I love UP, Reveal and Around the Sun, I guess I just like hearing Stipe's voice :-p

I was also lucky enough to see their '95 tour. I also saw them in 2005 at Cardiff & Hyde Park. I think New Adventure's is definitely one of their best but there are some real gems on UP, Reveal & Around the Sun. Lets face it REM could burp and fart on a record I'd still buy it, and love it!!!!

to be honest, i didn't like what i've heard.. it's like a more up-beat version of "around the sun" but no great inspiration, no great riffs, no great chorus. i hope that i'm making a big mistake but my favorite band maybe "lost it" :(

apparently you don't know what "overproduced" is. Britney Spears with her slick autotunes massacre is overproduced. REM makes lush, poprecords filled with what most would call overproduction. this new album is a raw, rock record, the most underproduced album they've done since "New Adventures In HI-FI"

That little snippet of the chorus sounds brilliant! Great harmonies from Michael and Mike. Vintage REM. I wasn't sure about the guys releasing this before Living Well's but this sounds class. They still better release Living Wells though! lol
