  • They don`t make them like this, anymore.

  • A hit for Del Shannon

  • DL the audio from this track at speedyconversion doht cohm.

  • Sorry but that's all Rudy there and his voice is more natural sounding.

  • This is all Rudy Lewis--definitely-- too mellow & smooth for Charlie Thomas. But I agree they do sound alike.

  • It was an unreleased track. Rudy Lewis, best known as the lead singer to "Up on the Roof", "On Broadway", "Some Kind of Wonderful", "Please Stay" and others is the lead singer. Lewis was originally suppesed to sing the lead to "Under the Boardwalk" but was found dead in his hotel room at the age of 27. "Under the Boardwalk" was recorded the day after Lewis' death (they could not cancel the scheduled recording) and Johnny Moore sang the lead to "Under the Boardwalk" instead.

  • This was unreleased. From what I read the song was unfinished. Apparently both Rudy Lewis and Charlie Thomas do lead in different parts of this song, but it sounds like the same lead throughout the song to me. Charlie Thomas and Rudy Lewis do sound incredibly alike, so it's not impossible.

  • @PJDooWop

i've read somewhere that on the track: "when my little girl is smiling", rudy lewis sings the intro and charlie thomas sings the rest of the song.

could that be what you were thinking of?

btw, it's criminal that this song wasn't initially released. should have been a monster!

  • You very well could be right norris.... I agree that this should have been released. What a shame
