@feliztex Thanks for your comment. The foil tape is adhesive tape used for heater exhausts. It stands up well to UV and weather and took only a few minutes to add to the spokes. The test was really about trying to get enough torque for simple power generation using an old bicycle. The conclusion was that there really was not a lot of torque with this size wheel. I hope it inspires others to come up with ideas to solve the problems.
Nice work. I too have found that having it turn into the wind seems to waste more wind. It's better to have it mounted firmly in one direction and make up for it by having multiple windmills facing different directions all powering the same generator. I hope to post a video soon of some electricity being generated by my wheel.
for those of you who dont speak Japanese, 自転車風力 means scraper bike.
