At this point - good as the band was - the Jefferson Airplane aspect had disappeared. Seeing Grace do this at this point was rather painful... Yes, she still looked good (though on the way out of that, too) and sounded fine... I still thought she was great... but it was sad to see the 60s fade into the 80s with more digression than progression on this front. It's best that Hendrix and Morrison didn't last, if only because the Music Business would have crushed them... as it was already doing.

That's pretty good... Grace is wonderful and it's a great song but, I don't know--For some reason I always cry like a baby when I listen to and watch her with Airplane perform it at Woodstock. (Maybe I'm just weird?)

This is a stellar performance of an amazing song! I wouldn't say it's better than the original, because it's different. The original is a psychedelic song, this is the hard rock version.

This performance is way better than the Woodstock one, which is interesting because she should have been past her prime at this point...but she doesn't look like that at all. I don't know the date of the venue but it had to be at least 5 years after Woodstock, plus it has some early 80s kinda feeling.
