Vogter is "one of the most passionate defenders of free speech on YouTube?" Vogter has a record of deleting comments posted to his videos in which the authors question his often frivolous claims. The only speech he seems to have respect for is speech that he agrees with.
Old video and old case, I see..but it's great to see you supported Vogter. He is maybe the YouTube-friend of mine who's videos I appreciate the most, so it was good he came back on back then. Cheers, mate! : )
This isn't a matter of some moral obligation to "society".
When you sign up for YouTube, you're bound by the TOS. That means, among other things, that YouTube gets to remove your account without your consent and without explanation.
Whether you believe in free speech or not, Vogter consented to that arrangement. That means he either believed that it was just, or that he would later be able to wriggle his way out of his end of the bargain.
Either way, he got exactly what was coming to him.
Great comments friend. It's good to hear somebody with some sense, it's a shame that these malicious flaggers haven't half as much as you. What's happened to free speech?
I used to believe that YouTube does review video flags before taking action but over time I've realized it's a load of bull. They don't even seem to have enough staff for maintenance. I seriously doubt they have enough for reviewing flags. Customer service? What a joke!
It is despicable how much YouTube's flagging feature is wrongfully used. I hope the people who flagged the videos are caught and indefinitely suspended.
i hadnt realised how utterly dispicable the flagging of the chippendale video was until i read your sidebar for this video. fucking tragic.
i didnt find the video funny but like u say, it was advertising something that will try to help others in awful awful situations. its time to get all fundies in a crater somewhere and just nuke em. please, we've waited long enough. ; )
I took a real interest in this stuff at first, but I have to admit it's just grown tiresome. I think this site is just a poor place to spend one's time on the net now, and it's only going to get worse. Too many idiots with big mouths, too much dishonesty, and a company that doesn't care at all about the behemoth they created, unless it puts advertising money in their pockets. To me, this site is pretty much dead now.
Hi there TMA, 5*'s & faved. I have to say that you seem to be a very fair person. Equal rights for all ! I like the way you handled this situation. And I agree with what you have said here. YouTube really needs to reconsider the way they handle issues and reinstate those that have just as much right as the next person to express themselves.
I've been looking at atheist videos from recent, doesn't seem to be much on any more.
if vogtors still going it, i'm happy. with folks like thepopculturepastor and others, we need um.

You are right. If you think a video stinks then one-starring it is an appropriate way of showing your displeasure.
themaskedanalyst 2 years ago
That would indeed be the logical, rational (and in this case compassionate) choice. So what does that tell us about the fundies? :-)

It was making fun of the loonies.
Someone made a similar one with DPRJones, Thunderf00t, Criss etc.
And they all thought it was funny.

I made that video too, with a friend. We thought that it would be funny to spoof ourselves asap.
