhhhhhhh.....lol. Fine, have it your way bitches. I was wrong.

  • simulated or not, this was still COOL.

  • yummy

  • God i love these shredder videos

  • Shread Francium with water!

  • man...the shredder is gonna be so hot =)

  • and explosive

  • plzz make more videos i love wathing them

  • Why do the shreder teeath look wet after if grinds up the syriges? Oh, is that body fluid? sick, in a bad way.

  • did you read the description? they said the medical waste was SIMULATED!

  • Big shredder = awesome.

  • Number one.
