Humans aren't capable of loving everyone equally, nor are we capable of loving everyone. We are hierarchical beings,as evidenced by our own experience, the organization of society, and history. Also,in real life, there's no easy distinction between love & attachment, despite what Buddhism says and what many shrinks currently say about "co-dependence." You strike me as intelligent, but I sometimes get the feeling that your attraction to Buddhism is unquestioning, ephemeral, & based on its exoticism.
Liked this video very much. Shall go through others as well when I find the time. As a person who came to appreciate and follow the Dhamma after being a very devout Catholic during my youth, I have experienced the happiness that comes from understanding that suffering is due to my own attachment to phenomena that are impermanent. I like to share a thought too. The Dhamma uses the pali word mettha (translated as loving kindness, i.e. love that generates kindness rather than attachment)
Great video. I found the part of how people experience problems because they mix love with attachment. It reminds me of a saying I have heard about love, that if people truly feel they love someone, they will let them go. Thanks for sharing this video. :)
I was wondering if you can upload some material on love and realism; though there is no any deep reality, and the "reality" we think we are in is a mere creation of our mind.
I don't know where i stand on anti depressant medication, Gerald. For one thing, it makes your cortosol levels soar....which is really bad for you, physically. And, yes, you *can* become dependent on them. But then, they can also give you the mental clarity to be able to pull yourself together... my life is just more manageable when i am on them. But there is so much more to curing depression in the long term, than just taking pills.
"Looking through the index for love"...Great line. This reading was well done . I closed my eyes and used it as the focus of my morning meditation. Thanks.

This is excellent advice. I try to practice it as well, though it is certainly not easy.

Good vid. I just ran across 1 Corinthins: 13 and that seemed like a bucketload of good advice.
Paul says Love is the basis of meaning.

To make a mountain of your life
Is just a choice
But I never learned enough
To listen to the voice that told me
Always love? Hate will get you every time
Always love? Don?t wait til the finish line
